Burger runn Cheesesteak I've been told repeatedly to try the cheesesteaks here. On a previous visit I had the burgers and I thought they were very good. Though at my visit today I discovered they use Martin's potato rolls for the burgers. The place was a former deli and is tiny. I was greeted at the door and they took my order. Cheesesteak fried onions provolone. My go to order. The floor is tiled and slippery and I almost fell several times. It was around 4:15 so I thought I beat the dinner rush but apparently everyone orders from here on DoorDash or Uber Eats. At least a dz orders were picked up while I was waiting. I thought the wait was a little long.... But I stood there waiting for my sandwich. Finally a woman from the back come up front to address a problem with a chicken order and asked what I was waiting for.... A cheesesteak I replied and the counter woman that took my order grabbed a bag that was sitting in the pickup pile and handed it to me Alex? She asked yes I replied. I took my sandwich and got into my truck. At a red light I reached over to feel the bag... it was Luke warm. I expected my sandwich to be piping hot. Ggggggrrrrrrr. That is why I ordered at the place but the nearly 30 minute wait with the undetermined amount of time it was on the to go counter will you get the picture. On my arrival at home I opened the sandwich and snapped a photo. At this point it was barely warm. I prepared it with ketchup, hot pepper hoagie spread and my last slices sweet horseradish dill pickles. The first bite was underwhelming. Barely warm and the roll which was supposed to be sarcone's tasted more like amoroso. Onions were diced into fine cubes and I prefer more than the tiny amount provided. Overall taste was good but because it was nearly cold hard to actually evaluate. The overall sandwich had enough meat and a good meat to bread ratio. I found no trace of fat or grizzle. Maybe if circumstances were better I would have been happier but it did not reach the hype. read more

Take out only place with some outdoor seating previously went by another name. I really enjoyed it. They were very busy making everything from scratch and the onion rings and smash burgers were excellent, though I think the burger was better than the rings. read more

It was lunchtime and I was hungry so SmashBros caught my eye on Yelp. It's a tiny hole in the wall with no inside seating and very limited parking. It's more of a to go place. I got the Bro Burger and it was only $6 so I added fries for $5. The burger was fresh and delicious - served with burger sauce, pickles and fried onions on a brioche bun. The fries were tasty and portioned well for the price. My only complaint is that they were cold. That kind of ruins the taste. Cold fries are a no! Service was quick and friendly. The young lady explained the menu to me which helped me to decide. I did feel bad for her because it was pretty cold inside! Might explain the cold fries. I will definitely try SmashBros again but when it's a little warmer outside. read more

We DoorDashed from SmashBros and everything hit the mark. The food came fast, hot, and wrapped up nicely. The fries were golden, crispy, and generously portioned. The cheesesteaks were packed, mine had fried onions and Cooper sharp, no extras needed. The chicken cheesesteak had both big and shredded chunks, also on a seeded roll that wasn't overdone. Great quality, great flavor. Definitely ordering again. read more

There are times in life when you stumble upon something so absurdly delightful, it reminds you that the universe is not without a sense of humor. Smash Bros is one of those places. Let's begin with the Bro Burger. Three ounces of beef; small enough to make you laugh, tasty enough to make you shut up and chew. A fine assembly of pickles, cheese, fried onions, and what I'm told was "burger sauce," though let's not kid ourselves: it was Russian dressing in a Halloween costume. It worked. It all worked. Then came the loaded chicken fries, and good God. French fries buried under spicy ranch, pickles, coleslaw, and bits of fried chicken that had just enough heat to keep things interesting. It was a glorious mess, a culinary dare, a finger-painted masterpiece by a very talented toddler with a cholesterol problem. I ate every last bite and questioned none of my choices. Now, it's not a perfect five-star affair. Why? Because while the flavor is loud and proud, the portions whisper. The price nudges you and says, "Hey, that was cute. Now open your wallet again." And maybe you do. Because maybe, just maybe, taste matters more than volume. I've got my eye on the cheesesteak next time. Word on the street is, it's something worth knowing. So here's to messy food, bold choices, and just enough restraint to leave you wanting more. read more

yeah never ordering here again. when it first opened, it was incredible. i had their mac and cheese burger with real mac and cheese; before they switched over to the gross fried bites. every time after that, it was either the best or worst burger to eat. i ordered a meal box deal through door dash but added bacon and extra sauce. paid extra for it, but was bot put on. burger was way overly salted too. its a shame, they had real potential. read more

Phenomenal burger. Just like the name, you'd expect a smash burger. I've recently joined the Church of Smash and am now a loyal disciple and fervent believer that these are the best way to cook a burger. I got the Double Bro and got exactly how it's described: cheese, fried onions, pickles, and burger sauce. It does look like you can customize it with a bunch of different options but it's not like other places where you can get any or all toppings for free (although you are paying for them in some way as that one place everyone loves to trash because it's too expensive). Certain toppings will cost anywhere from a quarter to $3 for bacon. While it does seem like they're nickel-and-diming you on the toppings, I do get it! The price without anything extra is $8 which is a pretty good value and when you think about it, adding a couple toppings will still keep it at a reasonable price. The burger had plenty of cheese that complimented it so well and the onions on it didn't overpower it at all but was enough to give it some flavor. If I had one complaint, it would be there could be more of the burger sauce. I wasn't getting it with every bite, but when I did I wish there was more because it took the burger to another level. As for the fries, I wish they were better. The only thing keeping my rating from being a 5 is because of the fries. The burger was such high quality. I enjoyed it but when I got to the fries, they just didn't meet the same standard. It's a shame this place isn't the closest for me since it's a bit out of the way. The only reason I did come here was to spite my wife who sent me a video of someone reviewing the place and I thought it'd be a good place for lunch. She was not happy... It's also a shame this place is very small and takeout only. It'd do very well expanding to a spot that could accommodate people who wanted to eat there. read more

Burgers are delicious and worth the trip. Cheesesteaks are god awful. Cold even though I got there 5 minutes before I was scheduled to pick it up. Roll is too hard and too big for the amount of steak. Way too much Orange American Cheese. Btw, Orange American Cheese is non existent on a south jersey cheesesteak fyi. You can only taste chemical cheese, that is all. read more

I went to one and the chicken cheesesteak tasted like wet dog food. The cheese was so runny it was practically sauce. & it was $16.50. I got violently ill after eating a burger from here. Apparently I am not the only one who has become sick either. they are not storing the meat at proper temps or cleaning their hands properly. I'm surprised they are still operating under these condition, unless you want to be throwing your guts up I do not recommend! Great food! The loaded fries were along with the burgers. Smashbros recently opened a few months ago, and was pretty busy when we went on a weekday. We got a Double Bro Burger, French Fries, and Chicken Tenders (Garlic Parm). The burger severely reminded me of a McDonald's Big Mac; not so much the look as the burger meat is thin, but of the overall taste/sauce. The french fries were okay, and the Chicken Tenders were bad. The breading basically was coming off the tenders, and not crispy at all. Also, when we took the chicken tenders container out of the brown paper bag, we noticed the oil seeping through the bottom of the bag. The 'parking lot' is really, really small/tight, and not really a lot. Since Smashbros is on the corner of a street, a lot of people parked on the street. 1/5. read more

I do want to start with saying this place is fairly new, opened couple months ago. Ive been twice since they opened. The service is great, very friendly staff. The first time I went it was a Friday night and they were pretty slammed. They said food would take 20min and it did take exactly 20min. We happen to check the food before we left and we were missing a burger, the staff apologized and we were able to get our 2nd burger. I thought the burger was good, I really wanted to try the chicken cheesesteak but they happen to be out of that when we went. I got the chicken fries and they were INSANE. I definitely recommend trying them! The place is small, theres enough room for maybe 4 or 5 people to wait inside, we waited outside. They have limited parking spots but you can always grab street parking. I'll be back to try the chicken cheesesteak! read more

It is a simple, small takeout place. My wife and I have been drawn to it 3 times in 10 days recently. Their smash burgers are very tasty!! The edges had a little crunch even when ordered medium rare which we loved. We have yet to try other things and although pricey, they are good. My wife considers them one of the best burgers she's ever had. The fries were better than most too. The Counter folks seem very pleasant. I used the Yelp app to pay and track which was helpful. read more

I had the pleasure of indulging in two exceptional dishes that truly set the bar for flavor and quality. The smash burger was an absolute masterpiece--perfectly cooked with a crisp, caramelized crust and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was packed with juicy, savory goodness that left me craving more. The cheesesteak was equally impressive. The combination of tender, flavorful beef and the rich, creamy copper cheese created a perfect harmony of textures and tastes. Each bite was pure satisfaction, with the cheese melting beautifully into the meat. It's clear that great care went into preparing both dishes, and the attention to detail made for an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for top-tier comfort food done right! Service - 5 stars they made sure you were recognized and updated with food status Ambiance - 5 stars it's your walk in kinda of establishment. Order and enjoy! read more

SmashBros in Runnemede is awesome! The double bro, French fries, fried pickles, chicken tenders, you name it! Never got anything i didn't like and im gonna try the wings & cheesesteak in the future! The chicken tenders are pure white meat and big!! Service is great and the people are very friendly! It's small place for takeout only and I recommend ordering online and they will notify you when your order is ready usually anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes unless they're extremely busy. Prices are very good too!! read more

Just ordered the OG cheesesteak and it was totally off the hook. Plenty great tasting steak perfect amount of fried onions. One of the best I've ever had. read more

The whole experience was bad, but let's start with the most important part: the burger. It was expensive, but awful, dry, flavorless, and had the texture of a rubber hockey puck. The place itself doesn't help either. Parking is practically nonexistent, there's only a tiny amount of space to stand while ordering and waiting, and nowhere to sit at all. I barely had time to look at the menu before I was rushed into ordering and then practically pushed out the door. I asked for a plain burger with cheese, but then was asked if I wanted a "special burger sauce." When I asked what was in it, the answer I got was just, "It's just burger sauce." That's not an answer. If you can't even tell me what's in your food, how can you expect me to eat it? Later, after having two bites of my hockey-puck and then tossing it out in disgust, a google search told me that "burger sauce" often has things like horseradish and relish, definitely not something I'd want thrown in my food without knowing. read more

Great food! The loaded fries were along with the burgers. Need to come back and try the wings!

Out with my daughter and she wanted something to eat. Considering the fast food prices vs what's actually served, I decided on Smash Bros... This wasn't my first time having burgers from there. But it was my first time not ordering online... This place is really small inside. No tables. Enough room for roughly 6 people to stand inside. Parking? Get in where you fit in on the street. There's enough room on the property for two cars... That's it!! While ordering, I was told that it would be a 45 minute wait on a Saturday evening. A woman chimed in "It's Worth It" before I could say ok . The amount of people pulling up in cars confirmed what the woman said. The burgers and fries are amazingly good and affordable, and worth every minute of the wait time. They're obviously a favorite in this town with plenty of restaurants. Watching people walk out with bags every minute that I waited confirmed that the hype for this place is well earned. read more

I've been here 3 times now, and I don't usually leave reviews, but I want this place to stick around! Everything I've had here has either been satisfactory or above average, and the prices are very reasonable. My only minor complaint was that the 2nd time I got a cheesesteak, the roll wasn't seeded like the first time, but I'm pretty sure I can live with that. The steak overall here is excellent, easily one of the best in South Jersey. I know for a fact they use fresh ribeye, because I saw it behind the counter. Sarcone's roll and Cooper Sharp are the golden standard in my opinion. I'd put this steak up against Chick's Deli, Donkey's, or Corson's in Haddonfield as some of my favorites in the SJ area. Otherwise, the burgers are very solid, and the Mac and Cheese bites are NUTS. I think they use a little liquid smoke in there or something, because they had a little smoky flavor to them. read more

Visited here for lunch after reading reviews. I ordered garlic parm wings. Hubby got double bro burger and chicken fries. He said the burger was an 8 out of 10. Ok so this little place packs a punch. Wanted to try a few items so we got the double burger which was juicy and creamy and moist and what looks like on your average potato bun. Very good burger. (Suggestion: offer it as a deluxe as well ). Now let's discuss the loaded chicken fries that have really good fries with coleslaw, pickles and a spice blend that was really good. Lastly we got the OG cheesesteak with fried onions and whiz because we are originally from Philly. Lemme tell you the meat is divine. It is a true Philly cheesesteak. It will blow any cheesesteak flavor Wise out of the water at any of these nearby sandwich shops. My only issue was when you get whiz it is a bit salty and they must have added salt as well so it made it too salty. If you order with cheese whiz tell them pls don't add salt. But definitely get the cheesesteak because it's well worth it. Now to The staff, very nice on phone and personable and so nice when we picked it up as well. Give this place a try if you are Close by or passing through. But ohhh man that cheesesteak meat will melt in your mouth! I hope they stay around and do really well. read more

Burgers are not that big. I had a double, kinda thinking 5 guys, but more like a Wendy's double. If you want a 5 guys equivalent amount of beef go Triple. The spicy burger was really good. Congrats to @smashbrosnj on their grand opening today. I was excited to try them out as I think they have a great concept and menu. When I heard they were smoking and frying their wings, I knew I had to try them. Wings were everything I'd hope they'd be. No breading, cooked perfectly, flavorful spicy sauce, decent size. I got to meet up with my friend @justgrubbinaround and got to take a peek at the smash burger and the mac n cheese bites. Those mac n cheese bites are special. Get them and thank me later! They have a really good menu and it's priced fairly. I'll be coming back to try their cheesesteak among other things! read more

I am going to provide an honest review. We have been conducting a burger tour of South Jersey and tonight Smashbros was on the list. To start, they may need more help, the young lady was pleasant, but the young man was useless. I placed our order excited for what the hype was all about. 30 min later while waiting outside, I go back in and am told it's not ready yet they will bring it out. Did that happen, No. 40 min later-which is crazy for a cheeseburger,. We go home to enjoy our meal. First off, the fries are terrible I do not recommend them. The Bro burger was good, but not as great as I expected. It lacked in flavor and was a bit overcooked. The space is very small, and there is a lack of parking on premises. I would rank this a 5 out of 10.... read more

Would be a 4-star or higher but the tater tots were just WAY too oily. That being said, the burgers are wonderful! For anyone big into "Smashburger TikTok", I would compare it to 7th Street in NYC. Will definitely come again but might go for the fries instead. 7.1/10 read more

Popped in the other day to try them out. Came at just the right time and as there was NO line! Ordered a double and fries. They asked me if I like mac n cheese balls and convinced me to try them. They even threw in a Birch beer for free! Let me just say....I try not to eat burgers and stuff that isn't the healthiest often but when I do....THIS is the meal I want!!! Gooey, cheesy messy handful of DELICIOUSNESS! Burger was AWESOME and mac n cheese balls were scrumptious!! No idea what the seasoning/sauce was on them but I loved it!!! Been wanting to try since I read & hear all good reviews. Walked in on a Saturday at 5:30 (bad move) & it was packed but placed an order & was told 30 minutes. Burger was best I've had along with hot crispy delicious fries! Usually I find fries get soggy by time I get home but these were outstanding. Will be going back although I will pick a better time. While standing outside waiting I talked to several people also waiting & seems like I was only "newbie" & everyone was telling me how good place was.
