Came here for the Impossible burger which was really tasty! The atmosphere was nice, pleasant and helpful staff who assisted us with ordering for the first time and offered recommendations. All of the food we ordered was really delicious but it is annoying that almost every topping is an up charge. This made two cheeseburgers, fries and drinks an almost $50 meal. I was unaware until after ordering that they had regular mayonnaise and ketchup available. They offer craft fountain sodas but were all odd flavors I wasn't really interested in. read more

What a disappointment -ORDER TAKEOUT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! The owner is extremely rude and condescending. He is unprofessional and disrespectful to customers who complain about paying for 4 Kobe beef burgers that were overcooked to the point that they tasted like rubber. When I ordered I told the person who took my order that I did NOT want the burgers well done. In fact, I asked that the burgers be pink in the center and that we were not going to eat them until later in the evening. Well surprise, surprise!!!! Burnt burgers for my dinner guest. An order that included a couple sides and milkshakes to the tune of a wasted $125 including a 15% tip for the takeout. The fact that the owner had the nerve to tell me that my husband was 15 minutes late to pick up the food and that I don't ever have to come back to his restaurant is why I'm writing this review to warn you that The Burger Barr is NOT customer friendly. I wasn't looking for anything but a sorry you had a bad experience. Instead I got - "You were late picking up you food so of course the burgers were burnt. So, don't come back." Wow, don't waste your money for takeout like we did. Also, never order close to closing time. The burgerbarr was amazing! It was my first time there and the employees were very helpful by explaining the menu and making recommendations. I got the blend burger well done and my husband got the wagyu burger medium. The burgers were so juicy and the brioche bun was great with both of them. We were both very impressed and even after we left were still talking about the awesome burgers. Delicious!!! Every bite was craving for another. The truffle fries were the star... gourmet! The strawberry milkshake was heavenly. And the burger... yummo! I got mine medium w/the avocado and my hubby got his med w/ the applewood bacon as add ons. They were juicy, flavorful and dripping with sauce. This place sure does not disappoint. Very nice staff. They take pride in their work. I'm going to say for people complaining about price, get over the cost of the burgers as I see some people complain. They are handmade with quality ingredients and they are big. Good isn't cheap and cheap isn't good. I think the burgers are priced right. The gluten free roll was better than any gluten free I've ever had. The staff is sooo nice and genuine. The cook asked what we thought of our food while we were eating.... Burger Barr was surprisingly AMAZING!!! we found it on Yelp in a search for gluten free options. We decided to try it for the first time and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! the burger blend on a gluten free roll and veggie burger on a pretzel bun were delicious! My son had the chuck burger and regular fries. Burgers were cooked to perfection and the fries were crispy hot and delicious! This place is great! The decor is attractive and the people are really pleasant. I have ordered take-out and eaten - the Blend and Wagyu with and without a bun and I have never been disappointed. The sauces are super tasty. I did not expect to like the garlic aioli since I don't like mayo but it was delicious! The Cherry BBQ was amazing! The bacon slices are hearty. Best burger that I've had in awhile! I had the Kobe burger cooked MR with fried onions, cheddar, lettuce and tomato on a brioche roll. I actually tried to stop here in late 2017 when they were called Burger, Chips and Shakes because they had really good reviews and I love a good burger but alas my mission was foiled when I saw the "Under Construction, we'll be back sign". Fast forward to 2018 and boom, Burger Barr is up and running like me back in '98 when I could still do such a thing. You know my routine by now, after looking at the yelp and reading some reviews my stomach started growling and I immediately went to the menu to see what was what. All their burgers come with lettuce, tomato, cooper sharp and their secret sauce. After that it's up to you to build your perfect burger. With so many options this was wayyyyy tougher than I expected, when you're a foodie...specifically one that has the mindset of Vince Wilfork...this shit is tough because I literally want everything on the menu. After much deliberation between me and my inner fat person I decided to go with the Kobe Wagyu Beef on the Brioche bun with cooper sharp and cheddar cheese, grilled mushrooms, onions, sriracha ketchup and garlic aioli....and of course bacon. Holy Delicious Burger Baby Jesus. I've had wagyu beef sliders before but not a full burger. I honestly don't know how I go back to eating regular beef after devouring this masterpiece. The burger I built is up there in my top 5 of best burgers I've had, and it's fast rising to number 1. As you can see from the pictures below, they aren't giving you skimpy burgers, their providing a classy form of Mondo Burger at Burger Barr. We say this a lot in our reviews but you really can't say it enough, the fresh ingredients were incredible...did I mention they make all their sauces in house?! I literally just sat back in my chair and started reminiscing about how good this thing was. The quality of the burger is up there with some of the best restaurants in the Jersey and Philly area but at fast casual prices, which is perfect for my broke ass. I want to give you guys more of a description and go into detail but I guess you can say I'm at a loss of words because the only words I can think of is "Phenomenal", "elite", "Banging", and "Fuck a diet if burgers are going to be this good". I'm going to explore this menu some more and update this post but after only trying it one time I can wholeheartedly say if you're a fan of burgers and you're in the South Jersey area you're going to want to stop in and give Burger Barr a go. read more

This place has great burgers but either ordering process takes a while, and the eat-in situation is very stressful. We are a family of four who just paid $80 for burgers and fries, we shouldn't have to stand around waiting for a place to eat our food. Also, this may seem super picky but the sides come out way before the burgers, then the burgers come out in huge round baskets that can't fit on the table because the side are all in their own baskets! Just put the sides on the same basket with the burger and serve them all at once! Honestly, we won't eat hear again, and it's a shame because the burgers are great. I have heard wonderful things so tonight I decided I would finally check this place out. It is a Saturday so I expected they would be busy and they were. I had to wait a few minutes to be acknowledged because these brothers were ripping and running on the grill and hustling orders out to their customers. I don't mind waiting when I know the product is worth the wait. My family owned a restaurant for 32 years and you have to expect that a restaurant with a good reputation and delicious eats will be busy on a Saturday night. If you can't wait patiently then go to McDonald's. Now for the food!! It was certainly worth the wait. I got the premium chuck on a wheat bun with jarlesberg cheese, mushrooms, onions and bacon and an order of truffle fries. I ate half of the truffle fries before I got home. I got (and recommend) the impossible veggie burger on an pretzel bun with cooper sharp, caramelized onions, arugula and a tomato slice with cheese fries and a fountain soda with free (yes-FREE) refills. I like how you can customize the cheese fries with your choice of cheese and toppings. I topped my fries off with cooper sharp, caramelized onions, and jalapeños. Neighborhood gem! So surprise that a burger place like this exist in the suburbs. You can customize your burgers from the bun, meat, cheese, and toppings so prices will vary. The meat was cooked to a good temperature and the special sauce is really good. I would recommend trying out the pretzel bun, it was a pleasant surprise I didn't think a pretzel bun would taste that good. Very good sandwiches! I had their chicken (I don't eat red meat) and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the Kobe beef and he said it was cooked just right! My friends and I went here for the first time to try out. It seemed promising bc it received great reviews. We walked in and the menu is on the mall to the right. You basically can make your own burger. There are options to add different kinds of burgers or chicken, a few selections of toppings that cost extra, and cheeses, buns and sauce. They also have fries which were good, cheese fries, pierogis, etc and some milkshakes. The burger was very good and big. It made the bun soggy from the sauces but it was all delicious. Service was good, it came out fast. I just don't like how when places don't include the fries with the burger. You have to pay extra if you want fries. It was kinda pricy here. It cost like $20 for just a burger and fries. It's worth it bc it's really good but I think personally the prices should be alittle lower.
