It's an unassuming location but once you step through the doors you're met with ambient lighting, wooden table tops and benches. We arrived around 11 and were greeted immediately; sat within 5 mins. I stopped by another Korean spot first, but they told me a solo diner had to wait. After 10 minutes, I said "forget it" and wandered into this place instead. When I walked in, the place was empty. I stood at the "Please wait to be seated" sign for way longer than necessary--especially since there were no other customers. I finally peeked in and saw two employees busy counting receipts and money at the register. (Bad Impression #1). After being seated, I was actually enjoying the music until I felt something sticky on my forearm. It was a stray bean sprout left on the table (Bad Impression #2). To make matters worse, the tables are incredibly low. Even at my height, I had to hunch over the entire time. I eventually gave up on table manners and just held the rice bowl up to my face to eat comfortably. Regarding the food: it was a bit salty. The kimchi fried rice was average, but the kimchi stew really missed the mark. That was the moment I realized this is a fusion spot, not authentic Korean. It wasn't horrible, but it's definitely different from the real thing. BUT, can we talk about the massive portions? (Good Impression #1). Everything is clearly meant to be shared. The service was actually good. They have a buzzer on the table for service, which I loved. It saves you from having to track down a waiter. (Good Impression #2). After a long day of work, I decided to come here with a friend to celebrate a late birthday. We got in and the place was really slow on a Wednesday night. Nothing wrong with that, because it's been raining all day and people probably wanted to stay in. They were out of a couple of things like the seafood pancake, so we had to pivot. We ordered quite a bit of food for 2 people which tends to happen when you haven't since lunch. The food was solid for the most part! I had to send back a Korean omelette because it had ketchup and things under it. I was fully expecting it to be plain Jane due to the photo on their website, and the server had a push back because of whatever reason. They remade it which was great! The main reason that it's a low rating is because I was packing food an out crawled a couple of roaches from some of the plates of food. No idea if we ate any, but the meal was now officially not sitting well. I'd give the place a solid 3.5 stars. I knew the place was going to be divey but Wowzers. It's definitely a dive bar vibe for a restaurant with k-pop music videos on every TV booming non-stop. There are no windows so it's always dimly lit. The pics on yelp are pretty spot on. I came for dinner and it was definitely filling, but not sure I would call it out of the park Korean food. Although the kimche pancake was huge and pretty great . Careful though, they've got jalapeños hidden in it, but honestly I dig the recipe. The service was meh. I say that kindly. They were nice and delivered what you asked for at the beginning and at the end but you were left with a pitcher of water and left on your own adventure once food was dropped off unless you rang the literal doorbell button haha. Loved! Loved! Loved! First off...the amount of items to choose from is insane! Whatever you order, comes out hot and fresh, that's for sure. Our great waitress was super sweet, but it second one, she acted like she didn't wanna be there, but she didn't ruin a good time, trust me. This is not a quiet place by any means lol, music playing, server bells going off left and right, bright neon lights everywhere, it's definitely a great spot for a Friday or Saturday night get together. We got into Dallas late last night and were thankful that we found this place to serve us some good Korean food. We arrived at 11 PM and were seated right away, party of three. The table was sticky but utensils were clean. Service was decent, had to keep asking for things and the staff seemed very busy. The food is decent, especially for a late night joint. You can't really mess up fries. It is a solid choice for when you just something to munch on. - Popcorn chicken - The flavor is good and the potion is huge. Been here several times and food is always great, never had a complaint. Decently clean with the vibes its giving. Restrooms are fine. My favorite has to be the grilled pork belly and the cheese rice cakes. Huge portions. Low rating specicially for service my husband got last night. It's located in a small strip center and upon entering it is very dark and more of a dive bar atmosphere. Was a different ordering experience. This place is such a vibe! No pretense no frills. Just kpop wood benches and good food. Not to mention friendly prompt service. The menu QR code is at your table. I'm so excited to finally have had the chance to stop by this hidden gem! The spot is only open from 5:30 PM to 4 AM, making it a late-night favorite. My friends & I got the french fries, corn cheese, LA galbi, seafood pancake, chicken wings, bulgogi quesadillas, & green tea shots. Everything was amazing but my favorite appetizer would be the bulgogi quesadillas. Never in my life had I actually felt some sort of concern for the people working at an establishment because I felt like the environment has affected their cognition to provide even a normal service. This place is more of a pocha than a traditional Korean restaurant. There not only are so many logistics that they missed the mark on coupled with the poor service, but the food is also pretty mediocre! I've warned the person that took me here that they should never trust Instagram influencers that try to bring you here by all the colorful backgrounds and empty words, but of course we have become a victim of embellished advertising. We stood in the front around the "please wait to be seated" sign and was ignored multiple times until we were hovering around the paper to sign your name. I understand being ignored for a bit when they're really busy and there are too many tables to ratio the workers, but it was really weird to be addressed when we were going to sign our name under everyone else. In reality, there was nobody else waiting, they just do not cross out the names on the paper. There also weren't that many tables occupied and the servers move quite slowly. I've seen them just chatting behind the bar so it couldn't have been a bustling shift like the ones I've worked at before where you can't even catch your breath. Regardless, I'm typically patient so I would say the wait wasn't terrible. Just an odd start. First, we tried to order this big special they advertised but was not on the menu when you scan the QR code on the table. We had everything else in the "cart" but called using the bell they have that calls the server. They let us know that the special was only on certain days which was not specified on the actual advertisement they had... So why not inform on the one place you have that shown?! But let them know we would just put the order through the app until they told us that everything ordered on the app is made as a to-go order.... So why put that on the dine-in tables......? Just really logistically odd! Well, we continue on. I did not want to question much since this is clearly a divey place that a lot of pochas are like, with vulgarities and curse words written on the walls around too. I always get a hameul pajeon (seafood pancake) to start. I actually really enjoyed that they cut it well into bite-sized pieces instead of how I normally get them. It made sharing very easy! However, it was like there was no seafood at all... only spring onions... Really disappointing! Corn cheese was serviceable but I've also had better. We got the cheesy chicken (they really called it super spicy chicken but was more like cheesy buldak) was that also okay, just... okay. The cocktails we had were also mediocre, just a sugar bomb with low soju content. But what really blew my mind was the food delivery. We are sat at a large picnic table-like arrangement so we had a lot of space for two people. There is AMPLE space around us.... but when we were delivered our buldak.... the server tried to balance at most half of it on the table and at least half hovering over the air off the table.... If I genuinely let him try to balance that, it would've fallen all over the floor, probably burned him and my partner, and wasted all of the food. I had to actually suggest him to just put it on the table... the part of the table with nothing on it... the most stable and empty part of the table... I am actually so surprised that I had to suggest the waiter to do the most common sense option that when he left, my partner and I just stared at each other with pure shock. Also, they have the cheapest plates and utensils I've ever seen. I'm talking napkins that are reminiscent of one-ply toilet paper, take-out chopsticks, and thin paper plates that are the size of a grapefruit. Every time I come to Dallas, I go to a Korean restaurant because the large Korean population around Carrollton means you'll probably get awesome Korean food. Down the street is actually an amazing mom and pop restaurant! But trying some place new has really made me regret trying something new. This is a very lowkey, chill vibe spot that is open extremely late for all the night owls. I'll get straight to the point: the wings come out HOT, and I absolutely love it! They are cooked to a perfect level of crisp and the actual chicken is seasoned well, not just the sauce. The Korean spicy sauce takes a few bites to get used to; I think it's because I was expecting a hint of sweetness that didn't exist. After the second wing, I came to appreciate the flavor. I have been going to the Carrolton location for over 5yrs, overly enjoyed my experience there. Since it closed I tried the second location last night hoping to get some of the vibes and good food I've grown used to. This not a place I would recommend to ANYONE. We started off waiting at the door 20minutes passed so we had to stop one of the 8 workers that walked past up and he let us know they were bussing the section. 25minutes passed before seating us. When the waiter came in our section he ignored our side for another 20minutes before again we had to stop him. All orders we had to call our waiter to interact with us. We ordered the food came fast but half of it was over cooked and chewy. Our waiter must have got off work because he never came back so we stopped a female waiter who was helping him serve the table across from us who got full on service with no issue. This table having full attention was the only way we were able to stop a server to help us. She proceeded to rush and handle us like we weren't willing to pay for our food immediately and was argumentative. This experience was horrible and we spent $150 worth of drinks and food. Left a tip to not be rude but they didn't earn shit!!!
