10/10 Mongolian beef with added spice was awesome. So was the egg drop soup. Owner/service is great. Been multiple times now and everything has been really good. read more

Ordered delivery from here and it's some of the best I've had in years. Crab Rangoon arrived, crispy and nicely filled with a slightly sweet but crabby filling. Eggrolls arrived, crunchy, and full of flavor and filling. Shrimp entrée arrived full of large, perfectly cooked shrimp, and fresh vegetables. My new go to for Chinese in and out. Well done! read more

If you crave authentic Cantonese/Thai food this is your place. We had pad Thai (spicy), orange chicken, and hot and sour soup. The pad Thai was exquisite. They didn't want to make it Chinese spicy so they gave me chili paste to add to it and I loved it. The orange chicken was sweet but not cloyingly so. Tender chunks of chicken fried perfectly. The hot and sour soup was actually hot and sour! I added chili oil to it and it was delicious. The ambiance is open and comfortable. The service was great when we went, however, when our friends went with their young children the wait staff was reportedly rude. That was not my experience, but it is disconcerting to hear. I'll give it 5 stars based on my experience. read more

We ordered to go which was easy and quick. The food overall was okay. The beef and broccoli were too sweet and mostly broccoli. The pad Thai was good as were the pot stickers. We will give it another try. read more

I got steamed broccoli with the brown sauce that came with. Literally amazing! Finished the entire dish in one sitting. There were a few vegan items, and I was able to get something. This was take out and my dad went to get the food so I didn't interact with staff. The food was ready in 15 minutes. This place is great! read more

We had a desire for some American Chinese food and decided to give Lucky Bamboo a try. We were warmly welcomed and seated right away. The service here is great! The food was served quickly and hot and the servers were very nice. We had the Beef and Broccoli and the General Tso Chicken. Both portions were plentiful and a good value for the price. The Beef and Broccoli had great flavor and tender beef. The only slight miss was the General Tso, the chicken lacked any crispiness at all and the sauce was just sweet even though we asked for it to be spicy. Very good spot overall and we would certainly try it again. read more

Some of the best Chinese food in Addison! There pecan shrimp (not walnut) is fire! And the shrimp size are jumbo! Not just because of the breading either. They also have some of the best sesame chicken we've had by far! Definitely in our top 3 favorite spots to go! Always worth the trip! read more

YES!!! 6 stars if there's an option. A somewhat typical strip center box that's comfortable, has a bar, and the kitchen pumps out consistently good standard Cantonese focused chinese food for American palates. The service is friendly and attentive. The parking can be challenging; but, it is worth it. Their lunch specials are very reasonably priced, fully inclusive, and the options are broad. If you don't see what you're in the mood for, ask and see if they have a lunch combo and/or pricing. You'll be well served to put this establishment in your rotation. read more

I've been on the search for good Chinese food and this one hits the mark. I'm from the east coast and it's been hard to find similar Chinese. read more

Service was kind and quick. The food was very good. We asked for "non spicy" dishes to have spice added and they nailed it!!

Wish I took pics but we are so fast I didn't even get 1! We've been looking for good Chinese takeout for months and our search is finally over! The food was fresh, amazing flavor, decent prices as well. The service was great, lady at the front was kind and quick on her feet. The restaurant was spotless and everything was amazing over all. read more

This is the best Chinese we've had since moving to the area 6 years ago. Alice is the best and she always makes sure everything is perfect! The food is incredible and we have NEVER had a bad meal or experience here. It's a weekly must have in our house! read more

My roommate and I got delivery from here one weeknight for dinner through DoorDash. I got a large Hot & Sour Soup $6.99, this was spot on and delicious. I really liked that they are not stingy with the crispy wonton strips like some places. For my entree I got the Sesame Chicken $15.99 came with steamed rice, this was just okay. I did like that they include some broccoli in the dish. I did not like that the chicken was soggy and some pieces were tough. The rice was surprisingly fluffy and not dry. This was delivered relatively quickly so I will try this place out again for some different entree dishes but I did really like the soup. read more

We used take-out. It was available in less than10 minutes. Portions are large enough for 2 or 3 people if you are getting several dishes. We enjoyed the 'Happy Family' and 'Chicken Fried Rice'. Both had generous amounts of protein and flavor was excellent read more

Lunch prices are good (10.99). Restaurant is clean and well lit. Employees are friendly and attentive. My food (orange chicken, fried rice, egg roll) was marginal. I prefer all white meat and this was definitely not white meat. I won't order this again. My partner's food was good and he enjoyed the meal. read more

We drove from Rockwall to eat here. My son is one of her favorite customers Alice greeted us like she had know us for years. Very welcoming, and has excellent customer service skills. They both were very attentive, and made sure we had everything while dining. The decor is very simply, not to overdone with pictures or signs. They have very comfortable sitting at tables or booths to accommodate guests. Spread out just enough. Between the 7 of us, we tried cream cheese Rangoon, eggs rolls, meso and egg drop soup for starters. They were all delish. Very fresh ingredients for sure. Seasoned perfectly. Our entree included several choices. We had sweet-and-sour shrimp, pad Thai beef, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken lo mein. All served with white rice. The food was hot. It was definitely authentic Chinese food. The flavors were bursting in our mouth. I can't wait to come back and try more options next time.It was all so filling, we ended up having leftovers to take home. Lunch will be so good! Alice definitely has earned a new customer! And will not mind the 30 minute drive to get there. Thank you Alice, from the "young grandmother" read more

My family loves coming to Lucky Bamboo. The food is always cooked perfectly and the flavors are exactly what we want when eating Chinese food. Portions are on the generous side so expect to take plenty of leftovers home. Haven't ordered a single plate that didn't taste good wouldn't order again. The thing that stands out the most is the service. We have the same one of two waiters and even when it's been a long time since last dining there the staff remembers our kids and they are entertainingly silly with them. I can't say this is absolutely going to happen if you take your littles, but I don't know why our kids would be treated any differently. So it's fun for our kids which is unique because, let's face it, kids get bored at restaurants really quickly and start behaving in a way ya don't want them to. With this playful staff, and yeah the TVs, everyone's happy and able to enjoy the delicious plates. read more

The food is always fresh and delicious. The waitress was wonderful in recommending, even informing me that some of the things I was asking about were usually not liked by western palettes. Once I told her I had them before she gave me other things that I may like also. The chili oil was as spectacular, and bought some to take home. The waitress told us how to use it so it lasted as long as possible. The decor is no nonsense Asian American with nice (living) bamboo and a clean fish tank. I highly recommend this independent (mom and pop style) restaurant. Go give them a visit. read more

This was my first time here at the restaurant. I was there for lunch, service was great and most of all food was delicious.

The interior is open ,light, and inviting. I was dining alone and I thought I would feel uncomfortable but everyone was so friendly. The owner came over and talked to me and she was a delight! I had hot and sour soup, Rangoon, and sesame chicken. All delicious! The broccoli that came with the chicken was so fresh, and the chicken was crispy and not too sweet. The servers were so kind and very friendly. Can't wait to come back! read more

Dallas and the surrounding areas have a plethora of Chinese food establishments, and in fact, it can be hard to make a decision on which places to choose for a delightful lunch or savory dinner.  I first found out about Lucky Bamboo last year in November, and on that day, I had the General Tso Chicken. Later on this year, I had Mongolian Beef, and today, the fabulous Sweet and Sour Chicken.  I have had Chinese food from Texas, Florida, Nevada, and California, and let me say with my honest and humble opinion: Lucky Bamboo is among the best Chinese food I have ever had. Every single meal I have had from there has been beyond exceptional!  From the high quality meats involved, to the vegetables adjoining, everything is amazingly fresh and packed full of flavor, something many other places in my experience are lacking. The key word, Flavor, I will build upon shortly.   For instance, today, as I dined on the Sweet and Sour Chicken, I was just not only in awe, but I was floored on the quality of it all: The sauce itself, the plump and juicy breaded chicken breast, and the outstanding homemade egg rolls, all created this culinary masterpiece that I enjoyed thoroughly. You do not have this kind of quality in every Chinese restaurant. With this dish, you get the juicy breaded chicken cooked with the sweet and sour sauce together!! Superb! The sauce was smooth and delicate, full of citrus-like flavor and blended perfectly with the fresh fried chicken. Every single thing about this dish worked together as it was created, and meant to be.  The Mongolian Beef I had previously had such a flavorful sauce, and the beef was juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked.  The General Tso Chicken, in addition, was outstanding, unique, and very different from other places I have had: Blanketed with a slightly spicy, yet thick and creamy brown sauce, joined by a side of fresh broccoli bursting with the flavor broccoli should always display. In addition, what I love about Lucky Bamboo is the experience of flavor without MSG, as they publicly state, and it was immediately noticed when I first dined there. Somewhere along the way, the food industry lost sight of the fact that flavor does NOT mean it has to be weighed down with sodium, which nowadays, we endure endless amounts of sodium and MSG in our Chinese food. You know what I am talking about: You are eating food somewhere and you taste sodium more than the actual food.  OR, better yet:  You go out to eat, you come home, and you are almost in a paralyzed state with the intense amount of sodium/MSG that you just engulfed...ha ha!  Not so with Lucky Bamboo with my experience, and I truly appreciate that. While salt/sodium is important and part of everyday cooking, it can also get to a point where there is just too much in some recipes out there in restaurants. Other Chinese places make me feel like I just got run over by an 18 wheel Semi-Truck after eating their food because of that very thing, complete with bloating and intense thirst for the rest of the day. With Lucky Bamboo, that is never the case, as I feel both wonderful and full, and can go on with the rest of my day, so those who care about their health-take note!  The reasoning is simple: Lucky Bamboo indeed uses high-quality/fresh ingredients that brings out the freshest flavor, the NATURAL flavor, that you can truly taste, while not using high amounts of salt or MSG, and that is truly appreciated and very important. The service at Lucky Bamboo is outstanding and among the best I have ever experienced in any restaurant in my entire life!  From first being greeted, to the waitstaff providing superb service throughout the meal, this place genuinely cares about their customers, and the evidence is seen by all.  The restaurant is intensely clean and calming, set in a modern yet elegant atmosphere, which I really enjoy. The waitstaff is personable and a true pleasure to correspond with. The owner, Alice, is by far one of the funniest/sweetest owners of any restaurant I have ever been to.  She loves all of her customers, welcomes everyone with care and substance, enjoys conversing, and I truly appreciate every time I get to talk to her.  These are good people, and good people, along with amazing food, are worth supporting. I end this with one word and one word only: Support!! read more

I'm very confused by the 4 and 5 star reviews. I just received my to-go delivery order, and I am so disappointed. I ordered chicken with broccoli, spring rolls, and egg drop soup. Simply put, the chicken with broccoli is tasteless. I've had chicken with broccoli with both brown and white sauce before from other restaurants, and it's been flavorful. The white sauce version of the dish I received from Lucky Bamboo tonight is bland! On the other hand, I do like my egg drop soup, so I'm giving them an extra star for the soup, but please do NOT order chicken with broccoli if you're seeking the usual saucy, savory version of this classic dish. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. I was extremely hungry and I placed an online order 20 minutes before closing. And I was worried that the food would be rushed and not be cooked well.
