After my experience tonight, I will most certainly be back! The first thing that struck me about the place was that it was decidedly dated, and I mean that in a nostalgic way. The Charlie Brown's building clearly has a history, and one could easily imagine what this place was like as a one family home. Pretty cool! Tin backsplashes come to mind as a dominant feature of the indoor decor. They dotted the huge, multi-roomed interior, giving the place a classic, yet elegant feel, like being in grandma's kitchen. The space was great, and I especially loved the dining room in the the library, adorned with grand bookcases full of the classics! The menu was what I would expect a reasonably priced steakhouse would be. There were plenty of choices in steaks, and other dishes, and their prices were good. I ordered the sirloin, with mashed potatoes and the salad bar....and I thoroughly enjoyed it all! The service at Charlie Brown's was great, as well, and everyone we came into contact with served us with a smile. I have no photos...but I'll be back! Other favorites include the vegan chicken sandwich and the poutine. On the holidays they have an amazing vegan pot pie, made from scratch that will convince even the most skeptical carnivore. Service has always been good, Nick is our favorite waiter. Classic diner feel with a greater focus on the food.
