Just tried out the Round Rock location, accidentally on training night! We had a spicy with cheese and a double with cheese and both were juicy and delicious. We liked how crisp the fries were and enjoyed a chocolate shake and mango lemonade. The shake could have used a tad more chocolate and we noticed a hint of cinnamon in the vanilla base. The mango lemonade was very sweet but once we let the ice melt a bit it was perfect! Will definitely be back to try the beer and frozen selections at the Round Rock location! read more

I stumbled upon buddy's while looking for a burger option that wasn't Whataburger or p terry and wow, what a game changer. so good, my roommate and her partner went that week, then I took my partner the next week and between us four, we are all there weekly at some point. The spicy double with the seasoned fries and mango lemonade has never lead us astray. Service is quick and courageous both drive through and dining in. They do have some tvs and beer options for those wanting to watch some sports but I wouldn't consider it a sports bar / stick around for hours type of place but that's just me. read more

This place is very spacious with very delicious burgers! I found this on a whim and I am so glad I did. This will definitely be my go-to spot when I want a fresh quick burger. The menu is very simple like P Terry's so you won't really have to be indecisive. The burger is so flavorful and fresh. Everything was perfect and the size was decent too. We also got the lemonade and it's seems pretty popular as other people in the restaurant all ordered it. It was interesting and worth a try. We also tried the shake and that was super good too. The mexican vanilla was definitely a little more sweet than I'd like. I would want to try the oreo next time. I love how you can get the fries seasoned and it was very tasty. It's adds a little bit something than the normal fries. I recommend all of the foods that I tried! I love how there are plenty of parking spots and the building had large glass windows so it gives a lot of light when dining inside. It was not super crowded and they have a drive thru. The ambience is nice and clean. The place is right next to a gas station and this area is not an area I typically go to. The burgers here are next level. Not only are they delicious, but a Double Classic with Cheese is only $6 and some change. It really doesn't get much better than this. The only sad part is that it's a 30 minute drive for us, which might be a good thing because I'd be broke and fat if it were any closer. My wife ordered the Buddy's Spicy with Cheese, while my son and I both ordered the Double classic with Cheese. The Spicy option comes with Monterey Jack Cheese, grilled onions and jalapeños, with a spicy sauce. So DANK. We also ordered the seasoned fries and a Chocolate milk shake. If you're okay with being locked out of the restaurant before you get your milk shake this is the place. If being denied being let back in for your milk shake sounds nice, this is the place. I've worked in fast food before, I have no problem being patient, and understanding that drive through is busy. 10 minutes after we ordered, My bf stood at the counter for our order, for about 20 min before a cook come out and asked him what he needed. Took him 3mins to make something we waited for, for a total of 30min. Lovely. Me and my bf initially sat outside bc it was quiet. After our meal, we ordered 2 milkshakes. Having some food left over, I waited with our stuff outside, while he waited inside (thinking it would take 5min or so) Realizing they were closing I tried to come in and throw away our trash, use the restroom and wait with my bf inside. There was a lady working behind the counter who mouthed and made the jester "no" and made the jester that the doors are locked. I had been holding my pee waiting outside for my bf for a long time already I think it's interesting that she was very quick to look me in the eye and jester "no" when my bf stood in front of the counter for 20 mins and no one looked in his direction. Ok, so from the service to the food and the atmosphere, everything here is quality for sure! The service from the get-go was amazing. The guy at the register even gave us a sample of the different fries to see what the difference was. The menu is simple, but effective. Burgers are smash-burger style with a nice bun to meat ratio. The fries are seasoned well, and perfectly compliment the burger. The shakes are great for a delicious sweet treat after the meal. Is it a mind-blowing burger? No. But is it a burger where, when you're in a conversation, you can say, "oh man! You have to check out Buddy's Burger. It was awesome!"? Yes. It's that. There were no shades in the windows so every seat facing out was towards the sun and it was also hot inside. The hamburgers were good, I decided to try the season fries and they were ok. The buns are soft and sweet (think Hawaiian bread). The burgers are juicy and tasty, albeit on the thin side (recommend a double). I got a single patty, and my guy a double. We both liked the flavor. All burgers come with lettuce, tomato, and Buddy's smack sauce- which is a mayonnaise-based sauce. I'm sure you can special order other ingredients or remove what you don't want. I got shoestring, seasoned fries with my burger. The seasoning is like Tony Chachere's, kind of cajun, which I enjoy. You can get them without seasoning as well. The counter service was prompt, friendly, and informative. The dining area was clean and spacious. They have outdoor seating as well as drive thru service. We tried Buddy's because it was close to some errands I needed to run, but I think it's worth going out of your way for if you want to skip a "chain burger joint".
