Their meat is perfectly seasoned with crispy edges, so far had their Mushroom & Swiss, which was the best 1 I've had in over a decade & I have a Patty Melt on the way through Doordash, & can't wait. Just decided to try this place again. It has a great delivery service that doesn't really cost much extra. It's worth tipping the driver. We have been working in our yard doing a lot of yardwork and didn't feel like going out. A nice bonus was the website said it would be 45 minutes for delivery and I think they delivered it within 20 minutes. What we ordered: Chicken wings Sweet potato fries Burger w/fries They do have good burgers. Kind of reminds me of the old A&W. Although this time the burger was a little more smashed than I like. Really nice size chicken wings, and the flavor was good. The only issue I have with this establishment besides it's a little pricey for a double burger and fries ... there tater tots, sweet potato fries, and french fries are not consistent. Three visits and each time one of the starches was undercooked. The first time was tater tots, they were mushy and oily. The second time I went in and sat at their table had a burger and fries and fries run cooked. The manager/owner was there and I brought them to his attention. I told him I didn't want any compensation as I was full, but I showed him the fries were not cooked. On this delivery, the sweet potato fries were mushy. I had to go to Lemmon Valley today came across Roy's burger shack stopped there and we both got a kids cheeseburger. It came with lettuce, tomato really good pickles and you could've had onions too along with 1000 island dressing. Trust me. This was really really good. Very small little restaurant very clean people. Heard about this place on Facebook, people were talking about how it's one of the best burgers in town, I gotta say they're right. The location is true to the name it's a small burger shack. Service was friendly, which is always great. We ordered two Roy's burgers, mozzarella sticks and some onion rings. The burgers were tasty! Hands down one of the best we've had in the Reno and north valleys area. The meat was actually seasoned, not dry but juicy full of flavor, veggies were fresh and crisp and the thousand island sauce brought the burger together. Totally recommend this one if you haven't tried it already! Onion rings tasted great, fried to perfection and not soggy like some Places serve them. The mozzarella sticks were also delicious and crisp. Overall I'd say if you're craving a burger without a long wait (took only about 10-15 minutes for all our food to come out) then this is the place for you. I've seen many ads for Roy's Burgers and decided to take a drive out there today. It's off of Lemmon Drive. It's a very tiny spot with six tables. Two employees in house today, a friendly counter person and a cook. The menu is limited but we went for the burger. We were allowed to order the child's burger as were seniors and can't eat a giant sandwich. And the child's burger with a basket of fries was more than plenty for us. The fries are delicious and they were generous with them. They're served with a side of ranch. The burger is on a fresh brioche bun and had lots of fresh toppings. You can choose what you want but I went for everything which included thousand Island dressing, tomato red onion lettuce and lots of yummy pickles. And cheese of course. The burger was very good and we were surprised at how tasty it was. They offer also a Philadelphia steak sandwich, couple other items that I probably would like to go back and try. Everything was served in about 5 minutes. The drinks are a selection of soft drinks in a refrigerator case. There are no fountain drinks. Overall great lunch today and the price was $14 for the child's burger which is the size of a normal burger at a lot of fast food places and the fries. read more

Roy's Grill is a brand new Hidden Treasure just off of Lemmon Drive in Lemmon Valley. The burger and fries were Five Star, customer service from Chef Letty was outstanding. We don't have a lot to choose from out in the north valleys area so I wanted to give this place a try. I ordered online for a pickup order.They had it made and ready to go within ten minutes, which is awesome! The burger was good and pretty filling, it was big! Next time I'd like to try the wings. They had their garment cleaner there when I arrived who threw the bag of dirty stuff out the door as I was walking in nearly hitting me. Maybe using the back door for that would be a better choice. My dad heard of this place on Facebook and wanted to try it out. I thought not much about until we went. This hole-in-the wall joint is awesome. The service was great and very nice. The food was fantastic with it definitely hitting the spot on a quiet holiday. If you need a good burger that will fill you up this is the place to go. Contrary to what I've been reading about this place, it's just plain GOOD! My wife and I agreed we had to know for ourselves so we grabbed lunch here today and were impressed by the cleanliness of the everything. Ordering was easy and food was quick. Packaged nicely too. I've been hearing about Roy's Grill for awhile now and we finally decided to try it. I don't know why we didn't do it before, Roy's is actually within walking distance of our home. We'd heard the food was really good, and they lied. The food was FANTASTIC. I got a mushroom Swiss burger and fries and it was incredible. I think this is my favorite mushroom Swiss burger in town. Juicy and full of flavor, the type you groan each time you take a bite, it's that delicious. Great fries. Hubby had the buffalo chicken po'boy and onion rings and loved it. It smelled extremely spicy (my nose tingled, lol!) but it wasn't as hot as he thought it might be. It was perfect. Son got the Roy's cheeseburger and tater tot's. Any restaurant that offers tots gets an instant thumbs up from him and he was very happy with his meal. Hubs picked it up and said the atmosphere looked cool, we need to go in and sit down next visit. Service was fast and friendly. My only complaint is that my burger was so good, and so close to home, I fear Roy's just started an addiction for me. I guess it's time to hit the gym preemptively! All in all the food was FABULOUS. The TL;DR is the burgers are good, filling, and not terribly expensive. Sides are largely disappointing, but the place is still finding its footing. Let's start with the food. I've had all the burgers on the menu, and they're pretty much exactly what you'd expect from reading the ingredient list on the menu. The mushroom swiss tastes of mushrooms and swiss. The Roy's burger (tomato, lettuce, thousand island) is essentially your proto-typical loaded burger. My favorite by a landside is the Western burger, which is sweet, salty, rich, and has the crunchy texture of the onion ring. All burgers/sandwiches come with fries, but are upgradeable to sweet potato fries or tater tots. I love the sweet potato fries, although they're all good. I also recommend the BLT on marbled rye. Ugh, the sides. Mozz sticks and fried pickles have seen some changes over time, and none of the iterations I've had were great. What's worse is that the surveyed customers can't agree on which ones they prefer. I just avoid the sides completely, which is fine since the burger and fries leaves me FULL every time. Portions are large and satisfying. Service is friendly and typically fast. Not really anything more to add here, it's a cashier and cook, sometimes not even that. What can I say about the ambiance? It's clearly a to-go location that has tables just-in-case. I would describe it as the interior of every Little Caesar's in existence. This does not factor in my review however, since I never dine in, just be advised if you're looking for a dine-in burger joint. To Roy's Grill's credit, it serves good burgers and fries at reasonable prices ($15-17) and is open fairly late, particularly on weekends. For people living in the North Valleys who are stuck paying $20 for fast food, it's a breath of fresh air. My only suggestion to the business would be find better quality sides. read more

I ordered delivery from this place. Originally it was suggested that I check out Royce burger but I misunderstood and ended getting food here instead and Im glad I did. I recently ate at royce and in my opinion Roys has the better burger. Since it was delivered I expected that the burger may be cold but was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I added mushrooms on top of a basic burger with tots instead of fries. Looking forward to eating here again and from my experience, would recommend this place. read more

I don't know how this place was competing for best burger in the Reno Gazette Journal competition. I arrived shortly after opening and ordered a cheeseburger and fries. There was only one person working and they indicated that they had a large order and couldn't take any more orders. (The small dining room was empty at the time.) read more
