    Cheesesteak with Fried Onions
    Jon H.

I was so excited to hear Gouldsburgers was opening up in Medford on Main Street especially with all the breweries nearby. I've never tried the one in Haddonfield. I've heard great things, and the cheesesteak didn't disappoint. My fiancé and I decided to split a cheesesteak tonight for dinner. I ordered when I left my house and was told 15 minutes. When I arrived for pick-up my order was getting packaged - which ended up being right around 15 minutes. It's very small inside but there is some seating. There were lots and lots of tickets for orders waiting to be filled and it seemed like the staff was organized and had everything under control. The cheesesteak was heavy - shaved prime beef served on an everything roll. The beef was very good quality and almost melted with each bite. I loved how the cheese was melted throughout the steak. This cheesesteak was so dense and loaded with steak it could make a meal for two. This surely was deserving of a 5 star review. Main Street in Medford could always use good food establishments and Gouldsbergers delivered. It'll be hard to come back here and order anything but the cheesesteak but in time I'll ensure to try their entire menu.

Gouldsburgers on Main Street, Medford, is a small corner shop with 3-4 tables and a significant takeout trade. The kitchen bustles with several line cooks working a large steel grill and a cashier handling orders and register. They are loud and proud of their work product as they banter with each other between shouts that an order has been completed. Very cool. Actually, it was very cold in the house because the heating system was on the fritz. We wanted to eat there after the drive from Bucks, so we remained bundled up at our table in the corner. It was still worthwhile. Gouldsburgers uses their own unique torpedo rolls for their steak sandwiches. The body is fresh, soft and absorbent to hold the juices from the beef, onions and mushrooms; while the exterior is covered with "everything" bagel topping to make for a more interesting chew. They are stuffed to the gills with whatever you asked for and packed in recyclable clamshell boxes rather than wrapping paper. Like the best steak shops, the sandwiches are a handful of drippy, falling out contents and multiple napkin dabs and wipes. Son's Chicken Steak w Blue Cheese was amazing, especially if blue cheese is your jam. He devoured it, but my small bite felt too overwhelmingly blue. The Prime Steak, however, was a perfect blend of meat, cheddar, onions, shrooms and bread, that held together to the end and satisfied the savage beast. Finally, the Push Cart Hot Dog from The Brooklyn Beef Company was all cow and spices, about 8" long and covered in a homemade tomato onion sauce. This dog barked with each bite through the stretched skin. An excellent version of the eternal frankfurter. But for the heating, this would have been a 5 Star moment. My hands were too cold to say we were totally satisfied.

We had a great experience here! They were pretty busy, so there was a bit of a wait for our food to come out, but it was so worth it! The cheeseburger was amazing and the fries were fresh and crispy. We look forward to eating here again!

If you still are going to a pizza place for your cheesesteaks you don't know what you're missing! Still my favorite, and the best cheesesteak in the area. Even better than Philly! Yep I said it. The super fresh ingredients, cook to order, awesome amount of cheese and beef well worth the extra couple dollars for the sandwich. Great roll, soft and delicious. Hand cut fries, and hand dipped onion rings. Great local brand of soda, boylan's. A few tables inside, a few tables outside on those nice days in the heart of Medford.

Nice spot right on main street Medford. Everything seeded roll with prime beef, grilled onions, and cooper sharp cheese. Nice to see them cooking on the grill while you wait. Friendly staff who ask you how everything is. Very cool hole in the wall vibe even though it's a successful franchise.

Yummy beef steak, onion rings and waffle fries! Gouldburgers makes the hard decisions for you. Simple menu with easy choices. I will return!

Tasty! Forager burgers were awesome and truffle fries were perfectly crisp. Lot of fries for $6! Sadly, no Coke or Pepsi - only "cola". Friendly service. FREEZING COLD!!!!

Location is in a strip mall with a few other eateries and stores . It was alot going on. As mentioned it was a Saturday and many patrons were coming in to order takeout or picking up orders. It was their 5th anniversary of the business opening. There was a DJ and a podcaster, videographer and cameraman onsite doing a food review. There was also a toy drive and if you brought a toy you got to spin a wheel to win a prize. The establishment is small so with the DJ and podcaster/ entourage and the toy drive there was not much seating available. The wait was extremely long. I had to ask an employee to check my order status twice each time she never came back with update. We were there for about an hour. I saw an order come up waited about 15 min then asked them to check if that was my order and it was. The food was not hot, they didn't give me the signature sauce that came with my order. The strawberry lemonade was delicious, the wings were decent, the fish sandwich and fish platter both looked amazing but was just OK. Didn't care for the sweet potato fries. I truly think it was because the food wasn't hot and the fries had wilted. The set up inside is a bit off with the ordering kiosk right in front of bar stool seating. The kiosk should probably be in the corner on the right side when you first walk in. Away from where folks sit and eat. It's distracting when you're sitting at a stool and the line is long with folks ordering and waiting for take out orders. I would try them again but on a day when there isn't so much going on to get the real experience of the quality of food. I ordered a fish platter, 10 wings, sweet potato fries , strawberry lemonade and a small fountain drink. My friend ordered the fish sandwich, fried shrimp platter and two can sodas.

Every…read moreinteraction I've had whether it's been ordering or DoorDash, very professional and friendly. It was Friday. So I took advantage of the fish platter special. $15 gets you four pieces of fish and fries. I also ordered chicken tenders. 3 was $10 I believe. Doesn't really come in a combo. I added fries it came to $15 and some change. I got an extra sauce for $1. Jerk sauce and a hot honey garlic. I'll start with the good first. Fish was perfect. You ask for it to be fried a little harder.but you can't complain. They perfected that. But they put a sauce on it. Sauce wasn't bad in my opinion but I wasn't asked if I wanted it on there. It has a creamy taste to it like mayo in it so that may throw some people off. But that is all for the good. Chicken tenders. I can't speak on it. I didn't eat any but my lady said it was "real" chicken not the frozen kind. The fries was disrespectful. Cool for the fish platter but I paid an extra $5 for a toddler handful of fries. And they were just so so. Cajun fries only mean it's some old bay seasoning on em. The sauces. I just was expecting something different so I got them, quick tasted and put em in the fridge maybe for something else. But even if I could get over the shortcomings with the food. That Lemonade/ iced tea mixture was horrible. Not just a oh I don't like it but it'll do. No. I almost turned around in my car that I already drove off in because it was so bad. Thats what really cooked me. Better luck next time.

I stopped in last Sunday, Mothers' Day and had a long wait for the Street Corn Dog I ordered. No worries, as it was good to see all the young families (and a few older ones) celebrating together. Clearly the proprietors were loving/stressing about all the customers and running out of provisions like hamburger buns and soft drinks. We all rolled with the punches. My frankfurter was handed to me by a cook in a cool cardboard box. I felt the warmth of the dog and the heft of all the elote, crema and queso. I was glad it was hot because I had an hour drive home before I would get to consume it. Yes. I loved every bite. The hot dog was pleasantly garlicy with a snap from my incisors. The roll held up its end of the bargain with no loss of support for its contents. The corn mix was cheesy while sweet from the kernels. It was a small party in my mouth. 1785 Farmdog works well in Medford, and would be best enjoyed on a day when there was room on their sidewalk picnic tables to sit and take in the full ambiance of this charming town. 4 Hot Diggity Dog Stars

Large display cases showing their wares, mirrored wall that doubles its rather long and narrow dining room, and excellent personable service by Jaime, the house Blythe spirit. I went with a bowl of Cabbage Soup (just like grandma used to make) and an odd curiosity called a Hot Dog Knish (kosher garlicky frankfurter held within a large mashed potato knish). I love hot dogs and kvell for good knishes, so why not? Both were totally filling and satisfying, although one end of the sausage was hard as a rock from too much time in the heat, while the rest was fine. Just cut it off and devoured the rest. The difference between four stars and a perfect score. The lunchtime crowd appeared to be mostly single older dudes doing sit down, and older ladies doing takeaway. I guess that was normal there and based on experience with each other because they didn't interact at all, but seemed to recognize one another. And, then there was Jaime, holding the scene together as she greeted, served, cashiered and smiled at everyone. Very adept.
