    Thai Basil Fried Rice

They may mess up your order and give you the wrong dish, or chicken instead of tofu... (or the wrong order from the menu completely) but if you get the right food your ordered the food is actually really good. I've been here twice now and unfortunately had mess ups both times but the actual food was really good. perfect flavors and authentic taste.

The accidental finds are always the sweetest. Ka Thai is one of those happy coincidences. I was on my way downtown and detoured through uptown to catch a taco at a place recomended by my California friend John D. After parking and walking to my destination Ka Thai caught my eye. A quick spin on the Yelp-O-Meter indicated a causiously strong,Go! So I did. My reward? The best Papaya Salad I've ever had. I mean over the top outta the park, fresh, crunchy,flavorful... We caught them 10 minutes before happy hour ended so, scoring some crunchy vegetable spring rolls and two flask of warm sake cheap was pure bonus. In the past my go to Thai has been Noodle Wave and Asian Mint. However,I'm so impressed with the food, service, prices and atmosphere at Ka Thai,I think they may be my new go to. Especially with 3 locations. Go!

Still my go to thai place! Everything hits and the quality is always good, flavors always on point, and portions always solid. Have loved everything ive tried here!!

Visited Ka Thai for a team dinner and it was amazing from the decor, to the service and food experience. No complaints! They had no trouble managing a group of over 20 people. We ordered tons of apps, my favorite was the wings and spicy edamame. The pad see eew (drunken noodles) was my entree and it was cooked perfectly. For dessert I had the mango sticky rice with a scoop of ice cream and it was so tasty! I would absolutely go back here when I'm in town again.

What a wonderful place for Thai food. I have seen some of the reviews regarding the lack of service, and the food being bland. I will say my experience was absolutely amazing, I have no complaints whatsoever. The service was very attentive, and the food portion sizes could easily serve two people. Beef and onions- came with a side of rice and was seasoned just right. Shrimp Crevice- I could literally just come for this dish alone and be totally satisfied. The whole dish was fresh and the flavor was amazing. Spring rolls- (fried) delicious and was not greasy Chai manhattan- delicious

Solid thai food, nothing blew me away but everything was tasty. Wait staff were nice and plenty of good menu options

Kai Thai for the WIN. The food was amazing, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. I also love that Happy Hour is offered on Saturdays from 3-6 PM and all day Sunday(major bonus). We started with the Heaven Beef (Thai-style beef jerky with Jaew dipping sauce), and it was soooo good I completely forgot to take a photo ‍. That alone tells you something. For mains, I had the Traditional Thai Fried Rice with Chicken (spice level 3). Jasmine rice with egg, onions, tomatoes, and scallions and I must say ....the spices were spicing, the chicken was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We also tried the Pad See Eew with chicken (spice level 2). Wide rice noodles stir-fried with broccoli, carrots, and egg. So fresh, comforting, and very authentic. My only knock: our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu and wasn't very attentive(possibly new). That said, the food more than made up for it. I'll most definitely be back. We had a great experience at Ka Thai. Our service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance inside was nice but casual. We started off with the steamed Thai dumplings which had a great flavor profile and were of a good size. We then got the chicken pad Thai and black pepper beef. Both entrees were excellent but next time I'd get a higher spice level on the pad Thai for added flavor. Overall, I would come back here and try more options on the menu. Note- they validate parking inside.

Such a SOLID thai spot. We had no complaints with anything we ordered. The standouts were the roti canai appetizer and pad thai. The roti canai was SOO flavourful my only suggestion would be MORE ROTI to soak up all the delicious curry!! I am SO picky about pad thai but if you love saucy and sweet, this is it- the spice level helps bring down the sweetness a bit too. Cute interior that is well lit but not abrasive. Service was great and no reservations needed on a weeknight which is great. Would come back for sure

This place was delicious. Came on a Friday night and there was no wait time and food came out quickly. Had the Thai fried rice and it was delicious! Nice and airy space. Will be back.

    Crispy Spring Rolls

Grabbed Thai food at this place before a concert at Fair Park Music Hall and it was fantastic. Started off with the crunchy spring roll appetizers which were great. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef, spice level 2 for my entree. I judge every Thai restaurant by their drunken noodles and these ranked up there very high. Spice level was perfect, veggies and beef were fresh and cooked just right, and portion sizes were perfect. Our server was attentive and took great care of us. If you're in Uptown and have a need for Thai, this is your go to spot.

Crab fried rice & drunken noodles
    Danielle A.

Great flavors and fast service! I stopped into Ka Thai and immediately ran into the best kind of problem: I couldn't decide between the pad kee mao and the crab fried rice... so, I ordered both. No regrets. Both dishes came out together. The drunken noodles were piping hot. The sauce leaned a little sweeter and saucier than I usually prefer, but the flavor was still solid. The noodles were about 2 inches wide, which was different than what I've experienced in the past. The crab fried rice ended up being my favorite of the two. Great texture, great seasoning, and overall really comforting. I just wish it had a bit more lump crab meat mixed in. Still, I liked it enough that I packed up the leftovers for later. Ambiance-wise, Ka Thai nails it. Lots of natural light, friendly staff, and a relaxed, welcoming feel. Parking on the street is pretty limited, but there's a garage connected to the building, which makes things easier. All in all, a tasty, quick, and pleasant meal.

Very good experience with service and food! We went mid day on a Monday, walked right in. There is a general parking lot a short walk away. Food was delicious and good amount for the prices. Desert was good as well we got coconut ice cream and rice, would go back and recommend to check it out! Service was attentive and friendly even with multiple kids in our party.

The first thing I noticed was how beautiful everything is. The décor is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. And yes...those are real trees. That actually matters to me. I love restaurants with a beautiful aesthetic because it makes the whole experience feel special. Good food is wonderful, but good food in a beautiful space? That's even better. The menu is perfect if you're dining with friends because there are so many things to share. We ordered the traditional sampler, and it was such a fun way to try several Guatemalan dishes. Every plate that came out looked fresh, colorful, and made with care. The cheese pupusa was delicious, and the cotija cheese was the perfect finishing touch. Then there were the plantains. I actually stopped our server to ask, "Do y'all make the plantains from scratch?" They do. And it shows. They were fresh, perfectly cooked, and so good that I kept reaching for another one. Honestly, they may have been my favorite thing on the table. The steak was cooked exactly medium, had a great char, and was full of flavor. Portions were generous across the board, which is always a win because leftovers are basically tomorrow's gift to yourself. The spinach artichoke dip surprised me. If you're someone who genuinely loves spinach, you'll probably be very happy because spinach definitely got top billing in that relationship. It tasted incredibly fresh, and it made me realize I apparently prefer my artichokes to be just a little more competitive. The service was warm and welcoming all evening. I ordered a red sangria that never quite found its way to the table, but honestly, by the end of the meal I was so full that my stomach had already voted "maybe next time." One of my favorite parts of the evening was learning more about San Martín's history. Knowing it began in Guatemala and is especially known for its bakery and breakfast immediately put breakfast on my "I need to come back for this" list. By the end of the meal, we were full, happy, and already talking about what we'd order next time. That's usually the sign of a restaurant I'll happily recommend. Beautiful atmosphere. Fresh food. Generous portions. Outstanding plantains. I'd give San Martín a solid 9 out of 10, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

I was instantly reminded why it is such a Dallas GEM! I did not pop in to eat this time, but to find a nice spot to work with a friend on our laptops and yap over a coffee! And while we weren't planning to do much, the experience was still a 10/10! I ended up ordering a White Chocolate latte and it was AMAZING! You can tell they actually put time and effort into their coffee and lattes! Everything is also brewed fresh! Which I love! My friend ordered a artesian hot chocolate and wow! It was probably some of the best hot chocolate I have ever had! It was def made with real cocoa! We did end up splurging on some pastries, because DUH! It's it so hard to ignore the bakery section when it is so stunning and filled with beautiful baked goods! I got a oreo croissant and tortuga concha! I did not eat them (My bf did) but they looked so great! I did try my friends banana custard filled bread and that was great! I would go back for it! Overall, we ended up sitting inside of their beautiful space for hours, just talking and catching up! It was amazing and comfy! We def want to return for some of their dinner and drink specials too! Highly recommend!

I remember the gourmet Eatzi's phenomenon when the chain had a Houston location, which has been closed for almost 20 years. Although I've read Eatzi's may in fact return to Houston, I'll believe it when I see it. What I've always liked about Eatzi's is the high quality and variety of cuisine on offer. For some reason, this time I settled on hummus, but also saw lots of other cool choices, including sushi. Bread is baked in-house and lots of people seem to like the made to order sandwiches and prepared foods. Service here was really good, although I was a bit put off by the long line wrapped around the inside of the store. However, I was able to walk right past it to an easy checkout. Parking here, in my opinion, was easy. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to this Eatzi's location in Dallas, and also hope Eatzi's returns to Houston one of these days.
