Very disappointing experience today. We placed our order and waited about two hours before receiving our food. When it finally arrived, three meals were missing from the order, and the food we did receive was not up to the quality we expected, especially in terms of taste.   It honestly felt like the order was being rushed just to get it out, without anyone taking the time to make sure everything was included or prepared properly. Waiting two hours for an incomplete order is frustrating enough, but the quality of the food made the experience even more disappointing.   I hope this was just an off day, but today's experience was unfortunately not one I would expect from Kao Horm Thai. read more

While I've yet to dine in, take out has been spot on each time. We've tried a variety of options, and haven't been steered wrong yet. The Khao Soi is amazing, rich and decadent and the Laos eggrolls and duck roti are tasty small bites. As an added bonus the location is just around the corner from UTSW medical campus making it an excellent option when you just need to change up your dining options or want to treat overworked staff. read more

Laidback Thai spot in a strip mall. Stopped by for lunch on a Monday with my friend and boyfriend, and there was no wait for an indoor table, as most people seemed to have opted for takeout. I ordered the khao soi while my friend had the spicy duck curry and my boyfriend had the crispy duck soup. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. I had leftover khao soi and it kept well. Perhaps one of the best Thai meal experiences we have had! Visited for late lunch/early dinner while on a trip to Dallas over the July 4th weekend. Located in a strip mall, the restaurant is small but modern/inviting, and maintained impeccably clean. We were a party of 4 - the place was empty at the time. We were promptly greeted and seated - service was equally prompt and friendly. The menu featured a number of unusual dishes alongside the customary ones that one experiences at a typical Thai restaurant. We ordered White Pad Thai with Beef, Green Curry with Beef, Green Curry with Tofu and Vegetables, and Minced Chicken with Fried Egg and Rice. Spice/heat levels varied from 2 to 4 on a 5-point scale, and were entirely appropriate for the respective dish. Food arrived fresh and hot - flavors just exploded in the mouth! Wow! The look, texture, and flavor/taste were superb, quantities too were ample for the price. We were so impressed that we ordered an additional set of the meals to take home with us! Well-done by the restaurant. Seven meals with taxes and generous tip cost $123. Not bad for meals these days - happily paid that amount given the wonderful experience we just had. Now officially my go to spot for crab Rangoon in Dallas! We also got orange chicken and veggie summer rolls. I'm getting both next time again it was so good and fresh. The inside was small but cute. I am so happy I went with my gut and tried the crispy pork belly noodles Ploy, our waitress was fantastic, so kind and checked on us often. I tried my husbands curry and didn't love the texture of the chicken, I'm sure it was well cooked but it was super soft and chewy. Flavor was good though. Next time I'd live to get pad Thai. Ordered the basil fried rice and chicken wings. The rice had absolutely no flavor at all. I ordered it at a spice level three and tasted no heat at all. I added an entire packet of soy sauce, which I never do, and it still had no flavor. The chicken was heavily breaded and not fried crispy as described. Great little Thai restaurant with good service and a comfortable feeling. The walls have murals painted on them. The papaya salad, tom yum soup(would have preferred a few more vegetables or chicken in the soup), and spring rolls were delicious and fresh. I loved the food. I got the Tony Kha soup with chicken , jasmine rice and two spring rolls for lunch. Tom Kay soup will keep you satisfied and glowy, that's why I love eating it. The only suggestion I could make is to the staff, the gentlemen was lovely who served me. He seemed a bit rushed, hurried and a little scattered. This is a small intimate space with about 6-8 tables. There was a table of 9 that was seated across from which may it very load. We could barely hold our own conversation because it got so loud. Unfortunately they were short staffed this evening. That was the misstep. They also only had one wok available, which means dishes were brought out as they were prepared, and not the full order for the table. Someone eventually arrive to assist. Five stars all of the way! I was at a business upstairs getting a facial and was craving Thai food. This little gem is in a very nondescript strip mall with so much potential, located on the cusp of the medical district and Love Field. The owner, Chan, is young and passionate about his food (he is a chef and trains his cooks). He greeted me, made recommendations, and was just so nice. His place is spotless and his food is TDF. Be sure to try the Laos Crispy Rolls and the Kra Paw Kai Khai Daow. Check out this little gem...I am fairly certain Chan is going to be big someday ! read more

I happened accross this place because I work close by. I'm a Tom Kha snob because my best friend as a kid was from a Thai family and I am used to her step-mom's version. The Tom Kha here is EXCELLENT!! I now pick some up regularly! I've also tried their red curry and it is also very good! I tend to stick to my favorites and am a vegetarian so can't comment on the other dishes but go for the soup if nothing else! read more

Small, quant Thai restaurant with simple decor and seating. Menu has a good variety. Husband had Pad Thai with spice level 3. This was very good but felt the spice level was not a true 3. I had the green curry with spice level 1. This was AMAZING! The spice level was perfect-- had some heat but could still taste all the other flavors. Our meals came with their spring roll. But decided I was in the mood to try it so I could know if I could recommend it to a friend. It was good! Not too sweet, good flavor. Good portion size. Chicken was good too. About $15 before tax and tip. My friends got the green curry and pineapple fried rice and liked them too. Not the biggest restaurant but ample seating. This is one of my favorite spots for quick thai food. I love the tom kha soup, and the crab fried rice is very good! In my opinion they do a REALLY great job with that soup every time. I have had their pork dishes before - the pork was a little salty and dry fro my liking, but the flavors were good otherwise. Their sausages used to be fantastic, but they stopped selling those. The pork dumplings are solid with a great sauce, and the egg rolls are light and crispy. Love to finish with a thai tea to go! I've brought friends here and I recommend it often! The inside is always clean, quiet, and I never have any complaints. Great for a work lunch! read more
