Fifth star for doing it all at no charge to their clients. An easy: High-5 star rating and I recommend. Meals on Wheels, a nationwide Federal government-funded program administered by non-profits and municipal counties, is a very valuable service to my family as neither my husband or I being elderly can be trusted anymore to cook meals from scratch due to fire or burn hazard (one or both of us taking a nose-dive onto a hot range-top or placing a hand on the hot range-top when we have balance issue so we're now banned from using the range-top or oven). I am now only trusted to warm up a meal in the microwave. For now, I ride the bus to use the Congregate Meal Program https://www.washoecounty.gov/seniorsrv/nutrition/congregate.php at the Reno Senior Center (which I'll write a review about later). Meals on Wheels - Washoe County Senior Services delivers meals once a week for my elderly disabled Veteran husband. Meals on Wheels delivers weekly one hot meal, one cold meal, six frozen meals, one half-gallon 1% milk, and three fresh fruits. These meals are tasty, nutritionally balanced, have whole grains, include a couple servings of cookies, and are nicely varied. Ingredients are listed on a paper insert in the box the meals are delivered in. So far there has been no msg in the meals (an allergy that runs in our family). We clients are visited by a Washoe County Senior Services program staff to be certified regarding the need for service. We program participants are re-certified periodically. No charge for meals or delivery to qualified individuals. Delivery drivers wear health masks for the safety of the clients and are very very polite, professional and respectful. Always support the Meals on Wheels Federal government-funded program because it also serves some 500,000 of we elderly or disabled Veterans every year.

I do think the drinks, namely the water, is on the more expensive side with it being about $4 per bottle of water. With that being said, it's an easy fix to just bring your own if you plan on hanging outside for a while. They have a code on the bottom of every receipt for a survey on your experience, and if you take the survey you get a free classic cookie. It can be taken one and over again, but it has a wait period of like a week between each survey. It's pretty reliable for a snack at midnight and it's always been a cozy place to check in and sit outside on Summer nights. I have a lot of good memories going here. The staff are always pretty friendly and patient from what I've experienced, and I really have no complaints. The parking in the area is pretty rough, but it's not really the companies fault. Parking is pretty bad near the UNR campus, so sometimes you would have to take quite a hike to go there while also parking legally.

He kept going back-and-forth between what he wanted how much he wanted to spend and what flavors he wanted. He took a very long time. It seemed like he was going to make a fairly large order, but he ended up only ordering two items. I don't know what all that commotion and chaos and fuss were about if all he ordered were two things. We stood in line for quite a while as the cashier didn't seem to have anybody in the store to help relieve him. And even then, when we did see other employees in the store, they were talking and goofing around. I don't know if they were on their break, but it didn't make for a very good look. My family and I, we were a party of three. Each of us ordered an item. As we were waiting to place our order, several other people came in after us. One of them was on the phone. She was so incessantly and unnecessarily loud. It bothered me so much that I asked her to be quiet. Of course, to be even more obnoxious, she got louder. Ughh! I'd really hoped that this review was going to be more about the store and not its other customers. But, they also helped to make our experience what it was. The store was clean. The line was out the door. You must understand, this store is so small that you really can't have more than 4-5 ppl in here before it's full. The menu is clearly posted above the cashier's area. I felt for the 1 guy at the register. This visit was not really what I had hoped it'd be. I doubt I'll return next time we're in town.
