    Turkish tea
    Reema S.

This unassuming Turkish spot in the heart of Sheepshead Bay is dishing out some of the best food Ive had in a minute. On a long drive from the airport home, I decided to pop in and check out this beloved local Turkish spot known for dishing out, elaborate and amazing pide. I wasn't sure what to order so the cashier was friendly enough to recommend a few things, I went with the meat lovers. As I waited for my delightful oblong pizza to be baked, I was treated with the utmost Turkish hospitality and offered a cup of tea. I also picked up the baklava here, because it looked very promising. Honestly, the pide did not disappoint, it was chock full of vegetables and meat, and the cheese ratio was just absolutely perfect. Despite being such a huge baked item, it wasn't too heavy or doughy, which I appreciated and surprisingly because I was hungry I was able to demolish the whole thing in one sitting without feeling sick to my stomach. The baklava was also very good, heavy on the pistachio, which is just how I like it. Tea was served piping hot, and I enjoyed sipping on it as I veered out the window on a beautiful spring day. This is the spot to grab your slice of Turkish nostalgia. 10/10.

This is my third time here I can tell you without a doubt the food, ambiance and customer service all are top notch. Made reservation of 7:45 but got there by 7:30 and since it was not crowded we took a nice 4 person table. We ordered the pineapple and strawberry smoothie, spicy chicken pesto toast, spicy chicken bbq pizza, large fries on the side, ginger ale, small cappuccino, small Turkish tea and kunefe. The Turkish tea was on the house, we also ordered spicy chicken panini to go but were instead given bbq chicken pizza which was a honest mistake by the server and I let him know about that which they apologized for but I will give them five stars for excellence in all other things. Highly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone. Can't wait to come here again .

Honestly the paninis are fantastic. Soft, flavorful, and warm paninis are made fresh and served in a pizza box. They are massive and can feed 2 people! Their special panini with beef and lamb is delicious with all the veggies also included. They give a hot nice sauce that is not too hot along with ranch on the side. This might be the beet panini I've ever had, and I completely understand how this is a 5.0 restaurant. I will come here again fir sure. Staff are super friendly as well.

Super comfy experience at the sweetest new café in town!! My boyfriend and I saw that they opened up 10 days ago, and finally got a chance to dine in. We didn't know what to expect with a brand new spot, but we were determined to taste enough to reeeallly know ;) And they're awesome! You have to get the freshly brewed turkish tea. We ordered the Beef Soundjouk Cheese Pide(Karisik) and it was soooo delish with kashkaval cheese and cripy bottom. The feta roll was also incredible. 10/10 will be back for chill study sessions with a great ambience and delicious pastries. Can't wait to try the baklava.

The food was very delicious and the place has very nice seating. We stayed for over an hour. The waitresses were very nice, but I would say the service is a little slow. We also got a mint lemonade, which was delicious. The prices aren't bad considering the serving size. You can definitely share.

Superb little eatery/cafe in Brooklyn. Very clean. Great service. Turkish are simply the sweetest people. The server recommend this burger and it did not disappoint. The bun was fresh and the meat was juicy. The presentation was appealing. I ordered a large cappuccino which was strong just the way I like. Will surely come again.

Never was a huge fan of Turkish food until today! This goes beyond what we've ever had before, and the food is made with such attention to detail and much love. I had to try the Lahmacun, as The NY Times raved about this dish. It's perfectly seasoned minced meat and vegetables with tomato, herbs on top of a perfectly crispy and thin Turkish type bread. My description probably isn't doing this dish the justice it deserves, but trust me, it's amazing and addictive. We also ordered the chicken pesto and bbq chicken wraps which we enjoyed very much as well! You can literally taste the freshness of every ingredient and love in each bite. Delivery was flawless with all items packaged carefully and everything arrived nice and hot. I'm very impressed with this place and looking forward to trying more of their offerings, such as pide and pistachio baklava for dessert. I'm kicking myself for not getting that tonight, but there's always next time!

I tried looking up this pizza from Target Richfield for a review, but it sent me to the NYC location, so forgive me if this review is in the wrong thread. Anyway, wow. I've been to New York City and ate at the original Joe's Pizza. What an epic slice of pizza. Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

Dom has now passed but his legacy continues. I've always compared the then pie vs now. And like most things,, nothing beats the original. This is still a very good slice. We ordered a whole pie half plain and half pepperoni, which is only $2.50 more. What I notice right away is the zesty tomato sauce, which Has love. However, I must admit that the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Yes! It was crispy, but biting through it was somewhat difficult. Overall a good slice, but maybe the dough was off a bit that day. Regardless, Luigi's Pizza is an institution and I will be back again next time I'm in the area. Many pizzas do not reheat well due to rubbish cheese- not L&B- pop it in the oven around 400°F, and let it crisp back up! Also- the Spumoni- it keeps at a nice consistency in the freezer, unlike rubbish American ice cream- which gets like a rock. The only other Spumoni I buy is from Corona. They're both phenomenal in their respective rights. When asked by non-NY'ers which pizza is my favourite- this is number one for Sicilian- not heavy at all. The crust is light, airy, and flavourful. The cheese to sauce ratio is perfect- not swimming in greasy cheap cheese. I have the same standards for Neapolitan Pizza. We can discuss that elsewhere. Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
