Recently our go to for a quick bite. Always include an order of the wings. Finally tried Mikes Chili. Recommend this and will order this again. Taco Tuesday, tasty and filling.

Amato Bros has been on my list to try for what seems like a lifetime, passing by their location on a regular basis I always said I have to stop in and try this place. During some recent home renovations, the time had come, looking for a different place to pick up take out lunch for myself and the crew, I put in an order for pickup. The menu is extensive, if you cant find what you want here, you might not be hungry. We ordered up a Chicken Tender Platter; (5) delicious tenders, fries and coleslaw. Served with BBQ sauce or honey mustard. This received rave reviews from the person that ordered it. We also tried a few of their Chicken cutlets, the Cutlet Italiano with sharp provolone & sautéed broccoli rabe. These were fantastic! Fresh real chicken cutlets not the frozen mass produced cutlets. We really enjoyed the delicious food and have made Amato Brothers a regular on our list of lunch spots. They have off street parking lot, a nice selection of takeout beer featuring new craft brews from the area & around the country. If you want to eat in, they have a front dining room and bar with 16 taps & over 50+ bottle selections and cocktails. Take out is in a separate area at the back of the building as you enter from the side parking lot door.

Stopped here this past Friday. One of my personal favorite hoagie spots. Always delicious, fresh ingredients, your choice of seeded or non-seeded roll. I did take out this time and my hoagie was ready a few minutes after ordering. But they also have a nice cozy bar if you wanted to dine in. This is the spicy Italian and once again it was excellent.

My first time to this place and I was not disappointed. Very crowded in the takeout section for an eagle Sunday, and the restaurant part looked pretty cool. I would definitely go back and I thought the cheesesteak, although a chicken cheesesteak this time, was pretty darn good.

We're recently new to the area and have stumbled upon Amato Bros. We continue to be impressed with all the items on their menu. Located in Oaklyn, NJ (Camden County), and located very close to my house. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches, hoagies, cheesesteaks, etc. and everything we've gotten has been delicious. I personally love the Italian sub - it's huge! A deliciously soft hoagie roll with salami, capicola, pepperoni, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Each bite had a perfect amount of meat. We've also ordered the Mother Cutlet sandwich - juicy grilled chicken topped with roasted red ppepers, mozzarella, and broccoli rabe. I drizzled a little balsamic it and it really popped. My boyfriend's personal favorite is the chicken tender platter. Lately we've been on a chicken finger kick. 5 large tenders served with a billion fries. We initially tasted them on the munchie platter (tenders, fries, onion rings, moz. sticks, fried raviolis and broccoli cheddar bites). Everything else was fine, but we had to get more of those tenders. I recommend Amato Bros if you're looking for a delicious sample with great quality. I do like when you pick up food for takeout they have beer for purchase.

I can't say enough good things about Amato Bros. The atmosphere is welcoming, like you're hanging out in a friend's basement bar, but with better food & good drinks. The staff, especially Chris, the bartender/manager, is super colloquial & I find myself excited to see him behind the bar because he's just a cool dude to chat with while we're dining/drinking. There's always a good beer selection, but even the seasonal cocktails don't disappoint. I wouldn't usually trust a gin cocktail to a bar in a hoagie joint, but I was pleasantly surprised to find myself dreaming of English garden parties on a cold first day of winter. My guy ordered a dirty vodka martini on the whim of a craving & it was executed to his taste: not too dirty, not just vodka with some olives. The food really stands out here. The menu is huge (HUGE), & there is something for everyone. I struggle to choose each time I'm in because the chicken cutlet sammies are drool-worthy (my guy literally thinks about them all day), but the hoagies (including the meatless options) are also memorably delightful. Everything is just so fresh, you can tell that this establishment is run by a family that cares about quality & cares about you.

Thank Goodness I spent most of my adult life in New Jersey!! Another top cheesesteak is in New Jersey!! The seeded roll, too die for. The meat is easily top 5. Ordering off the menu has been working well for me lately so I went with the 'Garlic Mushroom Cheesesteak.' I was very happy I did. I still smell like garlic but that is the price I will pay to taste greatness!! Cape May Brewing 'the Bog' was the perfect accessories for this Cheesesteak.

Let me start with the service...while our waiter was friendly she was not attentive to our table after taking the order. We noticed all the other tables had bread and we were sitting for 45 minutes after ordering our meals and did not get bread or even a refill or drinks or water. We got the attention of our server and asked for bread. 20 more minutes and she brought small basket with 5 pieces of bread (for a table of six waiting over an hour now). We asked for more and 10 minutes went by, so we asked again assuming they forgot. We were told it's in the oven. Finally, another small basket of 5 slices shows up in another 10 minutes. After 90 minutes our apps arrived. Seafood chowder was ok at best, raw clams were tasty, salads and dressings were very good. Our meals came soon after, but total wait from when we sat was 2 hours. Steaks were very good, salmon was average at best, seafood pasta was ok, halibut special was decent. Overall, the entrees were forgettable. We ordered desserts which were surprisingly fantastic. The rice pudding, crem brûlée, and their cheesecake/ice cream were all delicious. Now back to the service....by the time we finished dessert, not one water glass was refilled and the table wasn't bussed. We piled our empty appetizers and salad plates at the end of the table and they remained there the entire meal. I know many people had great experiences but this is a definite one and done as everyone in our party agreed.

I had requested a cozy spot not a table smack dab in the middle of the floor. We were seated at a banquette corner spot which was great. Interior is way smaller than I anticipated from seeing pics but is cozy. Our server, River, was friendly and informative. Food came out at a nice pace. This was EASILY the best meal I have had out in 10-15 years. Food was stellar. Each dish was unique, well seasoned, interesting, and balanced. Positively delicious. I am irritated I waited so long to come here. I don't live near Collingswood. Prix fixe tasting menus are typically not my first choice. My eyes missed the note on their site that ala carte is only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have dietary restrictions and I didn't think I was that hungry. My dining partner is an omnivore but I eat vegan part of the week. I am more a vegetarian leaning pescatarian. I do not eat offal, beef, or pork. I am allergic to beef. Tasting menus are typically problematic for me. This menu was so varied and perfectly proportioned. I had choices I was very happy with. We walked out satisfied but not grotesque. What we ordered- sicilian tuna - parsley, capers, calabrian chili, sourdough (supplemental $5) watermelon & stone fruit - mint-chili vinaigrette, fennel, stracciatella lumache - pancetta, charred corn, cherry tomato, soft egg risotto - zucchini, szechuan butter, pistachio, lemon honey Branzino to share - whole fish - tomato, black olive, fennel, burnt orange caramelized pâte feuilletée - yuzu, blackberry mint gelée, matcha crumb pâte à choux - craquelin, corn semifreddo, peach-jalapeño reduction Highly, highly recommend.

First, the place is very nice on the inside; spacious, clean, relatively quiet. The servers were nice, (a little awkward, but nice...), and the food was delicious. I decided to go with the chicharrones mofongo, and the Misses got the salmon. We got a side of fried plantains to split. I was a little worried watching other peoples mofongos coming out, because although beautifully plated, the helping looked small. But, it was more than enough food. The plantains were more than a little over, (aka burnt,) but they tasted ok nevertheless. The Misses enjoyed her salmon, but was QUITE upset that the meal came with white rice instead of yellow. She says that she specifically asked for yellow, but I can't remember, AND, as is the custom now a days, the waitress didn't write the order down, instead trying to remember everything. Hate that practice, I really do. The MEALS were reasonably priced, but the sides and drinks were astronomical. The side of plaintains was TEN dollars. I ordered a coffee at the end of the meal, (that took FOR.EVER. to come out by the way,) and it was like an espresso sized cup of coffee that costed almost $5. The iced teas, over $4. They make up the difference of the meals on the other shit. Our bill for the mofongo, the salmon, an iced tea, a side of plantains, and the worlds slowest, smallest coffee was JUST under $100. It was good, but it wasn't THAT good. As I mentioned, the server was awkward, and would come by the table and then just stand there, or walk away and then walk IMMEDIATELY back, so it was just a little weird. YMMV. Again, even with all that, I would absolutely go back here. They have a LOT of mofongo options, and I'd love to try another protein.
