Overall good quality food but some dishes are better than others. Food: For an appetizer, the curry puffs were edible but not great. Why? Frozen veggies in the potato curry really detracted from the puffs, and the pastry puffs tasted a bit "pop n fresh" out of a can. We also ordered three entrees of varying quality. The Crying Tiger beef was fantastic. The chicken pad prik khing was very good but nothing special. The crispy duck was decent but the sauce wasn't good. Tried Lemongrass because of the high reviews. This is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We arrived at 5pm and it was dead. Food: We ordered the curry puffs as an appetizer. It was a solid 3. The curry flavor was good, but the veggies were okay, they were frozen veggies mixed into the filing, so the texture was mushy. The crust was good, but a bit on the thicker side. I got the crispy duck basil. There were quite alot of veggies and the portion size was very generous. The duck was good, but the batter made it hard to taste the duck. It was temperature hot that I love! The sauce was not basil sauce. It was a solid 3. My husband got the Khao Kra Pow Chicken and that was delicious! Solid 4. The rice served along side was at the bottom of the rice cooker, you could see the brown burn spots from the bottom of the pan and it was mushy. Now the dish that sings at this place is the Crying Tiger. We got it to go (sorry no photo). The beef was grilled perfectly, the digging sauce is fantastic. The salad green were super fresh. The ginger salad dressing was also fantastic. The sticky rice was sticky and perfect texture with the beef and salad. I would come back here just for the Crying Tiger! We came in about 30 minutes before closing. Before we even got to a table, a woman called out sharply that they were closed and waved us away. We were a bit startled, and she repeated herself sternly. The tone was abrupt and harsh enough that we turned around at the door. No amount of good food makes that kind of interaction worth it. Got their takeout and was initially worried portions won't be big but that was not a concern as the food was filled to the top! Ordered the drunken noodles, shrimp thai fried rice (not pictured), potstickers and a thai iced tea. All the entrees had the option to choose spice levels and the potstickers came with the option to either get it fried or boiled. I opted for the boil cause I felt the fried one will get soggy anyways for takeout. Overall the food was amazing but I did felt as I reached the bottom of the container it was a little more salty to my liking. Thai iced tea was also a little bitter. This place is off the chain. I'm in the area for work and live in an area on the other side of the metroplex that is rich in Asian and south Asian cuisine. The spice levels go from 1-5 and skips to 10. I got 5 and it wasn't as spicy as I like. I like things very spicy. The flavors were incredible. The chicken tasted like it was marinated in lemongrass and chili oil. I was given extra chili oil to go, and I got to the spice levels I wanted without effecting flavors. I'm very picky with Thai food because I have a coconut allergy. This place is moderately priced, I am a big dude and I got two meals out of one to-go dish. I saw the people dining in, their plates were beautiful. I usually try a place numerous times before leaving a review. This was exceptional. The online ordering portal is really easy, even for non techie people and my order was prompt. In fact, it was waiting on me when I got there 5 minutes after placing order. The Chef put lime while cooking the chicken pad thai, tasted limely but without the lime in it, it should taste close to an authentic Pad Thai you eat from the sidewalk food vendor in Bangkok. The chicken satay was excessively salty, and I could barely taste the chicken due to the overwhelming saltiness. The appetizer sampler did not impress me either. Soup and appetizer were really good. I ordered the thai Fried rice with chicken and ordered level 5/5 spicy. The chicken had a weird taste to it, like it was old. So I picked it out. The rice was just ok but it was definitely not spicy at all after I ordered the spiciest they have. Since they're new and since the service was great, I'll give them another shot. I dropped in for a quick lunch the other day. The inside is clean, nicely decorated with plenty of seating that is adequately spaced out.
