What a great experience! We wanted something super local and quick and ran into Sushi Town. The sushi was phenomenal and well priced! The cashier was super sweet & friendly. The vibes were great, a little smaller than expected but so well maintained. We will be back!

FOOD - Salmon (Spicy) - good, spicy, and fresh Salmon with cucumber inside. - Las Vegas Roll - This roll is a deep fried salmon roll with cream cheese. It has spicy mayo, wasabi mayo, and an eel sauce on top that is super tasty. It's warm on the inside and crunchy on the outside. - Salmon Skin Roll - There's the burn/pan cooked essence to it that's really good. There's also a hint of tangy sweet flavor which makes it delicious. VIBES The place is quite small with maybe around 10 seats. There are some traditional decorations such as the curtains throughout. You grab your own utensils as well. SERVICE Service is phenomenal. Looks family owned and all the people are very sweet. It's also very affordable for good quality sushi that you can grab and eat.

We visited around 7:30p on Friday. Place was empty but it's such a cute spot. Very intimate seating, nice music, very clean. We ordered 3 rolls and dumplings. Came out quick and was delicious. We enjoyed our meal. Price was great as well.

10/10 Hidden Gem I used to work over at Medical City Plano and this was my GO TO sushi place. It's a pick up/take out sushi spot that is no frills but doesn't skimp on quality, consistency and overall flavor. It's also affordable and the people are so kind. Nothing I found in the DFW came even close to this place in terms of quality and cost. I would order from here once or even twice a week. My favorite was the Las Vegas, anything with eel, their vegetarian roll options (so healthy and fresh) and their Louisiana roll (fried crawfish inside). I live in colorado now but I'll always think about this place and visit when I am in Texas.

One of the best places to get affordable, good quality sushi in Dallas! Especially like their 2 for $10 or 3 for $14 roll deals. Pretty decent fish quality for the price! Family-run and very lowkey/chill ambiance.

This was my first time here & although the location is very small, has about 4 tables I believe, the food is very delicious! Cashier was very nice and the chef seemed happy to make the food! Would definitely recommend for a quick bite even for take out.

My husband and I have been coming here since we moved to Plano (about 4 years ago) and THIS is our SPOT!! We've probably at least gotten 1 of each sushi roll over the years but our staples: Philly roll (can't go wrong here) Spicy tuna Spicy tuna crunch Rainbow roll Hawaiian roll Last night we got a few different rolls we don't typically get (I'm pregnant, so I have to get them cooked) and they were great! The price of sushi here is what initially drew us in, but the quality and customer service are what's kept us around :) Also, it's a quaint little place inside! It's never super busy and always clean. We always do take out.

Awesome place for affordable sushi! They have a 3 rolls for $14 deal which is a great deal. Love that it is family owned and operated. Did think that the rice felt like it needed to be more compacted/have a better vinegar ratio but overall it was good for the price! Everyone working was friendly and welcoming. Loved the ambiance sitting inside at the tables or at the sushi bar

Great affordable and quality sushi spot! Everything was delicious and they made modifications with no complaints! Tried the takoyaki, deep fried potstickers, volcano crawfish roll, salmon roll, California roll and the kids teriyaki chicken bowl with steamed rice! Everything was sooooo yummy!

This is predominantly a take out joint. Supposed to be reasonably priced sushi. They also serve sashimi and Nigiri. Had Sashimi, seaweed salad and miso soup. If you want Sushi on the go this is far better bet than the one from gas station. If you looking for great dining experience, this is a wrong place.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall, absolutely love this spot. The menu has a big variety of items and it is one of the most affordable options out there. I got the crunchy tuna roll and the spicy salmon roll, both for 10 dollars! They were super good, would try other items on the menu in the future. The place is really tiny and kind of in the middle of no where but it's very clean.

It had spinach, which wasn't traditional, but I enjoyed it all the same. The chashu was good (my only complaint is that I was having trouble biting it off!), the broth was rich, and the noodles had good texture. Plus it was slightly cheaper than other ramen in the area! The vibe was cute, mildly traditional ramen shop with Ghibli movies playing and smelling great. I'd say the service was a little slow and inattentive as my only complaint. I'll for sure be bringing others back!

The omerice curry was pretty darn good, I didn't have much to complain about for this dish and I recommend it. However, the wife's donburi bowl with chicken katsu was very bland. It's like it had no seasoning whatsoever, so this dish was sadly a disappointment. Hence the 3 stars for a balanced rating between a good curry dish, appetizer, and atmosphere to a bad and under seasoned dish that she was unable to finish. The service here also left more to be desired. Would I come back? It's hard to say, maybe..but only if I happened to be in the area. I am curious about their ramen.

However, the past two times we shared this place with another couple who loves sushi just as much as my husband and I do. One reason we kept coming back, aside from all the delicious food, was how they labeled their menu with the top food allergens. As a food allergy mom, I appreciated this so much! Especially when I was still breastfeeding, I had to eliminate all of my daughter's allergies to breastfeed safely. The main ones I had to look out for was gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame seeds. The safe was aware of my limitations and shared empathy, not annoyance like other places. T Thankfully I'm out of that stage so I can eat anything on the menu now. We would like to take our daughter here some day, she loves sushi a lot! But being only 5 years old, we'll need to save it for a special occasion. We get carried away when we come here. The food here is top notch and worth every penny, so we'll have to save up. Cooked dishes we always order: Brussel sprouts, steamed mushrooms, hamachi collar and miso cod. All the nigiri/sushi is fresh and you can't ignore the specials or seasonal menu!

Having lived in Hawaii, we ate sushi, sashimi, and poke on a regular basis. Finding spots like this allows us to create new memories while also feeling a bit nostalgic for the flavors we love. We might have gone a little overboard, but everything was incredible! We ordered the Crunchy Eel Roll, Hamachi Nigiri, and Tuna Nigiri, along with two of the EBESU Course menus. My husband had the Chirashi Don and I went with the Toro Tekka Don. Love, love, love. As you can see, it was a lot of food, but every single piece was cooked and cut to perfection. The dishes are very easy to share, and I think next time we'll lean into that more so we can sample even more of the menu. If you are looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese food, this is the place to go!

I've been to Michelin starred omakases (including tempura omakases) in Japan and New York, and this place honestly meets or comes extremely close to fitting the bill in terms of food and service. At the Michelin restaurants, you pay almost double the price for high quality ingredients, stellar service, ambiance, and a Japanese toilet :P For $100 pp for the tempura omakase at Takumi Hachi, you leave feeling full and satisfied, with a great selection of light and deliciously fried fritters. Each person gets a bowl of their divinely delicious tempura sauce with a generous amount of shaved daikon (not even lying when i say this is my favorite tempura sauce i've had, i could've just drank it on its own) and a selection of salts, with each course given a recommendation of which salt to use. In terms of ambiance: frankly speaking, if it was just the counter service omakase, i'd say it would feel more stuffy and unapproachable. But there is a general seating area that is not counter service where you can order off the menu for sushi, robata, and a la carte options. No dress code enforced or recommended, so you can be dining with all sorts of patrons with different sizes of families and children. whether or not this is your jam, it's still an extremely accessible place to dine for anyone and everyone. Reservations were incredibly easy to make (tempura omakase only From Sunday thru Thursday). Service was really kind and attentive, my husband's water literally never went below half empty. The only thing to take service to the next level is if they cleaned/wiped your plate/gave you a new plate between each course. American toilet. Lol. That's neither here nor there, but the bathroom is very clean lol! They were also sweet enough to read my reservation note for the occasion for dining and gifted us a delicious strawberry mousse, accompanied with a surprise tableside matcha to end the meal. I'm already looking forward to try their kaiseki set meal next time, and know that this place is a top contender to take my friends or loved ones for special occasions. I can't speak much for their sushi, but I added on some robata and grill menu items to the omakase and they were fantastic. Highly recommend the maitake mushroom tempura add on to your course. If you order ebi sushi, they offer to take the head once you're done eating the sushi and either put it in a miso soup or fry it for you, which i thought was a wonderful option. Also, we got tempura anago, something I've never had anywhere else, served two different ways. That alone was enough to make this experience stand out. For an experience like I had tonight, I felt as if the restaurant should be more full. Maybe because it is tucked away behind the other chain restaurants in Addison that are a little easier to see. Don't hesitate if you see the price tag, I definitely think you get a great value for food, service, and experience. We were there for two hours and enjoyed it very much. Thank goodness i don't have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas to enjoy some delicious Japanese food without the headache and hassle of finding parking and an accessible reservation.
