We have lived here for 11 years and never ordered pizza from Tuscan Bistro. We never even considered it an option...until today. I was craving pizza for lunch but I'm tired of the same ol' options. My husband started searching and discovered Tuscan Bistro does a pesto ricotta pizza. He knows how much I love a white pizza, but he doesn't enjoy tomatoes and the usual white pizza toppings. He was excited about this style of white pizza so we ordered that and a regular pepperoni. The pizza arrived hot and the crust was fantastic. The perfect flavor and consistency. My go to restaurant for white pizza, (baby broccoli, chopped tomatoes, ricotta cheese, garlic, and a drizzle of evoo. Had the veal Marsala which I recommend. Plenty of friendly wait staff, runners, and manager. Large main dining room with a friendly crowd. Saturday nights features a singer, (some dancing), that makes this a very enjoyable experience. If dining on the nights of the singers, reservations are recommended. read more

Had a very bizarre interaction with whoever answered the phone. Called in for a delivery order. I already checked the website so I knew they delivered to me. I gave the woman my address and she told me that I must have called the wrong pizza place. (they are 6 minutes from my house). I gave her my zip code and the town name multiple times and she had no clue...she eventually asked someone else if they knew the area, I was then put on hold. No clue what the issue was, but was finally able to order Ordered a pie and wings with a soda (would have done it on the website, but I couldn't use a the coupon). Paid by credit card and wanted to tip the driver in cash. When the driver arrived she handed my daughter the food without saying a word and scurried away before we had a minute to tip her. That being said, the pizza was ok (a little greasier than I would like, put it was pepperoni, so not the fault of anyone). Will I try again? Maybe, but it might be a place I would rather try in person, than delivery. read more

My fault in the first place for ever thinking that ordering a steak from an Italian restaurant was smart. 40 dollars for this... absolutely embarrassing, no sear at all, no flavor. I just think it's disappointing and insane to 1 charge that price and 1 not cook it properly at all. I asked for medium rare, some parts were close to medium rare others weren't. Yes I cut it right away to see how it was cooked. Overall for a restaurant with 4.4 reviews this is very disappointing to say the least. The broccoli rabe was very lackluster as well. Dined here yesterday after I saw a post on Facebook. Inside just redone and it did not disappoint. I ordered pappardelle bolognese pictured with came with soup and salad. I chose lobster bisque. My husband had chicken parm with capellini , chicken noodle soup and Caesar salad. We both enjoyed our meals and I got a peanut butter explosion dessert to go. We had our first dinner at the Tuscan Bistro last night and it was excellent! We started with the lobster bisque soup, salad and caprese. The food has always been great. We order food at least once a month from here. In Mother's Day an employee kept picking up and hanging up the phone on purpose. My husband drives there to order food to go and the young lady tells him, yes I'm picking up and hanging up the phone because we are too busy to take calls. Huh? What business does that? And then says you can order but it will take an hour for the food to be ready, which is fine had she answered the phone an hour ago I could have put my order in. I've spoken to the owner previous times when I've ordered but never thought he would be okay with treating his customers in this way. That's horrible! Suppose it had been someone with a disability unable to drive to their business and needed to place an order for delivery. read more

First time to Tuscan Bistro, it was highly recommended to go with a larger group. Called ahead and made reservations, they were great - they called to confirm same day. We arrived and our reservation was set and ready for us. Our waitress was very attentive. We order appetizers and a few entrees to share. Food was delicious! The entrees come with soup AND salad. You get basket of bread. We started off with calamari & clams. We had chicken noodle soup, chicken escaroles and Pasta fagioli. Salads were typical side salad. Went to Tuscan Bistro for the first time. We ordered the calamari and small house special pizza. I give the pizza a 5 star, it was very tasty and a nice crunchy crust! The calamari were tender and good as well. We ordered the pasta bolognese and pasta carbonara. They were both ok compared to the pizza. The bolognese sauce was a bit sweet for me and the pasta was over done, not Al dente. It did come with complimentary toasted bread. The lobster ravioli was also just ok. The steak Stromboli was good. The desserts were also just ok. The service was very poor. The waitress did not remember anything. I specifically asked her to remove the green peppers from the pizza and she didn't do it. She seemed a bit spacey if you ask me. Something was not right with her. Nevertheless, I will definitely go back for their pizza! read more

Walked in and was instantly and warmly greeted by the owner. Food was as fresh and delicious. The Ambiance was okay. The lighting is a bit harsh. That's the only thing I would change.. Went for lunch and had the whole place to ourselves. Noticed that they did do a fair share of pickup/delivery. Started with the Italian chicken soup. Which was okay. Thought the potatoes were a different touch The crispy chicken was done perfectly thin, crunchy and yet still moist inside. The Buffalo sauce was sweeter then I like it but still good. The salad itself was made up of all iceberg lettuce. Would have liked it with some other lettuce options or additions. 100% will definitely return and recommend. Carbonara - the best carbonara I have has in South Jersey. Zuppa de Pescatore - it was good, but needed a bit more seasoning for my taste. Tiramisu - one of the best I've had. Cappuccino - my only complaint is that it was a little cold Ambiance - very elegant, and it's a nice place to have a quiet meal. Service - our server was very nice and cordial, but service was a little slow. The owner was very hands-on. We appreciated the very personal approach. The owner was very friendly. Our new local favorite restaurant. Five stars! We ordered the clams appetizer and were impressed by the small and tender clams (unlike the large chewy ones you get sometimes) topped with a crunchy topping. There plenty of clam sauce great for dipping the bread. Our entree was Veal Francaise. The portions were generous and the veal tender and juicy every time we order it. Our Club holds its annual Christmas party at Tuscan Bistro and the folks there go out of their way to make our celebration a success. read more

My Sister and I went here for dinner, it was delicious! I got the lobster ravioli with a blush sauce, omgosh was it yummy. They put crab in the sauce, what a nice touch! Decided to try Tuscan Bistro because Amalfi has gone out of business and Luna Rossa Biagio Lamberti is no longer BYOB. Bread at Italian restaurants is a big indicator for me. Tuscan Bistro's bread appeared to be locally sourced torpedo rolls cut in half, brushed with butter and seasoned with garlic powder, paprika, and maybe some oregano. Not great, but certainly what I'd expect from a pizza restaurant like this. Wife and daughter ordered the Crab-A-Bow and they really liked it. I ordered the stuffed flounder and it was somewhat dry. The pasta it came with was simply sprinkled with crab meat and no sauce. Both dishes could've been elevated with, maybe, some roasted asparagus mixed in with the Crab-A-Bow blush sauce and as a side for the flounder. Also ordered the calamari and stuffed long hots appetizers. A big No-No is the long hots had all their seeds. Because of this, I wanted to rate them somewhat lower. But because the people are so nice, I kept it at 4 out of 5 stars. read more
