We've gotten takeout from Asian Mint several times (all so yummy), but last night we were lucky to attend a private meal by Chef Nikky and her team. It was incredible - our group was totally blown away by the flavors and the *soul*. Our 5-course meal consisted of: 1. The most delicious flavor burst bite of shrimp, peanuts and veggies in sauce on a giant leaf. 2. Noodle pork app (also in a leaf) - yum! 3. Tom Kha soup of dreams 4. Main entrée - perfectly cooked short ribs in a curry sauce, with gravity defying fried noodles. Presentation and taste both A+. 5. Dessert - sticky rice pudding (pandan gives the bright green color) with perfectly ripe mango. Pictures here don't do it justice. Everything was delicious and even though I was stuffed, I probably would have eaten 3 of everything if I could! It was inspiring hearing Chef Nikky's background and her passion of spreading love through cooking. My heart and belly were happy. Hope to make it to Thailand one day, but in the meantime, Asian Mint will happily suffice. Look forward to trying more dishes at the restaurants. read more

My fourth Asian Mint location! Needed a late healthy lunch after an afternoon play at the Bath House. This is the only Asian mint location I haven't tried so, headed over to the Upper Crust side of the tracks. I assumed that over here the demanding clientele would make sure things are tasty!LoL!!! Looking at the other reviews for a hint of what to expect, I was surprised they have been here over 3 years!. When I stepped into the place, I was immediatly underwhelmed. The other locatioins are very design forward and this one looks to be thrown together. so much for the atmosphere. Dont get me wrong,its ok but... They hermit crabbed the old Cafe Istanbul space. Ok so the space isnt that great but,if the food makes the cut im happy. I ordered the Crispy red snapper with bok choy,house made sweet chili sauce(could have been sweet n sour form chineese take out place) garlic,bell pepper,scallion. The presentation looked astonishing. However,it didnt live up to the billing. Slightly overcooked,the outter layer was unusually chewy. The accompanying white rice was perfect. My dining companion had the Teriyaki grilled chicken. It was again presented fantastically for a basic dish,had good preperation and flavor. The passion berry iced tea was good as was the Gingertiniti. Overall,I don't think I would return to this location. There's a noticeable lack of consistency among the restaurants, but one thing they all seem to share is a reliance on the same cooking method for their soups and dishes that use pre-cooked meats. Unfortunately, this often results in dry and flavorless protein. They need to call it Mint Express. The flavors are still good but many dishes aren't available or are not made the same. We paid $18 for steak terriyaki at lunch and it came with no more than 3oz of meat and a handful of brocolli and carrots. Fried rice as a side is not an option so the waitress brought an entree portion. The water tasted funky. The waitress handed me to the electronic pay machine and asked "tip for me?" It was just not the same experience and I won't be back to this location. read more

This is my first time at this location even though it is so close to my house. We really enjoyed their other location in Richardson/Garland so I I was looking forward to lunch at Inwood Village. I ordered a vegetable stirfry with beef which was very tasty and was a good size portion wise. It also came with a bowl of white rice. From the dish to be authentic and flavorful. The Thai tea was a very good also with a good but not excessive amount of ice. Service was very friendly and prompt. The location is great inconvenient the restaurant itself is not that big but has a lot of natural light. There were a good mix of customers in the atmosphere was pretty vibrant. Prices were a little high. However I definitely plan on coming back to this location again. read more

So, there I was, sitting at my desk. My partner and I had just returned from taking our dog for a walk. I remember looking at a client's web page design, wondering how I could improve it... *** doorbell *** I get up, walk to the door, and open it. I look down, expecting perhaps an Amazon box or something similar. Instead, I see a small package, wrapped in plastic. I look around, making sure this isn't some kind of ruse by a neighborhood kid or some misguided ninja waiting in the shadows. I bring it inside and look at the paper taped to the outside. Need a bit more light. Turn on a light. Back to the paper. It reads, among other things, "1 pad kee mow" for a Calla A. with a phone number below. I call the number. Uber eats answers, demanding an 8 digit code. I don't have one. I abandon the effort, knowing I at least tried, and turn my attention to the contents. Pad Kee Mow. So, some kind of noodle dish. "Chicken, medium". I've recently gone mostly vegetarian, but I reserve the right to make exceptions. I open the box, noticing the Mint Fresh Asian Fusion sticker on top. My partner says, "Oh, yeah. I like that place." I agree. Looking at the mound of garnished noodles and chicken, I inhale. Smells delicious. I grab some chopsticks from the drawer ('cause I'm like that), and give it taste, hoping that "medium" is, in fact, medium. It does not disappoint. I feel for the intended recipient of the dish. I stop short of feeling guilty, though. It's that good. As I finish my bowl, I find myself wishing good things for the unintentional gift-giver, my secret (to both of us) Santa. We had driven past this place a bunch of times and finally decided to give it a try. My review might be biased because I'm a big fan of authentic Thai food whereas Asian Mint is very clearly more of a fusion restaurant. When we arrived, we were told that there was a 5-10 minute wait, but it ended up being closer to 20 even though it looked like there were plenty of tables open. We ended up giving up and sitting at the bar, which was fine. The inside of the restaurant is bright and they have a nice full bar with flat screen TVs. We ordered the spicy tuna crisps for our appetizer and the chicken pad thai and chicken red curry for our entrees. The tuna crisps were tasty, but were completely doused in sauce. My husband liked his pad thai, but I thought it was too sweet. My curry was pretty delicious, but the rice-to-curry ratio was completely off (tiny scoop of rice vs entire bowl of curry). I basically had to drink my curry like soup because I ran out of rice really early on in the meal. Overall, the food was decent, but I'm personally not a big fan of their flavors. read more

We opted to eat at the counter to avoid the wait, however the service was almost nonexistent so I would not recommend. We tried the spicy tuna crisp which was a great starter. We received our appetizer even before our beverages. I ordered the house salad with flank steak. My salad had little to no dressing and my steak was either chewy or rock hard. We also ordered the basil chicken which was served with a side of white rice. The serving size could easily feed two, however it lacked any flavor and was served with almost no sauce. All the locations are amazing. The menu and quality is the same (amazing) no matter which one you go to. The pad Thai is good, I really like the green curry too, and you can add extra veggies or pineapple or whatever you like. Definitely get a Thai tea too. We have gone to another Asian Mint location for a Yelp Elite event and had a great experience so we decided to go to the Lovers Ln location for lunch. We had vegetable egg rolls to start, which were good. They didn't stand out to me but egg rolls are egg rolls. For entrees we had pineapple cashew fried rice and tom yum soup. The fried rice was absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back to order this again. The soup was pretty good. The broth was very flavorful but the noodles were pretty bland because they didn't absorb any of the broth flavor. Portions are huge; we were totally stuffed and our servers were very friendly. I would definitely stop by again to try some other items on the menu! read more

I think the food here leans on the Asian-fusion-y type of food vs hardcore authentic Asian cuisine, so levelset your expectations regarding what you're looking to get. Tried their margarita- tasty, refreshing. The bartender was handling about a million things, I don't know how she did it. This was my first time at Asian Mint. Very clean and fresh feeling as soon as you walk in. It was a very nice day today so my husband and I sat on the patio. Which was very enjoyable! We shared the Crab Fried Rice under the Chef's Special. The reason why I gave four stars is because the fried rice was extremely good but paired with the fried crab, a little fishy.
