I ordered fried rice and it had no scrambled egg and it was dark brown, which I'm assuming they cooked it in the same wok as other dishes. I do believe when preparing fried rice you're supposed to cook it in a different wok, so it doesn't get all the sauces from the other dishes being made. It simply didn't taste good. My roommate and I were looking to try a new Chinese place and came across The China Express. We were trying to get delivery but their website stated that due to accuracy issues that delivery was disabled. This was a little concerning but we ordered pickup instead. We got an order of Crab Rangoon $4.99 for 4pcs, Fried Dumplings $4.99 for 8 pcs, Egg Drop Soup $2.99, Hot & Sour Soup $2.99, Combination Mei Fun $15.99 and Sesame Chicken with Steamed Rice $14.99. The Rangoon were not good at all, they lacked filling and were very tough. The dumplings are pan fried and taste great flavor wise. They were not crispy at all, most likely due to the steam from picking it up but still tasted good. The soups were both generic and okay. The Sesame Chicken was not crispy at all, got super soggy and the steamed rice was tough and not very good either, very disappointing. The Combination Mei Fun on the other hand was a good portion size and very tasty. The shrimp stood out as very plump and bigger than most Chinese places give. So overall, it is okay, I would go back but may need to try some other things or stick to certain dishes. read more

Welcoming. Big open area. Hit pop Music playing. The menu is pretty simple looking. What you would usually find at a Chinese place. I got the chicken and broccoli with a side of fried wings. The chicken and sauce tasted kinda tangy. The sauce could have been better. The broccoli..... eh. Could have been more steamed. Wasn't crazy about them either. The amount of food was ok. Wish there could have been more rice with the order. The rice was ok. Actual the rice tasted better than the chicken and broccoli. The wings were ok. They could have been better too. We ordered the seasame chicken, orange chicken, bbq ribs, and crab ragoon with steamed and white rice. First let me say how well the chicken was cooked. It was moist in every bite. Every piece of chicken we ate was tender and moist. I don't know the secret to preparing such perfect chicken but let me tell you when I say it was delicious, I mean it will make your tastebuds dance. The flavors of the sesame and orange chicken were tasty. There is no shortage of sauce on the chicken. It is generously drenched. If you are craving some yummy Chinese food, stop in. Marshall will greet you with a smile. If there are people in before you please be patient as I said, Marshall is a one man show and he is serving those dining in and those placing orders to go.
