Really enjoyed my visit to Asian Mint on Oak Lawn. The general manager, Julie, was friendly and knowledgeable, we ended up chatting for a bit about the restaurant. I picked up a to-go lunch and got the Pad Woonsen, which was flavorful and packed with veggies and meat. My coworker ordered the Sriracha Chicken and couldn't stop raving about it all afternoon. I am writing this review because for 20 yrs we have praised this location and business all over DFW. My daughter ordered food on Mother's Day via Uber Eats to her campus. She has been doing this once or twice a week for two year. On today there was an issue with her order and she was treated horribly by GIGI. My husband drove from North Dallas to address the issue and he too was treated horribly. When he told her that we had been eating at Mint since our daughter's birth 20 yrs ago and now she too orders food to her college campus without incident, her only reply was she has worked there for 18 yrs. While they replace the item which was under 10 dollars, IMO her customer service skills were abysmal. We didn't expect special treatment, just the consideration that maybe their kitchen made a mistake on a busy dining out holiday such as Mother's Day and they would be happy to indemnify her. To say that this incident has sullied our relationship with the restaurant is an understatement. Gigi stated to my husband that she would add this reporting of bad food " to our record". We aren't sure what that even means but we didn't like what it implicated. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt different, according to my husband after being maligned. IMO this easily could have been rectified with solutions focused customer based skills. read more

Love the food, service and ambiance of this location on Forest lane. Everything we have ever had seems fresh and cook to order. They have sushi rolls and a full bar too. Most of the food has a Thai soul to it but with many curry dishes. The prices seems to have creeped up recently but that is also true of many Dallas restaurants. They have expanded location around north Dallas now so there may be a location near you. read more

My review is for the Take Home Meal Kits I would say I'm a well seasoned 'at home meal kit' creator & the one I got from Asian Mint did not disappoint! I love consuming Thai food, but honestly it's one of those foods that is intimidating to make at home. Opening my kit to find the food packaged so clearly, the recipe cards easy to follow and YouTube videos (nikky feeding souls) to assist if I got stuck - my intimidation melted away. I got Pad Thai + chicken and Tom Yum Soup. I was informed each item was fresh and packaged same day (date & time stamped on the pouches) so we needed to make these soon to get the best results - love that. The prep was all taken care of for me, the actual cooking took no time at all and the end result was INCREDIBLE! My husband thought I'd ordered take out from our favorite thai place. The portions were plentiful and the Tom Yum Soup - wow, best soup I've had. The sauces are all made in-house and are so tasty. I love the Thai food in New York but in Dallas, it is not all created equal. Depending on where you go, you may or may not love the Thai. Mint is a favorite of mine! It is always so fresh, and delicious. The service is always friendly, and accommodating as well. I like to come here for dinner often as it's always quick and painless, but this time around I experienced my first lunch at Mint and it was perfect. I had the lunch special "orange" grilled chicken over brown rice. The sauce was just enough flavor and so tasty! Felt a little bit lighter too which I try to go with for lunch. My friends also loved their dishes and are frequent Mint goers so all was well. I also added an espresso for after my meal as they didn't have an DF milk, so I couldn't go for my usual latte. Sad. From the very beginning it was a great experience. The server was amazing, though she didn't tell us her name. The ambience is very cute and refreshing. Everything is green to match the theme of "mint" we got there @5:45pm on a Friday, and to our surprise It was happy hour! I got an ice water with lime(they don't do lemons bc lemons aren't green ) and a Malbec wine which was on happy hour. We started off with soups and I got the miso soup (which was $3 off). The soup was made to perfection with a lot of great flavors. Then I ordered Summer rolls, which was also $3 off. The peanut sauce is very good, not too overwhelming. I then ordered Beef Pad See Ew for my entree, medium spice. It was the perfect combo between flavor and savor. Throughout the entire time the server was very friendly and always available. How did I not know there was a location so close by! I had the wonderful experience of taking a class through Yelp on how to make tom yum soup and pad thai with Nikky, the owner of Asian Mint. This was my first time dining in and it was such a delicious lunch! I ordered the Spicy Tom Yum soup to start. It was so warm and had a delicious lime flavor. Definitely getting this again on a rainy day or when I'm feeling under the weather. We also got the Original Pad Thai and Sriracha Chicken. The Original Pad Thai came with chicken, shrimp, and tofu. The tamarind sauce was very sweet which balanced out nicely when eating the Sriracha Chicken which came with a side of jasmine rice. The vegetables on all three plates were very fresh and cooked perfectly. Everyone here was also super nice and friendly! So excited to come back and try more from their menu! read more

We have gotten dangerous H Pylori bacterial stomach infections from this place on several occasions--and had to take pretty serious antibiotics to get well. I won't touch this place's food under any circumstance. I also watched on a few occasions the food prep guy without gloves, sneezing into the prep containers, wiping his nose and scratching his skin and then again tend to the food with no gloves and no washing hands. The hostess Bailey was sweet as could be and very on top of the seating as well as some suggestions for food. I had the beef red curry and it was the best. The broth was creamy and delicious. The beef was tender. The bamboo shoots were a nice change of pace from noodles. My son had the orange chicken and loved it while my wife had the shrimp fried rice. It tends to feel more laid back and less congested than the others. The food seems to me to be a notch above the other two locations also. A mixture of various Thai, Asian, Chinese and Pacific Rim influences the flavors jump off the plate. Speaking of the plate, they present your dish simply but elegantly. No tossing it on and serving. Very tasteful and appetizing. We were in the mood for seafood after an afternoon at the Dallas Museum of Art. I knew I didn't want the usual suspects of fried, blackened and otherwise overpriced(although good) options in the area. Then it occurred to me, Asian Mint serves exceptional seafood, in a health-conscious fashion. Accompanied by vegetables, just al dente and swimming in a flavorful albeit thin sauce. We stopped in for dinner before the Eagles concert 9/20 and ordered the Laap, Pad Thai and Crispy Spicy Red Snapper. I also had the Asian Mule with lemongrass, mint and ginger. Everything was fresh and delicious. The Laap (presented as "Thai Lettuce Wraps") was the low point, coming up short on fresh mint and cilantro, but still delicious. The Shrimp Pad Thai was perfectly balanced and the Snapper was popping with fresh flavor, not overwhelmed with the sweet / spicy sauce or coated too heavily before flash-fried and accompanied by plenty of broccoli and bold choi, both cooked perfectly - absorbing some of the sauce flavor, but still crisp and holding on to their own flavor profiles. The fresh Snapper flavor dominated. I cannot recommend the Asian Mule highly enough. Very tasty and refreshing cocktail. Service earned an A grade. read more

Been coming here for many, many years! The food is some of the best in town. That said, just ordered food for delivery. For the third time, in a row, they've not included forks or napkins. We currently live in a hotel. When we called to address the situation the person answering the phone blamed it on us. It's a to go order. Can we agree that standard operating procedure should include a way to consume the food? You've already gone through putting it in these nice containers, so I know it's not a save the world issue. I'm very disappointed. My food will be cold by the time I find utensils. Please reconsider your delivery operation. read more
