Overall Rating: 2 or 2.5 (0 = good, X = bad) 1. Atmosphere: X - its fair enough in terms of cleanliness but it's pretty vacant and only had one table so most times you'll be taking out 2. Service: O - Courteous staff, they did a good job 3. Food/Products: O - The food was good, the problem comes primarily in the sizing in it in terms of its price. The portion is much smaller compared to its hefty price tag so it's not favorable. 4. Pricing: X - Around 15-16, for poke it's around the market price of most poke but the amount of food given is not equal to the price. 5. Overall Experience: Ehh - Most of the experience comes in going in, ordering your food, then bringing to home to eat. The actual experience of making the food is seamless but the problem comes after in which the environment is lacking so you often just go elsewhere to eat and you realize there ain't much to actually eat. Highlights/Recommendations: N/A

I would always go here during my college days, and recently I've been back more often again and I'm so glad I decided to revisit this place!! It's just as amazing as I remember!! The fish and sides and toppings are all so fresh. All of the sauces taste so amazing. I really like their menu, too. It has enough variety without being overwhelming and the way to order is simple and easy. The staff is always super friendly when I go. Most of the times I visit here by myself, and it's a nice, relaxing place to take a break and enjoy some really good poke. I'd say this is by far one of the best poke places in DFW and it'll always be one of my favorites.

FOOD Build your own poke bowl! My go-to is: - Regular Bowl with White Rice - Seaweed Salad and Spicy Crab Meat - Spicy Tuna and 2x Salmon - Green Onion - Onion - Cucumber - Pineapple - Mixed with Poke Sauce - Spicy Mayo and Eel Sauce - Garlic Crumbs - Furikake - Fried Onion Flakes I go here very very often when I crave poke just because they do give a good portion size and don't add too much rice to fill up the bowl. I will say that sometimes they do go a little overkill with the amount of sauce and the last bites are more wet, but overall they do a pretty good job of mixing everything. All the ingredients are fresh! VIBES A pretty casual place to eat. Very spacious and decent amount of seating. Pretty quiet all the times that I have gone which makes it nice to study or just casually talk amongst friends. Very popular with UTD students nearby. SERVICE Service is always very fast and very nice. They also offer 10% off for student discount if you show your student ID. Overall pleased!

Always a great option near the house. Fast and friendly service. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. I ordered two burritos and both very tasty.

Was loving poke in Hawaii two weeks ago and was wanting some. It's been a hard find in Texas. Tried Hoki Poki and was very pleased. It's a build your own which is cool for a mix. I kinda guessed at what to do and did okay. The tuna and salmon were fresh. The shrimp was fine but I would have preferred it chopped. Seaweed salad and edamame for sides.

Only got 5 pieces of tuna.

I tried this place out because my go to poke place was closed on a Saturday. Poke was okay. The portion size was fairly small for the price you pay. I only got 5 pieces of tuna. There are way better poke places in the area that give more food at the same price or less.

Medium bowl 2 carbs, 4 proteins. Matcha tea.

Love this place!! It's very clean and everything is fresh. The servings/portions are decent. The sauces are really good and compliment the food. Spicy Tuna is spicy. I love the Matcha Latte. Great job Hoki Poki!! Wish there was a place like this closer to my house.

Haven't been this place years... Portion, especially protein shrinked drastically, i asked to put extra shrimp, even tho it was tiny. And they charge extra for extra protein.... Overall i like poke bowl, you will choose a lot of ingredients... However price doesn't match what you get... Because before it was they put pretty amount of protein (i mean, salmon, shrimp) but right now price go up but portion has gotten smaller...

Second time eating at Hoki Poki and definitely won't be my last! I'm so glad there's a poke place near my house (15-20 min) and my university as well (3 min). They have have the option of "build your own" bowl or burrito so I built my own mini sized poke bowl. What I ordered: 1. Mini poke bowl with white rice 2. Seaweed salad and crab meat 3. Chicken 4. Cucumber and fresh jalapeno 5. Eel sauce/mayo sauce mixed 6. Fried onion flakes Although the options were limited, the options they had were still great and delicious. My bowl was filling for the size and it was a decent price compared to other poke places. The service is kind and quick. I ordered through phone and and they already had it ready for me once I arrived. The place is clean and friendly. Definitely check this place out!

Came for lunch with two other friends. It was a quick service and the workers were friendly. I love how you can customize your poke bowl. They were a bit restricted on what they had but what they could provide was amazing. Overall, great place for a quick sushi craving.

Picture of the prices is totally out of date. $17.99 for a large bowl is pretty steep these days.

Located in Richardson on the NE corner of E Arapaho and N Plano Rd, this location of Nora Asian Fresh is nestled between Best Donuts and a Nails & Spa. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, this franchise has 15 locations in Arizona and 3 in Texas (Richardson, Plano, Austin). I'm not sure how long this location has been opened, but the very small shoppe corner that they're in appears to dated and doesn't scream "come have dine here". But as the old adage goes, looks can be deceiving. The dining area is simple yet inviting with the unique wood like vertical panels filling the entire far wall. There are no booths, just table and chair throughout. You place your order at the counter using the large digital menu on the wall. After placing your order you can help yourself to their drink station then pick your table. They will soon bring your meals to your table. As noted in their name, Nora Asian Fresh prides themselves on making everything fresh daily. I saw the young lady who was taking orders in the back making dumplings when I went to ask for take out containers. Their menu provides a nice mix of "fusion" dishes which really just means they have a little bit of everything. Their appetizer menu includes such items as eggrolls, edamame, dumplings, jalapeno poppers and squid salad just to name some. Their Bowl meals which come with steamed rice include orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef, pork katsu with curry, teriyaki salmon as well as poke or unagi bowls. On the Ramen & Asian list are miso, tonkotsu or seafood ramen, fried rice, chow mein chicken, chicken biryani, pad thai and Malaysian noodle. Finally there's a long list about 30 different sushi rolls. Jerry and J ordered the Orange Chicken Bowl. Katie tried the chicken fried rice. Jeanne got the Pad Thai and I tried the Malaysian Noodle (of course). We also tried their chicken egg rolls and chicken dumplings. Egg rolls and dumplings: Both were a tad overcooked and their skins were just a little too dry and crunchy. They should've been taken out of the fryer about 30 seconds earlier. The fillings were delicious and they were served with dipping sauces. Orange Chicken Bowl: Presentation was nice with fresh boiled broccoli in a large bowl. Both said it was good. J said "It was pretty good best I've had in a while. It wasn't too sweet and had good flavor." I tried some and I agreed. It was overly battered like some places like to make it and the taste on it was delicious. Not overly sweet and was even a little tart. Yom Yom Yom. It was a large portion, but J finished the entire bowl. Jerry and the rest of us had enough for another meal. Chicken fried rice: I didn't get to taste, but it looked good. Katie like everything about it except the way the chicken was cooked. Note that Katie is very particular about her the way she wants her chicken cooked. Also a large portion. Pad Thai: Noodles, shredded carrots, green onions tossed in a wok and garnished with fresh bean sprouts and crushed peanuts, Jeanne enjoyed it but was surprised they didn't ask how spicy she wanted it. Malaysian Noodles: I guessed from the photos in the menu that this was Char Kway Teow and I was right. It is a popular Malaysian stir-fried noodle dish using flat rice noodles. Their cook did an excellent job. It had a nice smoky with a savory sweet taste. It is tossed in a wok with eggs, bean sprouts, chives and in my case, shrimp. It was outstanding! Yom Yom Yom Yom. There are many other "Malaysian" dishes, but if you have to choose only one to put on your menu, this would be a good choice and they do it quite well. Personally I could eat there every week especially since they have so many other dishes to sample. But unfortunately I live 639 miles away. Thanks for a nice lunch Nora!

I'd like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I've ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I'm used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn't what I expected and wasn't to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.

We took advantage of their happy hour specials, which were a great deal and gave us a chance to try a few different rolls. The sushi itself was really tasty and beautifully presented. You can tell they put thought into how everything looks when it comes out -- always a plus when the food is as pretty as it is good! The only downside was that at one point we waited over 30 minutes for part of our order, which felt a bit long. That said, our server was very friendly and attentive, and parking was super easy, which made the overall experience stress-free. Despite the wait, we had a positive experience overall and would definitely consider coming back for another weekday happy hour!
