Tomahawk, Brussel Sprouts, and Baked Potato
    Nicholas K.

3.5: To be located inside such luxurious hotel with amazing view outside, you expect excellent experience on the night of your vacation. Positives: Bison(?) Tomahawk was unexpectedly soft and tender with good amounts of fat. The use of roasted whole black garlic was an excellent choice. It enhances the flavor more with crispy brussel sprouts. You may start to feel heavy with such use of oil, but the spicyness of the chili inside the brussel sprouts and baked potato kicks it away gently. I recommend the 3 plates ordered together. Upgrades: You are greeted by a server with such strong cologne that erases your appetite everytime he passes by. Also, to be mentioned in the signature menu, it is almost rude to throw a bag of Fritos chip on a plate. As simple as dumping the chips next to the plate has more finesse.

Excellent pretzel & veal schnitzel! We were staying up at Bear Paw and came over to Ritz for our final night.

The kind of quality, and pricing, that you would expect from a Ritz Carlton restaurant. I was unsure of ordering the poke, it was $26, but my husband told me to go with it. I'm glad I did! The poke was tender it melted in my mouth. It was really spicy but I handled the heat like a pro. Overall great service, great food. Can't give it the 5th star because I don't believe my poke, wine and tip was a $50+ meal.

Really enjoyed the ambiance. The social distancing made me feel safe. I did not post pic of nachos but they were amazing!!! And the burger was also excellent.

Great performer Don Watson sang his heart out taking our requests from Denver to the Beatles.

Beautiful location and ambiance! Casual but lux. Gracious staff from the valet parking to our waiter. The whole evening felt magical! Crazy though, our starter was the humble deviled egg! Not upscale, just basic, but good. I ordered the Duck Confit salad and did not walk away hungry! More than I could eat! Very savory and very salty! Being keto though, it was perfect. Hubs ordered the Bison Burger based on the raves here on Yelp, so I won't elaborate, but he said it was juicy and tasty, and my gift bite was melt-in-your-mouth awesomeness. Pricey though, must say we've never paid $24 for a burger before. After dinner we joined the crowd in the lobby for an amazing, talented concert by Don Watson, a Saturday night regular that does a 4 hour show of talent beyond your dreams! This guy rocks! His guitar and voice skills mesmerize as he takes request after request from John Denver to the Beatles. He belts out Italian and Spanish and has been known to even play at big venues in Australia. Ritz Carlton, you are amazing! Our evening with you was tops!

Very disappointing food. Far too much salt on everything. This is not what I expect at a Ritz Carlton

We walked in and it appeared to be a quiet night, we could see the bar was pretty empty. The hostess asked if we were staying at the hotel and we said no, we were dropping by for cocktails and wished to sit outside. She told us we could sit inside at a couch area by the entrance. One of our friends walked through the bar and noticed the fire pit seating areas were available and asked a server if we could sit there instead. She looked at us and said she would have to ask the hostess if any were available. Clearly they were and they didn't want our group sitting there for some reason. The bar was practically empty so not sure what the issue would be, perhaps it was because we were not hotel guests. After not getting back to us we just sat ourselves outside. Our server was Nivas. Nivas was not overly friendly but she was attentive. We ordered a couple rounds of cocktails. They were pricy but good. The fire pit tables are very nice. If you can sit outside at a fire pit I would recommend doing so.

Such a relaxing but chic spot to enjoy a meal after being out in the mountains. Our waitress was not overbearing and gave us enough time between bites to take it all in. She also made sure we got the full experience with the hot chocolate to marvel at its glory! The food was excellent, but the butternut squash soup was truly outstanding. It had a beautiful natural sweetness with a subtle hint of apple that made the flavor feel layered and comforting, and the pepitas added the perfect little crunch. It was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. We also ordered the hummus, which tasted incredibly fresh and crisp, light, bright, and perfectly refreshing alongside the richer dishes. But the real star of the experience was the hot chocolate. It was absolutely decadent and comforting, easily one of the best cups of hot chocolate I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and the perfect treat in a snowy Vail setting. Overall, Remedy Bar delivers a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and a cozy mountain-luxury experience. I would absolutely recommend stopping in if you're visiting Vail.

**15/10; iconic, must be protected at all costs**…read more My girlfriend and I are in Vail for the weekend to watch dogs jump into water, as one does. We're staying at the Grand Hyatt, which has been... fine. Meh, if we're being honest. A local recommended Mountain Standard, so we tried to make a reservation on OpenTable and quickly learned they were booked solid until tomorrow (a great data point, btw). But, being the swarthy pirates that we are, we showed up anyway; and thank sweet baby Jesus, we found two seats at the bar. Our barkeep, Gummow, a fellow swarthy pirate, was excellent in every possible way. His bar back, Rowan, could not have been a better support man. Together, they delivered the kind of service that makes you remember why hospitality is an art form. And the food? Absolutely to die for. My girlfriend had the oxtail, and I had the mock paella. Both were incredible. The service, the food, the environment; every facet was dialed in. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch, possibly dinner, and possibly to inquire about monthly rent. As a former service industry worker myself, real recognize real. This place and these people are it. Mountain Standard is iconic and must be protected at all costs.

This place is popular as we walked by 45 minutes before and already a bunch waiting as they have great creek side seating for maybe 6 tables. If being a tourist you should walk by and check in for waiting list seating as this place can be crowded. We came early and sat in the bar and I found it pretty hospitable the bar staff especially Rohan was great and helped pick some local whiskey. Got seated when our guest arrived with great seating. The food was good although not memorable as what I expected. Hard to compare as one of my first times at Beaver Creek Village. I can definitely see dropping by the bar as I'm sure there wouldn't be the wait needed for tables

First off, the most notable thing about this experience was the genuinely most amazing waitress I think I have ever encountered, Grace. Grace was the kindest soul, she took such amazing care of us and went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Me and my family will go out to eat now and say "she was good but not as good as Grace". Second off, The food was AMAZING per usual. I had the Wagyu steak and it was cooked perfectly, I usually hate going out for steak because I find it to never be seasoned as much as I'd like but this took the cake. The blue cheese dip with chips was so delicious, like possibly one of the best things we have ever tasted. We also tried to carrot cake sorbet which I know sounds odd but it was so delicious, you can tell the kitchen staff puts their heart and soul into this food. My husband got the special, which was like a Turkish ricotta stuffed pasta and it was AMAZING. Even my sister who got the wagyu burger, AMAZING. My only critique was the hostess was very rude to my family for no reason when we walked in which almost turned my parents off from trying to the most amazing restaurant. Luckily, the service got amazing after that. Everyone was so kind and helping everyone, just a great atmosphere. They also had the Knicks game playing which was great haha. I can't wait to come back next summer for my favorite meal despite living states away we will always make it back to The Pullman.

I started with the pickled deviled eggs - little vinegar taste with a slightly sweet filling is a perfect combination. 10/10 The Steak Tartare is unlike any tartare I've ever had before. It comes on this homemade tater-tot that's shaped kind of like a piece of bread or a cracker. I wasn't expecting it, but it made the dish. There is some sort of sauce drizzled, which tastes like an egg yolk base. I scraped it with my fork so I could eat all of it! So delicious! Finished with the Pierogies. Handmade, thin wrappers with perfect, delicious filling. It comes in a bowl with an amazing sauce I couldn't get enough of. I literally used a spoon to drink it! If you're in town, get a reservation - they are very busy!!! It's worth it!

Walking in on a cold February day, the mood and ambiance were warm and inviting. The downstairs bar was lively, and the wood ceiling and decor definitely gave off a classic aged lodge feel. We were seated upstairs per our Yelp reservations. A collection of canteens hung on the wall, which sparked a fun conversation and history lesson for my twins. Since they're part of the CamelBak and Stanley cup generation, they hadn't seen anything like them before. My son was impressed by the size of the kids' burger, and the fries were great. The rest of us had the NY Strip. I'd say it was good, but not great--though I did appreciate the blackened seasoning and the chimichurri. The grilled asparagus, however, was simply fantastic. The showstopper was the upside-down apple pie with what seemed to be homemade vanilla ice cream. Both were generous portions and kindly comped by our server for my birthday. I ordered my standard Ranch Water, though it unfortunately didn't come in their traditional canteen cup. Overall, it's a great spot. I look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Colorado.

I received the complete opposite impression as soon as we sat down... The sign said see the host stand to be seated, so as we were making our way over there a nice young man told us to pick any table we would like. My cousin said the river view was very pretty, so we chose a table with that view. That table, along with a few others, had not been cleared/cleaned yet (which we didn't have a problem with but apparently they did). We sat down and a very rude server came over and essentially asked why we were sitting at a dirty table and that they have a system with the host desk. We said we didn't mind, but again they seemed to have a problem - because she walked away and the bar tender came over and asked if we checked in with anyone. She also seemed to have a problem with the fact that we sat at a dirty table! And then a third server came over and said "Can I get you anything else to drink besides a dirty table?" At that point, we just left. One rude encounter, okay, but 3 different people?? Absolutely unacceptable. We will never be eating there again and I will be telling my family to do the same.
