Looks can be deceiving and I am glad they were! This place is a little gem! I was shopping for plants at the nursery around the corner when I overheard some people talking about their lunch here so I checked them out. It was not much to look at either inside or out. They are in a converted house, and have been open for over 40 years and honestly I am not sure much has changed. But when you got something that works, why NOT stick with it? I ordered Vegetable Egg Rolls and Pad See Ew. Both items pretty much rocked it! If o lived closer this would be a go-to for me for sure!

I'm extremely disappointed I knew I should've went with my gut on this that's why I had not been excited about this meal all day that my boyfriend talked up literally!! I literally just ate grease on top of grease they tie the bag up so tight purposely so you don't see the disaster that awaits you until they reopen it ate home!! I would advise everybody to save their money and to never ever go here! Since when is Pad Thai made with sugar?? Signed you upset me Bangkok Inn Thanks for putting my bf in the doghouse tonight on our vacay!

When in the Lakewood area, this is my spot for Thai Food. The restaurant is always calm, and securing a table is rarely a challenge. The items I have tried range from Spring Rolls, Soups, to Pad Thai dishes. All have been tasty, colorful, albeit could be lighter. On my last visit, I ordered the Pad King Chicken Stir-Fry with ginger, carrot, onion, bell pepper and mushroom. The dish was tasty, and the service was efficient. Glenn Almack

Thai spicy Eggplant

Amazing family owned restaurant and lakewood staple. Handed down from parents to daughter who has mastered thai cooking and customer service. A must visit to taste true Thai food.

BLAND tofu pad thai... with a side of rice? smells bad too. threw it out.

Excellent Thai food. Basil chicken followed by fried bananas and ice cream. Tom Yam soup is great, especially when it's cold outside.

Cashew chicken (although hold the mushrooms if you're not in favor of them) was delicious and eggrolls were exceptional!

A very good meal at a great price. Most people seem to order to go but they have plenty of room to dine there.

So happy about the location - it's in a popular spot…read more Even happier about the drink (I don't like the ice) - the mango coconut smash is a favorite of mine. Trying to make it at home but not sure how to make it foamy like they do. The curry dish with rice and meat was a slam dunk, I loved it. I can see why a coworker at my old job recommended it, it's pretty solid. Vibes are not as tropical and more like fine dining in this location. Keep up the good work

I really want to give the food a 5/5, but if I'm comparing it to a lot of the Thai places I've been…read moreto in Houston, I have to fairly rate them 4/5. There's just been truly so many outstanding experiences I've had in Houston. Regardless, the food was very good and it was authentic, we did get dishes similar to what we got at Street to Kitchen in Houston, which is the most authentic Thai we've had. Food: I forgot to take pictures of two other dishes we ordered, the Thai chicken, wings, and the drunken noodles. But let me start with the complementary sticky rice. I've actually never had a complementary "starter" at a Thai restaurant, so they stood out, and it was a good meal prepper. The dip is an eggplant type of dip so it's not peanut sauce based. It was really good. The best dish was the crab dip with the shrimp chips, the dip was curried and balanced well with the crab. The chicken wings weren't as crispy as we're used to, and there were more on the saucy side, but it was a solid 4/5 dish. The drunken noodles were good and I feel like they had a great mix of veggies, beef, and noodles in the dish, so it wasn't so carb heavy. But we've definitely had better flavor drunken noodles before. Lastly, the mango sticky rice presentation was unlike anything I've seen before, and I loved it. Do I prefer the traditional sliced mango over a bit of rice? Perhaps. But I did enjoy tasting the mango and the condensed milk and a sticky rice together inside the coconut for a change. Service: we went during dinnertime on a Saturday night, and I was so impressed with the level of service we had. Because don't get me wrong, they were busy, but the food came out so fast & we had multiple servers filling up our water and ensuring we're doing okay. We were literally out of there in about an hour, but it wasn't because they were pushing us out, it was truly because everything was so quick. And I loved that strategy they used where we didn't have just one server assigned to us, which is probably why they are thriving here in Dallas. Overall, if you're craving Thai, I would recommend coming here.
