Solid food. Casual environment. Good service. Nothing complicated about this food. We'd come back.

Wanted a restaurant that served cream chip beef, and it was delicious! Perfect amount of food! Service was great and very friendly. We had a big party and sat at the back table.

We did the Heart Walk and wanted breakfast afterward, and I-saw all of the good reviews on Yelp so we decided to come here. The chocolate chip pancakes were just OK and the yucky orange juice was from a big store bought gallon of it. Rip off! At least Joey really liked his pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. The eggs were so good and the winner of the show (I had a side scrambled). The whole staff is exceptionally nice and accommodating. When the owner (?) knew it was our first time dining there, he gave me a complementary quart of cabbage soup because he heard me saying that I had never tried it before. So sweet! I gave it to my dad and he said it was very good but not spicy enough. My mom loved it. I wish I could give a better review, but I'm always honest.

Breakfast sandwich- so delicious!

We are always so pleased with our meals here. The gentlemen that run this place are some of the nicest people we've met on our travels and we always look forward to eating here! Love the eggs Benedict and patty melts- and you can't beat the price!

Nothing short of beautiful ! Customer service is on point, food is hot and tasty !!!

The service was beyond phenomenal, everybody appeared to be in great moods while working. The only suprise for me was the actual size once you walk in but that doesn't matter as long as the food and service are too notch and they were ! Food was amazing and hot. When I'm back in NJ I'll be back here for breakfast guaranteed !

Love this place! The food is always excellent and reasonably priced. Staff is fun and friendly too. We especially enjoyed their breakfasts, burgers, and soups.

Hated my food. Was in the neighborhood and the post office lady recommended this place. The French toast was dry like i don't know if they used any egg and the scrapple just wasn't what i expected lol.

We usually only eat at places that are well rated by some search engine and we found this diner. We ate there 4 times and were only in town for a week. The staff is very friendly and responsive and the service is spot on. The food was excellent. I did not care for the pancakes but there was nothing wrong with them, just a little puffy for me. The omelette and the French toast was wonderful. Needless to say that we will eat there again when in the area.

It's very cute and very tidy and even the restrooms are really cute and very clean. I met with a couple girlfriends and we split a couple dishes. We started with the matzoh ball soup and the crab bisque, which were both delicious and very flavorful , next..... we ordered the turkey burger, which was delicious and we got a side of mixed fruit, which was great and another dish we ordered was the blueberry pulled pork, which was delicious, and they can also do it gluten-free. We did order a side of french fries that was a huge portion and they looked like fresh cut and the skin was on the fries and everything was full of flavor and very fresh. We all agree that we can't wait to return and try more things on the menu. A lot of their dishes they can do dairy free or gluten-free. It was really great to have these options in place everything was very flavorful. The service was excellent and it seemed like they had a couple people that were training and shadowing other servers, but everyone was really chipper and really sweet. It is a hidden gem and the parking lot was really awesome so that we could park securely, but the town looks very walkable and really neat. I would definitely love to come back when I have more time. I cannot wait to try more things on the menu

First course was corn soup with a corn fritter yum this was my favorite part of the meal. 2nd course we chose the corn dip and corn Mac & cheese. My sister in law absolutely loved the fried chicken and corn panzanella she ate the entire dish and said it was so light and refreshing. Dessert was Mexican brownie with corn ice cream and some type of cheesecake dessert. The dessert was just ok . Service was excellent. We sat upstairs which was really nice.

This time, we arrived at 11 on a Sunday, and the wait was expected to be about 30 minutes. We decided to stick it out this time. Lo and behold, after 30 minutes, we got the call--it was raining so we hung out under a nearby awning-- and away we went to sit at the window counter/bar, which afforded us a nice view of people going in and out as they joined the queue. I now understand why people line up for this place: they serve an outstanding brunch. I had one of the omelettes of the day, which in this case was artichoke, bacon and mozzarella. While that may seem like an odd combination--I can't remember ever having an omelette with artichoke in it--it totally worked. In fact, it was one of the best omelettes I've had in recent memory. It also came with a yummy biscuit (especially yummy if you ask them to bring you honey butter) and breakfast potatoes (I accessorized their ketchup with a bit of hot sauce and bingo). My dining companion also really enjoyed his spinach, feta and mushroom omelette. Service was friendly and efficient without ever making us feel rushed. Prices are reasonable, and there are a whole lot of things that looked yummy around us, especially the challah stuffed French toast--I definitely wouldn't mind splitting that with a friend on a future visit.

We were sat by the window bar and it was fine. The service was nice and got us in and out in a timely manner. I ordered the baked potato omelette and it was so good. We chose this because the menu had a nice mix of southern and American favorites that they weren't accustomed to. You should've seen two northern boys trying to describe grits to a Swede. Our waitress was awesome. She was great at explaining things and talking about each dish. Of course there were questions. Some things probably got lost in translation but everyone was happy with their choices. I also feel like servers are always put in an awkward position when you ask them to help you choose. Food is like art. It's so subjective. So for starters we got the fried greet tomatoes and the Burrata. Burrata was not ideal for sharing with people you do not know. It was one large piece of toast. So she actually took it back and someone cut it into 4 sections for us. The fried green tomatoes were awesome. It had a nice tangy sauce with sweeter pickles that came along side. My colleague got the open faced chicken sandwich which was an enormous amount of food. It was two fat chicken pieces on two thick slices of toast. I got the salmon sticky rice bowl with a side of the charred broccoli. Both were so delicious. The salmon had some broccoli in it too. So I really over did it. The charred broccoli side had crusted Parmesan in it and a creamy sauce. Both dishes were just knock outs. Almost forgot I got the love latte too. That was really good. I got it with oat milk. So I highly recommend this place. Great for a business lunch too. Easy to hear one another. Music wasn't too loud. Oh they were very gracious with us. We were 15 minutes late because I wouldn't stop talking in the pre lunch meeting. Yeah I'm that guy. Figures I'd be on Yelp.

I placed my order, got my silverware and table number and sat down to wait for them to bring it out, very efficient way to do things. When my food arrived, an omelet with mushrooms, onions, sweet Italian sausage, and cheddar cheese, my eyes grew wide. Before digging in I popped a stray mushroom that was sitting on top of omelette before taking the photo. Immediately noticed the amount of flavor of the mushroom alone, it prompted me to ask if they were marinated, the chef/owner came out after I was done and said she takes baby bella mushrooms, cuts them up and sautees them in salt pepper garlic, "no cans here' she said and you can tell. Upon digging into the omelette I found it to be loaded with the ingredients I had chosen, even distribution, I mean just look at that cross section! In a time when too many small, family-owned diners didn't make it through the pandemic, there's something reassuring about stepping into a place like this--still here, still serving, still doing what it does best. It's not fancy, and it doesn't need to be. The charm is in the simplicity--the hum of conversation, the clatter of plates, the scent of fresh coffee drifting through the air. The kind of place where you don't have to be a regular to be treated like one. The staff? Friendly, welcoming, the kind of people who make you feel like your business actually matters. The food? Exactly what diner food should be--hot, hearty, and delicious. I had the prime rib, and let me tell you, it was everything you want it to be. Juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned, the kind of meal that reminds you why diners like this are worth holding onto. And the prices? Fair. More than fair. A good meal at a good price, served by good people. That's what keeps a place like this going, and that's why we'll be back. Because Swedesboro Diner isn't just surviving--it's thriving.
