My favorite is the Bacon & Blue but the Prospector is amazing and sometimes I just get the American burger.

The atmosphere is small and quaint and holds some history. Built in 1893 and at one time a wedding chapel. We enjoyed a few appetizers, on the happy hour menu that were quite good. And ended sharing the Barramundi with seasonal veggies. Super light not heavy and prepared perfectly. Lauren was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. She made sure we were taken care of, and everything came out in a timely manner. Definitely a spot we will go back to and I highly recommend.

I guess I needed to drink it faster! The apps were solid. The pretzel bites and beer cheese kicked ass and the hummus was excellent. So far so good. I ordered the 6oz. sirloin, medium rare, and boy did I learn my lesson. I've eaten here about 20-25 times and should have stuck with a burger or something that didn't require effort. That sirloin was so well done they must have cooked it twice. It was like eating a middle school burger with a knife and fork. This place is decent. Just stick to burgers and wraps and you'll be fine.

It was such a beautiful day.... where can we eat outside?…read more I found "The Spot", its in the old Smee's location on the river. When we showed up, we asked if we could sit at a table outside, the guy was a little overwhelmed, he said "I can sit you in 10 mins". I said "can we have this table". OK, but....just know I'll be with you as soon as I get caught up, I'm totally fine with that I said. . He bought us a couple menus to look over. Then a table on the railing with shade opened up, I didn't care about the table was dirty with dishes, so we decided to move. I love to look at the river and watch the people go by. The server said, I'll be over soon! He was never so happy when Sierra showed up to help him out. He came over to our table I said "I hope you don't mind, I moved to be in the shade, I know I'm one of those pain in the ass customers". Then he started joking with me and it was the perfect ice breaker. My server and part owner's name is Casey! He is an awesome guy and such a hard worker to ensure his customers are taken care of. I love that. We had a couple beers, he has quite the selection of beers on tap, he supports the community breweries such as Lead Dog and Revisions. My husband had the breakfast burrito $13, it was huge with homemade tortilla chips with salad and guacamole. I had the fish and chips. You get three large pieces of fish, fries and yummy coleslaw. I love how they put the tater sauce and ketchups in personal cups for you that shows class. My fish was absolutely delicious better than the old Smees and especially the new location. You get a nice meal for $20. They have indoor, outdoor, bar seating. They have a little merch area and a gaming bar if you feel lucky. I know the Open Championship Bowlers are in town, if you're looking for nice comfort food "tavern style" location this is the place for you on the Reno Riverwalk 50 N Sierra. It upstairs.

I was definitely in the mood to try something new. After some searching The Spot is what caught our eye. Located by the river and where Reef and Smees used to be. including what you ordered or used, Since this was a new spot we decided to just order and share a ton of appetizers. This included: cup of cream of mushroom soup, pretzel bites, spinach dip, poutine fries and Brussel sprouts. 2/5 were a huge hit where the orders we would not try again. Cup of mushroom soup: cup size is a good appetizer portion, good mushroom taste but WAY too salty. Would not order again. Pretzel bites: SUPER YUM! Slightly crunchy at the corners and fluffy inside. Perfectly bite sized and great dips (cheese and mustard). Loved these and would absolutely order again. Spinach dip: not a fan. The one thing I did like about this is that the dip portion was extremely generous, but I was not a fan of the taste. For me it was like slightly watered down sour cream. You have the options of chips or baguette. We went with baguette and for the first time in my life, the dipping vessels were very scant compared to the amount of dip so if anyone orders this, I would recommend it with chips. Would not order again. Poutine fries: YUM! Definitely a shareable portion. Thin fries topped with yummy breaded cheese curds and piping hot gravy this was my favorite thing. The gravy was perfectly salted and I loved the breaded cheese curds. I do wish the fries were thicker, like a wedge cut but honestly these were insanely good. Will order again. Brussel sprouts: made with bacon which is always a must for that yummy flavor. Also drizzled with balsamic which is a win in my book. These were very tender and delicious but very oily or greasy which kind of gave me the ick but flavor was definitely there. Will not order again. We were seated immediately upon arriving and waters were brought out. Orders were taken quickly and food came out quick! However after the food came out, no one came to check on us, see how we were doing or clear plates. We were always having to flag someone down for refills, napkins and the check. It wasn't busy. The inside is clean, has a large bar area and outdoor seating. Also lots of TVs. I don't think I'll be returning, but I do recommend the poutine fries and pretzel bites. Things to note: Have to walk up stairs to enter. No private parking lot, have to street park and a lot of parking is metered. 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Saturday & free on Sundays / holidays.

Surprisingly, the restaurant was only about one-third full on a Friday evening. After chatting with our server, we learned the menu features staple items along with a few seasonal additions. The prime rib and the beef Wellington immediately caught our attention. We also added a slider as an appetizer and ordered Brussels sprouts as an extra side with our entrées. While I'm personally not the biggest fan of beef Wellington, it was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. My prime rib was also cooked exactly as requested, and the au jus served with it was uniquely delicious -- more like a rich, reduced syrup that packed an incredible amount of flavor. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Overall, it's definitely a great spot for celebrations and special occasions.

Our reservation was set for 6pm, we arrived a few minutes early and were sat right away. Our table was located in the back by the kitchen which was an expensive all by it self. Our waitress greeted us right away. She explained what the drink special were and dinner specials. We order our drinks first. I order a glass of Mumm champagne and my husband order their new age Smokey old fashion. Our friends order a gin and tonic and a Smokey old fashion. The Smokey old fashions were served to us table side. What a great experience this was. Then, we moved to ordering our appetizers. I ordered the Lamb pops and my husband order the tuna tartar. Our friend ordered the same thing as well. The appetizers were out of this world. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the tuna had the most beautiful red color. The flavors were amazing. Next, we ordered a Caesar salad to split. The dress was fantastic. Finally, we order our entree. My husband order the pork chops and I order the salmon. Our friends both order the beef Wellington. Between the texture and favorite our entree were fantastic. Ramsay's Kitchen set the stage for us to want more. We already made our next reservation for June.

It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed the outside patio dining with our dog. They took our order quickly and the burgers came out pretty quick as well, within 30 min or so. The burger had plenty of caramelized onions, which I'm a huge fan of, and everything was packed with flavor. The wait for the food was about an hour, but it was well worth it in the end. Also, don't miss the extra seating tucked away behind the bar if the front looks full. I also opted for their house michelada paired with a shot for $8 (I believe), which was a great deal. Another nice touch was their frequent visitor stamp card. I'll definitely be back and plan on trying the chicken wings next time. I saw so many people ordering them, and they looked absolutely delicious. Royce has a great atmosphere, great food, and easily earned a return visit from me.

I will start by saying my sandwich and beer were tasty and good. They will boast all local ingredients, but 30 bucks for a cheese steak on ciabatta bread is steep. The burger my wife had was the same price and nothing special to note exept she ordered no tomato and it came with tomato. Both of our fries were soggy and cold. A draft beer for 16 dollars is also more than expected. Our bartender was professional and chatty. He did pull a nice bottle of tequila down for us to admire, and told us about some other fancy top shelf stuff they had. I appreciate they were even open. Service was great, everyone looked taken care of. The place looked clean; and the food looked great everywhere, ours just flopped. All of the other patrons there were probably late 50s and up at 2pm on Memorial day. This is one of the most expensive underwhelming lunches I've had ever had in Reno. I am sure if we had said something they would have given us new fries, but that isnt the point. You have a price set well above average so I expect that it will be executed suprbly.
