You have to make sure you have cash. This is a cash only restaurant. The staff are alright. The service was fast. We got our meals in under 10 minutes. I had the beef brisket. Its ok. I had better tasting brisket from No. 1 Beef Noodle House. We also ordered Curry Chicken. This was tasty. The Salty Peppery Chicken are the best. The portions are very and the prices are reasonable. Post club joint or casual tea fare whatever it is the place for good food quickly and pretty good selection of teas and slushies to boot. From experience this isn't the slow service, hot and humid, floor sticky, washroom reeks bubble world I used to know, something happened! Wow what a new page. The seating wait was tolerable like less than 5 minutes on a near full house. I saw the taro slush with a cookie hanging from the top waiting to be seating at and i'm like "yup! thats gonna be my drank". The service was amazingly quick. We ordered as soon as possible because we were hungry. My matcha slush oreo came in a flash. Chicken nuggets were like boneless wings. I was sure for a moment they were the wrong order but its classic nugget in spices. Big changes big portions me likey!!! Friend ordered the fried fish fillet on rice was huge! 1-2-3-4!!! Pieces of fish with sides and large ladle of sw sour sauce almost didn't finished, infact he struggles as he almost throws in the towel after epic finish now the awaiting food coma. Pretty good bubble tea. Standard for Vancouver. Just enough tea and milk without being overwhelming. What's really amazing about this place is the food. Oh man. I could eat the wontons in chili sauce forever. I wish I could have taken a picture but I devoured it before I could... Writing about it is dangerous as I work in Burnaby and am very tempted to drive there after work tomorrow... This place is really, really good. Still one of the best bubble tea places in Vancouver. Consistent with the quality of pearls which is very important...soft, chewy, and a little bit of sweetness. I did notice they have a new product - pearl noodle. Wasn't in the mood to try it but I imagine it's the same thing shaped slightly different. Maybe I'll try it next time if it's still available. This location is a restaurant so lots of cheap eats to choose from as well. I had the Taiwanese braised rice noodles with minced pork and dried shrimp. Loved it. Looks quite plain but the noodles have absorbed all the delicious broth so every bite is just as good! Like a lot of Asian places though, it's cash only so come prepared! read more

I come here a lot, but never really did a review. So here we go, first review. When coming here, the first thing you noticed is that it's quite packed for sure. It's usually very busy especially at evenings and you would have to wait to be seated. Luckily, the waiting time was just 5-10 minutes. The food was okay! I would say the best part is really the atmosphere. It feels very lively and casual. Good for family/friends hang out. The food though, is okay. But the price is not bad. Nice renovations! It is cleaner looking and more organized. They have like a bubble tea maker area and a sitting area. They have glass bubbles on the wall and it looks colourful. I came to visit for the fresh fruit strawberry banana slush. It was so good! I can taste the strawberry flavour and slight banana taste. I ordered half-sugar and it is still pretty sweet so this is a healthier choice than getting regular sugar. My friend likes their milky tea with regular sugar and pearls. They have a lot of different varieties of bubble tea like slushes, ice-cream, milk, tea...etc. There's never something that I crave that they don't have, which is great! The price is always at a good decent price for bubble tea, everything is always below $5. Which is great! Unlike some other places that charges $6+ for bubble tea.. it's not worth it. The other curious thing is the side dish of potatoes with mayonnaise - this was honestly a bit strange, as it tastes like something you'd find during Thanksgiving, but without the gravy. This time I have a pork&cabbage, deep fried wonton and a milk tea with bubbles. Every thing was delicious besides the sauce of DF wonton. The sauce taste a bit smelly, like a smelly tofu. I don't know that's because a rot or a specialty!? So I have to eat the wonton without sauce. And the pork& cabbage was a bit salty from my perspectives. The second time, I tried the small hot pot. The waitress named Nicola was so rude to me since I got the wrong order. She blamed me not to ask her for repeating the order and she was mad at me because she had to re-make a new order for me. I usually order the matcha or red bean bubble tea slush and the portion is quite large. The flavours are very sweet and the pearls are cooked nicely. As for the food, I definitely recommend ordering any of their noodle soups! This time I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup which had perfectly cooked noodles, soft beef, and a soup rich in spice & flavour. Some of the combos come with fried chicken nuggets, squid etc. You can't go wrong as they are salty + crunchy, however their fried foods are greasy. A gang of us went to Riverway driving range last night. After hitting 75 balls we went for some bbt and snacks. A few of my friends suggested Bubble World. I think I've had bbt here before but it has always been ordered to go. This is the first time I actually went inside sat at a table and had food here. Bubble World is a loud and crowded hang out joint for a parade of young Asians to look and to be seen! How do you know you're getting old? Anytime you start complaining that restaurants and cafes are loud and noisy! Haha The bbt was alright. I ordered a chocolate mint bbt. This place is always packed so if you come here with a party of more than 5, it may be difficult to get seated right away. The bubble tea here is good quality. My favorite thing to order always is the Warm Taro milk tea with coconut jelly. The food here is not bad, but probably not Hong Kong authentic, its a bit more westernized. We always end up ordering the deep fried squid with the fried chicken wings. Squid is delicious, but the chicken wings are inconsistent. At times they may be too salty, and other times they dont have enough seasoning. But they are always spot on with the right amount of crunch they've got to them. Keep in mind that they only accept cash here, so no credit or debit as a payment option. The service here is alright but not the greatest. Its tough to get your servers attention because they are so busy with other tables, and they aren't the friendliest, but efficient nonetheless. read more

Me and my girlfriend love to come here after a great night workout. Since it is open until late it is our go-to eatery. We really love the hours since we can come at night and not worry about it being closed. It lets us satisfy our boba cravings late at night since it is open until late. We really love its hours it lets us order our go-to snacks past midnight. Our go-to options on the menu are salty peppery chicken nuggets and beef noodle soup, accentuated with a good tall glass of mango slush with milk and pearls, and a mango green tea with pearls. The beef noodle soup is very diverse, you can order it spicy or non-spicy, or even without the beef. Forewarning, it was very salty. SALT ALERT. The salty peppery nuggets on the other hand, are really true to their namesake. However, do not fret friends as it is not overly salty nor peppery but the right amount of salty and peppery resulting in a good succulent nugget of chicken that rivals even McDonald's classic chicken nuggets, another midnight favourite of ours. read more

They have a fairly large menu and a huge array of teas, slushies, and bubble tea drinks. It's definitly a good place to come for a late night meal. We came here after the Vancouver Canada day fireworks show because all of us were pretty hungry. It took us a while to decide where to go. Our options were pretty much bubble tea or pho. So bubble tea it is! This place is usually packed and there is usually a small wait to get a table. Last time I was here, which was ages ago, I seem to remember there being more tables, so the place was always crowded. It looks like they decided to take some tables away so there is more room to walk and maneuver around. For my late night meal I ordered the salty, peppery chicken with rice. It came with two small side dishes, one with their own version of kimchi. It had broccoli in it, which was interesting but good. The other side dish was scrambled egg with tomatoes. I eat this quite often at home so was happy to see it here. The main was pretty good. It was a bowl of fried chicken bits that were heavily peppered and salted with a side of rice with black sesame seeds on top. For my drink I ordered a lychee slush without the bubbles because the company I was with reminded me of the news not to long ago that the bubbles had cancer causing agents in them. Okay food, horrible service . I have never dined in this location until yesterday and now I know why! First off there was a tiny piece of plastic in my bubble tea and there was a piece of hair in the shrimp & egg fried rice we had ordered! I didn't bother to tell the staff as she was already very rude seating us . I always go to the bubble world on Robson and the staff are friendly and the quality of the drinks are always consistent. I usually don't mid the place. I always go here for bubble tea and salty peppery chicken nuggets. I decided to go for something different, I ordered the Chicken Knee. My friend and I were done our drinks and the nuggets he ordered, my chicken knee still hasn't arrived. Waitresses were too busy doing other things. No follow up, hard to flag them down. Asked for the bill and was charged for the chicken knee. No explanation as to what happened. At least they apologized and took it off the bill. read more
