Though the prices here are a bit steep ($40 for two burgers and 2 sides), the burgers really are that good, and the portions are pretty big. We could've easily shared just one side. Loved the onion strings. Going against popular opinion, the truffle fries not so much. I look forward to trying some of the other options from that part of the menu. What a great collection of guys passionate about their food. You definitely get what you pay for. I enjoyed their burger Blend cooked medium on a brioche bun with jalapeño cheese, lettuce, onion, and their special sauce. The burger was cooked perfectly and well worth the wait as you watch everything being prepared in their open kitchen area. I was warmly greeted by the staff as I entered, they handled my order and made sure that my burger was cooked the way I expected upon delivery. I even got a thank you from the staff as I left. Wow! I was very excited to try this place. In an area where there is a billion fast food and chain restaurants, BurgerBarr was a breathe of fresh air. This hidden gem is a standout and I loved my experience there. I think the best part is the customizability one can have in creating a burger that he/she wants. With different options for buns, patties, sauces, and toppings, I give this place major kudos for the concept. Food: Burger - I ordered a burger with a chuck patty, aged cheddar, and sauce/toppings sandwiched in a brioche bun. The brioche bun was fluffy and there wasn't too much bread (Good bun to meat ratio). It had a nice buttery and eggy taste but it never felt too much or too rich. They grill the insides of the buns as well which gives a nice crispy and adds to the texture of the burger. On to the patty.... that thing is HUGE! I swear it's like 1" thick which is great because they don't skip on the meat and you get your money's worth. Being a chuck patty, it had a high fatty content, which adds to the flavor and keeps the patty moist. It still had the high meat ratio where you can still have that nice beefy taste. They cooked it perfectly medium, and I swear when I bit into the burger, juices were bursting out of the patty and the meat was sooo moist and tender. A bite from heaven is a good analogy. The cheese and sauces were solid. I ordered the horseradish aoili which I thought paired really well with the beefy burger. Truffle Fries - Hand-cut fries with the truffle zest and parmesan finish. This was really really good and pairs well with the garlic aoili that the restaurant recommended. The fries were really crispy, but not oily. The fries had a small but noticable truffle taste which is good because sometimes places can get out of hand with making things taste too truffly. The tartness of the grated parm was a good balance to offset the truffle taste. Cost: Very reasonable and I'd say affordable for what I consider a gourmet burger. For $9 you can get a standard chuck burger w/ lettuce, tomato and secret sauce which is really good. Of course, the cost will rise the more you customize your burger, but still very affordable for the high quality. I only tried a small part of the menu but I was very impressed. I am willing to say this is on par if not better than the some of the top burger joints in Philadelphia. I will definitely be back to try the other burger selections. read more

Brisket mixed burger on a toasted brioche bun with ur choice of different cheeses , shredded crispy lettuce and ripe tomatoes .. I added carmalized onions and avocado .. U know it's a good burger when u have to do the hunch over from all the juices running down .. Don't forget to treat yourself to their house cut hot crispy fries and the cheese curds .. $19 for just a burger and fries---need I say more? Well, first, you walk in and there's no menu to be seen. You're forced to open a pamphlet by the register. This is INCREDIBLY time consuming when you're letting people pick their bun, meat, cheese, and sauce, etc. The line wait is a good 5-10 mins even when just one person is in front of you. Worse, it's made longer by people having to rethink what to get when they're told you're out of this specific thing (they were out of the blended meat when we arrived at lunch). It would be nice if they'd have some premade burger ideas for people, or at the very least a visible menu. The biggest downside is the upcharges. $1 for every sauce? $1 for every cheese? $1 for every topping (except lettuce and tomatoes)? I'm sorry, but that's a blatant ripoff. Especially if you're vegan and can't even get the "special sauce" or default cheese. Also, why aren't there just raw onions?? Who's going to pay $1 for caramelized onions? I paid for avocado and got maybe 3-4 very thin slivers, which wasn't worth it. Also, the sauces you ask for on your burger are not actually cooked onto the burger or put on the bun. They just arrive in a side cup like with the fries. If I'd known I wasn't getting an actual teriyaki burger, I wouldn't have bothered paying an extra $1. (Side note: I tried the impossible burger, and I don't know if it was overcooked, but it definitely didn't bleed, per the menu description, and was hella dry and nowhere near as greasy fatty as Beyond Meat burgers.) I will say the $5 fry portion is decent, and they arrived smoking hot. Everything was definitely made to order and delivered promptly, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. But I can't justify these prices when the product and serving sizes aren't top notch. And it's a shame that they're pretty much the only place in the area to offer a vegan burger, but not have any vegan cheeses or varied sauce options. Seems like a missed opportunity. read more

So let me start off by saying, my wife had been in the hospital all day with surgery so when she finally got settled in her room and I was able to go out and get some food, so many of the nurses recommended the Burger Barr as the place to go. I decided to go, and when I arrived there I didn't realize that it was five minutes before closing, when I turned around to walk out the guy behind the counter insisted that I stay and he would make me a burger, I asked for his recommendation and he made me the Kobe burger and truffle fries and let me tell you after such a long day it was the most amazing burger I've ever had, even though I was there last minute before closing up shop you could really tell he put the time and effort into making sure I still had the best burger off of his grill. I walked in Burger Barr with great expectations after hearing about their recently bestowed title of "Best Burger" in New Jersey. was warmly greeted by Burger Barr associates. As I looked at the menu I was relieved to find out that It was very straight-forward, easy to read and not too busy. I quickly ordered a Wagyu burger cooked medium on grilled brioche, with Cherrywood smoked bacon and aged Vermont Cheddar cheese. (It came with lettuce. tomato, and special sauce. My burger was seared, cooked and served quickly & efficiently. From my first bite until the last I was in culinary ecstasy. The way my perfectly cooked and seasoned burger would ever so lightly bleed it's juices into the next delicious awaiting bite made me not want to put my burger down for fear of loosing any juices that deserved to be in my mouth instead of on the plate. I only wish I would have gotten a side dish. But, don't worry, I will be back many times. Now I know why the Burger Barr is voted New Jersey's "Best Burger" I'll be back, for sure. read more

There are lots of choices to customize your burger and fries , But...expect to pay $40. My meal w 2 burgers, 1 order of fries and 2 fountain sodas came to a little over $37.00. There are only about 4 tables to sit inside and a long wall of stools facing the wall about a foot wide to eat. For me it was a nice first time experience for a gourmet burger. read more

We went today for lunch with a party of 6. We ordered all of the sides to split and we each got a different burger. My 9 year old nephew exclaimed, 'This burger is so good, I can't even explain it.' That is a true statement. The burgers were cooked perfectly. The concept is great. You choose your roll, cheese, meat option, toppings, and sauce. The meat options included various types of beef, chicken, and a veggie burger called 'The Impossible'. The chicken was so tender and flavorful and even though veggie burgers aren't my thing, I still found it delicious. One of the highlights were the truffle fries with garlic aioli. Seriously dreaming about them as I write this. Another interesting twist was the soda fountain. It was a soda brand I hadn't heard of and I never drank so much cream soda in my life. Do you love burgers? If you answered "YES" then you must try BurgerBarr. I went here to try the Impossible Burger (Veggie Burger) this Burger bleeds and tastes like a beef burger. I had with their golden wheat yogurt bun, smoked Gouda, LTO and secret sauce. This burger was amazing. I had been back a second time and tried the Impossible Burger again with different toppings and it was delicious. The honey lime mustard and chipotle ketchup are amazing. If you like spicy tried the chipotle ketchup with its hints of a Smokey flavor. I would recommend calling a head of time if you want to try the impossible burger because they go quick. I also love that this place will let you know that they are not serving a particular topping because it isn't ripe yet or it isn't fresh. I find it comforting that a place has standards for quality and freshness. read more

My husband and I have been here two times. On both occasions, the burgers we had were amazing. This last visit my husband had the blend with apple wood bacon and mozzarella and I had the Kobe with Gorgonzola. We split an order of fries and had their special ketchup with it, which was really tasty with a smokey flavor. I forget the type of soda they have but there are a bunch of flavors (including black cherry!!) which are tasty. The food is fantastic, but the customer service is extraordinary. They go out of their way to make sure you get what you want and are happy with the meal. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a friendly smile and "Hey, how are you?!" They answer any question you have. My husband is SUPER PICKY and they clearly understood and gave him exactly what he wanted. The cook even came out to make sure we liked our burgers. There are not a lot of tables, but lots of chairs along the wall. It is pricey, but this is not a fast food restaurant. They are a participant in the tax rewards program, so that is cool too. read more

It was very pink inside and unfortunately didn't have many redeeming qualities even with a brioche bun and extras added. The plain fries were decent but the truffle fries were too overpowering. Holy crap, easily one of the best cheeseburgers I have had in my entire life! I was in the area for work recently and my colleagues and I decided to pop into this little burger shop and give it a try. Given it's small strip mall location, we went in with tempered expectations but boy were we wrong! I ordered the wagyu beef burger with American cheese on a pretzel roll, along with some fries and garlic aioli dipping sauce. Easily one of the best 5 cheeseburgers I've ever had. Two kinds of cheese, lettuce a​nd tomato, & a ho​use sauce completed the burger. There were numerous bread choices, I chose Texas toast, grill toasted with the cheese. For a side I decided to try the onion strings that, although well prepared were not to my liking, but the horseradish sauce that came with them was f​an​tastic!!. I chose to take out my meal, and everything was perfectly boxed, and paper shopping bagged so that when I got home, my meal was hot and ready to eat, not crushed to smushed. I am looking forward to bring my friends back. The black and white shake I had was excellent and was served as soon as it was ready.. The order took about10 minutes to prepare.
