I can't believe I have not written a review for this place! This has been our go-to spot for…read morecelebrations (birthdays and anniversaries) throughout the years. However, the past two times we shared this place with another couple who loves sushi just as much as my husband and I do. One reason we kept coming back, aside from all the delicious food, was how they labeled their menu with the top food allergens. As a food allergy mom, I appreciated this so much! Especially when I was still breastfeeding, I had to eliminate all of my daughter's allergies to breastfeed safely. The main ones I had to look out for was gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame seeds. The safe was aware of my limitations and shared empathy, not annoyance like other places. T Thankfully I'm out of that stage so I can eat anything on the menu now. We would like to take our daughter here some day, she loves sushi a lot! But being only 5 years old, we'll need to save it for a special occasion. We get carried away when we come here. The food here is top notch and worth every penny, so we'll have to save up. Cooked dishes we always order: Brussel sprouts, steamed mushrooms, hamachi collar and miso cod. All the nigiri/sushi is fresh and you can't ignore the specials or seasonal menu!

Having lived in Hawaii, we ate sushi, sashimi, and poke on a regular basis. Finding spots like this allows us to create new memories while also feeling a bit nostalgic for the flavors we love. We might have gone a little overboard, but everything was incredible! We ordered the Crunchy Eel Roll, Hamachi Nigiri, and Tuna Nigiri, along with two of the EBESU Course menus. My husband had the Chirashi Don and I went with the Toro Tekka Don. Love, love, love. As you can see, it was a lot of food, but every single piece was cooked and cut to perfection. The dishes are very easy to share, and I think next time we'll lean into that more so we can sample even more of the menu. If you are looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese food, this is the place to go!

The one in Frisco was terrible, but this one is much better!…read more The green hulk and tango rolls were my favorite, but our party also really enjoyed the shrimp dynamite roll, red mountain, and Edoko tower. The ebi robata was not my favorite, the shrimp has quite a kick in the throat. The chicken thigh robata was really good. Excellent flavor. Salmon belly was nice and fresh too. We came to celebrate a birthday and they were kind enough to put her sushi in a sushi boat. Service was excellent, our waitress was fantastic. I'd like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I've ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I'm used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn't what I expected and wasn't to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.

The three of us ordered a variety of sushi rolls and shared them. We went with a wide variety of options and found it was hard to land on just one favorite as a result. They offer options with some unique variations (e.g. like the North Texas roll that is topped with guacamole and baked with spices). The prices were reasonable, and I will say the width of each piece was on the smaller end, and we still walked away very satisfied with the amount of our meal. The service was on the slower side. They got slammed shortly after we got there and said they don't typically have that much of a crowd on a Sunday night so it caught them off guard. The restaurants seating area is cozy with a warm ambiance.

God bless her there was only one waitress for all the guests and I could tell she was very overwhelmed. It took one girl I was with over an hour to get any of her rolls and we had to remind our waitress. The salmon I got was really good and it said it came with the Japanese vegetables and I literaly only got 2 small carrots and 2 small potatoe slices, I love vegetables so this was extremely dissapointing.

The bartender has such a sunny and sweet demeanor. I am giving her a 6 out of five. My drink was the painkiller, I am giving that a five out of five. So wherever I go I order fried green tomatoes. Now I am conflicted. The green tomatoes were almost ripe. However, the seasoning, the breading, and the shrimp on top were seasoned to perfection. So altogether I will give a 2.5.I didn't order red fried tomatoes. I had the Haddock and Linguine. I don't have to have it again. The Haddock tasted burnt on the bottom. Now I know it could have been delicious because when I put it in the sauce with capers it tasted much better. I am giving the dish a 2. My partner had the oysters they said they have had better broiled oysters and gave them a 3. However, their main dish they give a 4.5. Total experience is an honest for me 3.8. I will round up and give them a four. Try it for yourself you may like it.
