Stars aligned and I was able to try out Reno's best cheesesteak sandwiches. They did not disappoint. Steak chopped and cooked perfectly, nice and tender. Cheese sauce flavor and texture perfect. Put together it was just like being in Philly. If you're close recommend stopping by and indulging. Got the regular size which was generous, don't think I could finish a large.

    Here for the goodies!

Still the BEST Cheesesteak in Reno/Sparks/Tahoe. They are always packed with whole lotta meat! If you are like me and add the veggies and bacon, those sideshow items are at the bottom where they belong, as this is a CHEESESTEAK first and foremost. Staff is still excellent and fast.

Super excited to try this place. I heard a rumor that the owners used to work at a local cheesesteak place I loved that closed down. My wife follows thier Facebook page for locations so I stopped by today. I ordered a 10 inch cheesesteak with peppers, onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese plus a side of onion rings for $26 total. Decent amount of meat and veggies, the bread was soft and had a nice chew to it but unfortunately the "Swiss" cheese they use is either a canned sauce or the processed white American cheese and there is a lot of it. It's coated everything so all I taste is processed cheese. I was so disappointed that I drove across town, spent $26 and all I got was a great looking cheesesteak that tastes like processed crap. At least the onions rings were good. Be warned if you don't like processed cheese, ask for no cheese. I am going to make sure to order no cheese next time.

Is this business related to the Original Philly Cheese Steaks on Kitzke ?...

Only in the sense that the owner of the food truck used to work there, and was inspired by that experience to start her own cheesesteak business.

Joe was wonderful and agreed to take on the task of providing the food for 60-80 friends and family members. I had a good friend pick up 7 large trays of food which included BBQ chicken, rice, spam fried rice, Mac salad, green salad mix (with wontons and dressing on the side) and potstickers. The food was ready on time and was able to be set up right before the reception began. The food was amazing and several attendees had never heard of or had Kenji's. The spam fried rice was the big hit and almost all of it was eaten. Several attendees were impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. Thanks to Kenji's the reception was very good given the circumstances, it definitely turned out better than the port of subs we had discussed prior to talking to Joe.

Thankfully to my surprise, it was the reflection of the barbershop next door and the restaurant had patrons but not swamped! I ordered two pork tacos, with a side of mac salad and a diet coke, which came out $11 after tip and tax. What a steal! The pork was tender and the size of the mac salad was generous. They include sesame seeds and julienne carrots to their mac salad, which I liked, but others may not. Several more people came in and ordered after me, so for a Thursday afternoon is was steady. I will definitely be back to try out more menu items.
