Someone shared with me that this place had killer French Onion Soup. So I was out running errands and decided to do the drive thru. I have to say that they have excellent soup. We didn't realize that the gooey cheese was on the bottom until after a few spoonfuls but when we found it we were very happy. I will definitely be returning for more, but I won't be using the drive thru because when I got home and looked at the receipt they charged me 50 cents for a drive thru fee. read more

Total bummer. Chicken sandwich lettuce wrap. First of all there is hardly any lettuce, and more than half of it is slimy and rotten. This was the last time I'll go here. I used to love it so much and it was a weekly easy dinner for us. But it's just been too many problems repeatedly. Wow! We were hungry and I was with a pick eater who actually wanted fast food. This place had a drive thru so that could fit his RV (it's a no roof drive thru, fyi). He had a chicken sandwich and I had a patty melt. Next time I go, I'm getting an Elk burger. I knew we were in for a treat when they asked how I would like my meat cooked. So yummy, appetizing and filling. As with all places these days, it's on the not cheap side and I didn't go in to check on the cleanliness but the workers were friendly and efficient with our food. The workers were so nice and they were fast! We used the order kiosk - I had a chicken burger and my husband had a cheese burger. This is our first time trying Berger Me and I have no idea why it's taken this long. When we walk in, there is a counter you can order your food at, and then they bring it to your table. My husband ordered a NV Elk Burger, and I got the bbq bison burger. We got a cheese burger kids meal and a chicken finger kids mean for our kids. Not one of us was dissatisfied! The burgers were made medium well like we ordered and were full of flavor. In addition to the food, they have outdoor and indoor seating, and the lights they have outside give a great feel. There are also arcade games, and it's a decent place for families to eat. I will say, they do not have high chairs with working safety buckles. Both high chairs had broken buckles and made it really hard to keep my toddler from wanting to stand up in it. Aside from that though, everything was perfect. Today's experience and cheeseburger were excellent. My cheeseburger was fantastic, all the ingredients were perfectly balanced! I've been to this location once before for a drive through experience, which did not disappoint and that experience made me a fan. Have visited the summit mall location several times and have not been disappointed ever. Yet, today, it was the stellar service from Koby that prompted me to write. The gal at the front counter was occupied as I was looking over the menu, she did see me and told me she'd be right with me; much appreciated. Yet, it was Koby who moved right over to greet me and take my order, he was polite, efficient, and seemed to understand why customers are there and his role in all of it. TLDR: Great Fries! Man, I really like this place! Bonus points for being so close to where we stayed. It's also a great location, right off the 80, so if you were to say, head back to Cali, you could easily stop by and get a great bite to eat here. The fries are amazing! Super crunchy and not too salty... It also had good flavor as well. Both my wife and I loved them. Honestly, it's worth going there for the fries! I ordered the elk burger, because I never had it before... It was pretty good. But I also love lamb. I couldn't really taste the gamey taste, although my wife did. The BBQ bison burger has gone downhill very much. And the seating has changed dramatically in the wrong direction.

We were just passing through on a long drive to the coast. Found it off Yelp for a quick stop. Ordered online and was ready very quickly - 10 min after we pulled up. Decided to eat inside. We stopped for lunch to get a burger and fries. So, I have a pet peeve about being solicited for TIPS at a non-table waited food establishment. It seems the younger generation doesn't know what TIPS stands for. To Insure Prompt Service. When you walk in there is a Kiosk that you can place your order, pay and be solicited for TIPS... Or, as we did, ordered at the counter and be solicited for TIPS at the payment card reader, the choices were No Thanks, 15%-20% to Other.... Not ever being to this location before, I chose No Thanks. They brought our meal out to us, as we chose to eat outside. My wife ordered the 1/3 lb. build a burger, well done and large fries, I ordered the the Cowboy, well done and large fries. Our order was correct, the fries were good and good portion. The place was clean on the inside, the bathrooms were very clean and supplied. The outside table wasn't wiped and I didn't ask if they would clean it, someone had ice cream, lol. The TIPS thing kind of soured the experience. I've seen the movie, "Servers". Would I have been out of line to ask for the table to be wiped off after not giving TIPS? Would it have effected my order? If I had given TIPS, should I have expected I shouldn't have to ask to have the table wiped. This isn't going to be the best burger you ever had but for NW Reno, and the limited quick food options available, this is a pretty good burger. My husband typically gets the BBQ Bison Burger and is always happy. I typically get the French Dip and really enjoy it--recognizing of course that it's not really a burger. I've also ordered a few of their specials and haven't been disappointed. The best thing about this place is the variety of proteins (beef, chicken, elk, bison, fish), variety of buns (white, wheat, rye, brioche, gluten free, and lettuce wraps), and the ability to customize your burger to your liking with toppings like fried eggs, avocado, grilled onions, onion rings, etc. I'm all about a custom burger. I do wish they offered more suggestions on burgers to show some creativity with what can be done. Sometimes I need a little inspiration before I can figure out my burger concoction. They can take a bit long to cook and the line can be lengthy (more so in wait time than anything else) but it's because everything is cooked fresh to order and I'm sure they give priority to the drive thru. If you're on your way into Reno, out of Reno, or live in Northwest, then I totally recommend it for a cute little local place with good burgers. read more

Ordered take out at burger me today my order was a hamburger with grilled onions, side of fries and onion rings. I called the order in said it would be 10-15 minutes. I went over to pick and it was really busy inside. The line wasn't long and I waited 5 minutes til they called my name. The food overall was good. The burger was juicy and not over cooked. The fries had a decent amount of salt. The onion rings looked good and smelled good but they disappointed me. The color is golden brown on the outside but there was pieces of it that were over cooked and charred and it was too much grease on it. It had been years since I had one of the marvelous burgers, and that came from thee sister store in Truckee. I was traveling on i80 headed back into town when the idea to get a burger and fries. I recalled there store on Sharlands dr just off I80. Of my goodness, I certainly want disappointed. From the moment I walked in the place, I felt confident I was in for a treat. Oh I ordered a regular cheese burger and fries. They only use all Natural Ingredients, I selected a whole wheat bun. The fries were plump and cooked just right. The burger itself, was amazing. And sever medium rare, and it was pink in the middle, wow! I give these five stars and will be back to try that Buffalo burger a try.
