We visited Amato Bros last night during their happy hour to have an early dinner. Since this was our first visit we weren't sure what to expect even though their online menu showed a lot of offerings and specials. For apps we ordered the meatballs and six wings with the recommended Cajun sauce. The meatballs were okay but we have had much better. The wings were tender and juicy and were a good choice. I ordered one of their chicken sandwiches which was very good and was recommended by our waitress and it was very enjoyable. My wife ordered one of their cheesesteaks and enjoyed one half of it and brought the other half home. We both had a draft beer which they had a limited selection. Originally, my wife ordered a whiskey sour from their HH menu and unfortunately it was undrinkable. I believe that our waitress made the drink and eventually another woman was behind the bar working. The disappointment was that this undrinkable cocktail was NOT removed from our bill. I guess that I should have spoke to the management concerning this charge. We are still undecided about whether or not to revisit this restaurant. The food was good so maybe we will only do takeout going forward. read more

Cheesesteak and hoagies are very good. After that, slop. My son said his burger was horrible and he'll eat anything. Nachos were crap, hardly any cheese. Fries were passable at best. Tough to screw up fries but they tried. Last but not least, Buffalo Quesadilla. Horrible, no cheese and was not grilled. Stick to hoagies and steaks and you'll be ok otherwise go somewhere else. read more

Welcome home Amatos! We faithfully followed you to Glendora for the past 2 years and we couldn't be happier to see you up and running back close to home. We ordered a cheesesteak, fries, an amatos club and wings and we were pleased! Everything was delicious. To anyone who complains, be a little more understanding and give them time to work out the kinks. If you follow their fb page they have kept their customers updated throughout this entire process and all they ask of us now is time to get everything up and running like normal. It takes a while when you have new employees, new systems and a new building. We will be back this weekend for our favorites hoagies. read more

We were just here today, August 27 to get lunch. We ordered a salad with grilled chicken and a grilled chicken wrap. 37 minutes later and the food still was not there. It was not busy at all either. When we arrived there were a total of 2 tables already eating their food. To make matters worse, 2 tables came 10-15 minutes in after us and both got their food before we finally left without receiving our food. There was no manager walking around checking to see if everything was ok. It is completely unacceptable to wait almost 40 minutes at lunchtime to get food. read more

I ordered nachos specifically because the menu stated it would come with melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese. It came out with melted cheese sauce. I complained and the waitress brought it back to me with some shredded cheddar cheese on top and said, "It's in there. It's just layered". I took it all apart and there was nothing but cheese sauce. Not serving what's described on the menu is one thing but lying and thinking I'm too stupid to figure it out is just insulting. read more

I dont know what happened to this place. When they first opened everything was great. Then it wasnt. Last time me and my wife ordered the food took an hour to get here ( we live less then a mile away) and when it arrived the sauce from our chicken fingers was spilled inside the bag all over everything. Great meal of wings and rings, with beer! I used to love it before the fire, but it was definitely not sit down and eat, and there was no liquor license. Better than Primo hoagies. I love that they give you the option of a regular roll or Italian sesame seed roll. It was our first time there last night and we had to throw away the menu because we kept thinking about everything else we wanted to try. The young lady that took our order was really nice and I was impressed with the restaurant side having a full bar. Plus it's very clean in there. I'm happy to see Amato brothers has reopened after being closed for 2 yrs after the fire. Considering they've just reopened I will give them some time to get things straightened out. I placed a take out order for an eggplant parmesan sandwich and got chicken parmesan, also ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich with sharp provolone with nothing else on it and got a chicken cutlet hoagie. Both sandwiches were good but not what was ordered. Will still continue to order from here but hopefully will get what I order. read more

I'm so disappointed! If you go there and sit for food, they cater to you. If you call for pick up, they make sure your food is right. But if you call for delivery, they don't care at all..make you wait over an hour, did not answer the phone when I called 3 times and then, what? Oh its the wrong address and 2 hours later its the delivery persons issue... NO! that poor kid tried to give us the old ass food for free and said it's ok but I know how delivery works and he better get his money back!! read more

would give 6 stars if i could. takeout is great, they have a small bar with tables an chairs, bartenders are great the whole staff is helpful with navigating the beer menu(the bartenders are great at finding a new craft beer that you will love), more of a family oriented establishment. the food is very good, you cannot go wrong. My favorites are the baton rouge wings, (all the sauces are great) cheesesteak italiano broccoli rabe and x- sharp provolone, and of course the spicy Italian hoagie. read more

I loved the old Amatos. Great take out and great people running the place. Now they've reopened nearly two years after a fire shuttered the business. I'd like to say their food is back to their old high standards, but I wouldn't know. This is the second night in a row I've tried to place a to-go order and have had no luck. On both nights when I called, the phone rings and rings and no one answers. In the past I would have submitted an order via the GrubHub app, but they are no longer using it. Bad move on their part -- especially if you aren't going to answer your phone. I decided to go over and place an order in person. The new parking lot is too small to handle both the take out business and the new sit down restaurant. I had to park down the White Horse Pike in the lot of another business. When I placed my order (a cheesesteak and a hoagie), I was told my food would take at least 45 minutes to be ready. I cancelled the order. Hopefully the newly reopened restaurant is just working out the kinks, but to not even answer the phone is a little ridiculous. If you know you're going to be busy on weekends, hire more staff. I hope to try Amatos again, but it won't be anytime soon. read more

Was there tonight and it took 45 minutes for them to grill my chicken and put roasted peppers and cheese on it because they gave me fried chicken cutlets instead of grilled!! This is the second time we have visited since it reopened after the fire. The first time we sat at the bar for food and drinks. The bartender was lackluster and even though there was a bartender at the service bar it still took forever to receive refills on our drinks on a Friday night. We ordered the appetizer sampler which was very good and then when we wanted to order sandwiches to go...they were out of rolls. OK we thought they were only opened for a short time and short ordered. We returned tonight and sat at a table with Taylor as our server. We had mac and cheese balls which were just ok. Not much mac and cheese and they were rather flat and tasteless. We order quesadillas which were good and filled with lots of cheese, peppers and onions. I had the Philly cheesesteak which was also very good. We got classic hoagies to go so they did not run out of bread. However the bartender was again lackluster. We felt bad for our server as the bartender was more interested in talking to the two customers at the bar rather than serve the waitresses. She had to ask twice for drinks and finally the bartender looked at the slip. Taylor was very good but they may need to spend more time training their bartenders on good customer service. read more
