Soups were excellent. Sweet and sour pork also excellent I decided to go back 4th time. To try their lunch special. It was a lot of pretty good food, but I'm a food snob. And much preferred the single dishes. They have a roast duck for 18.99, but it has to be ordered a t least a day in advance. I ordered fried rice and it had no scrambled egg and it was dark brown, which I'm assuming they cooked it in the same wok as other dishes. I do believe when preparing fried rice you're supposed to cook it in a different wok, so it doesn't get all the sauces from the other dishes being made. It simply didn't taste good. My roommate and I were looking to try a new Chinese place and came across The China Express. We were trying to get delivery but their website stated that due to accuracy issues that delivery was disabled. This was a little concerning but we ordered pickup instead. We got an order of Crab Rangoon $4.99 for 4pcs, Fried Dumplings $4.99 for 8 pcs, Egg Drop Soup $2.99, Hot & Sour Soup $2.99, Combination Mei Fun $15.99 and Sesame Chicken with Steamed Rice $14.99. The Rangoon were not good at all, they lacked filling and were very tough. The dumplings are pan fried and taste great flavor wise. They were not crispy at all, most likely due to the steam from picking it up but still tasted good. The soups were both generic and okay. The Sesame Chicken was not crispy at all, got super soggy and the steamed rice was tough and not very good either, very disappointing. The Combination Mei Fun on the other hand was a good portion size and very tasty. The shrimp stood out as very plump and bigger than most Chinese places give. So overall, it is okay, I would go back but may need to try some other things or stick to certain dishes. read more

Ordered delivery via grub hub and received my food early so that was awesome! Now time to review the food... Wonton soup- wontons looked like potstickers, maybe I'm just used to round wontons? Anyways the wontons were doughy and falling apart in the broth. The broth is usually my favorite part and it just fell short... it tasted very artificial and flat. General tso chicken- tastes like general tsos should. It does not come with broccoli as advertised. Szechuan beef- tasted flat and artificial. Maybe it'll taste better the next day. You know it's not a good sign when you go to a restaurant for the first and the place is empty. During dinner time. This made me cautious walking up to this door. The dinner room is not bad. Welcoming. Big open area. Hit pop Music playing. The menu is pretty simple looking. What you would usually find at a Chinese place. I got the chicken and broccoli with a side of fried wings. The chicken and sauce tasted kinda tangy. The sauce could have been better. The broccoli..... eh. Could have been more steamed. Wasn't crazy about them either. The amount of food was ok. Wish there could have been more rice with the order. The rice was ok. Actual the rice tasted better than the chicken and broccoli. The wings were ok. They could have been better too. Great food!! The restaurant is quiet and clean and the staff is nice. We got Sesame and Orange chicken each with rice and drinks. It was about $23. Both sesame and orange had a decent fresh flavor. Grossly disappointed and menu does not represent what you get. Ordered dumplings, chicken fried rice, shrimp with vegetables and broccoli beef. Would have returned it all if they would take it back. Dumplings: bland and boring but sauce to spicy we couldn't eat it. Just got a mouthful of seeds and red pepper flakes. Chicken fried rice: lots of chicken but rice tasteless and dry. Shrimp dish: showed lots of shrimp and variety of veggies for n white sauce. Received bowl of water chestnuts, carrots and some broccoli in weird brown sauce. Veggies had bitter aftertaste. No corn, mushrooms or snow peas anywhere and NO white sauce. Beef & Broccoli: mediocre, flavorless, meat chewy and tough. Won't make the mistake again. read more

I will never order from this place again. The food really has the blandness taste to it. The egg rolls that I got were crunchy on the outside but super soggy on the inside not sure what that means but I didn't eat them. The sweet and sour soup did not taste like sweet and sour soup at all and I'm sorry but I do feel like the fried rice was cooked way too much. I did not get my soda and the older man that came to the door was very pushy very very pushy about his tip and acted like he didn't want to give me my food until he got one. read more

We stopped in for a quick bite between my sons soccer games. We intended to go to subway but saw this nice little restaurant around the corner and decided to pop in. We were NOT disappointed. It seems that Marshall is a one man show here. He greeted us with a smile and proceeded to take our order. Our food was ready within 15 minutes. We ordered the seasame chicken, orange chicken, bbq ribs, and crab ragoon with steamed and white rice. First let me say how well the chicken was cooked. It was moist in every bite. Every piece of chicken we ate was tender and moist. I don't know the secret to preparing such perfect chicken but let me tell you when I say it was delicious, I mean it will make your tastebuds dance. The flavors of the sesame and orange chicken were tasty. There is no shortage of sauce on the chicken. It is generously drenched. If you are craving some yummy Chinese food, stop in. Marshall will greet you with a smile. If there are people in before you please be patient as I said, Marshall is a one man show and he is serving those dining in and those placing orders to go. Expect a minimum 15-20 minute wait. This is not fast food...it's good food prepared with pride and care. Enjoy! read more

This location have been serving Chinese food since 1998. The first owner had the restaurant for over a decade before he sold it to the second owner who also sold American Chinese food for a few years. After the second owner, the restaurant turned into a casual MaLaTang Cafe, and it stayed open for about eight months before the new Owner bought it and turned it back to traditions American Chinese Cuisine.
