I'd tried the King of Mango Smoothie from the Richmond location of Macu Tea. This was my first time trying it from the Burnaby location. Last time we had King of Mango Smoothies, my dear husband had lined up at the one in Richmond and brought them home for us to try. Including the time he spent lining up, and the time he spent waiting for the drink to be made after he finally ordered it...he said it was about 45 minutes wait altogether. I was pleasantly surprised to find that our waiting time at this location wasn't nearly as bad. There was still a lineup, but including the time in the lineup and the time we spent waiting for our order to be made, it was about 20 minutes altogether. So...not nearly as bad as what he went through in Richmond! Love, love, love their King of Mango Smoothie! No surprise that it's their Number 1 drink. I saw someone else write that the ordering system is electronic only and that they didn't think that they accepted cash at this place. I can say that they do take in person orders, cuz we placed our order with an actual person rather than at the electronic kiosk. Also, they do take cash cuz...I paid with cash! Parking: Plentiful and free Service: Good

This is my new favorite beverage shop in Vancouver now. Their signature mango drinks are amazing. So far I have tried their D01, D02, and D03 multiple times. Of the three, Chi-Chi Mango Smoothie wins for me because that cream foam is absolutely delightful. At a different location, I have also tried D04, which is the Chi-Chi Strawberry Smoothie. This was not as good as the mango, but still excellent. They call this series Drinking Dessert and I can see why. After the end of a great meal, I rather drink these beverages than eat most other desserts. So refreshingly good. There are often lines, but it moves relatively quick.

All standing no room to sit. Exciting. Real tea. Not a lot of room for parking. Very busy. Fast ig

Decided to try Macu Tea after my sister mentioned it was popular and had good reviews. There was a line out the door when we arrived and for good reason. Even with the line, it moved quickly. They use a machine to take orders so it's quick and efficient. We waited about 10 minutes for our drinks. Staff is really efficient. The shop is small but has a few two seater tables if you want to sit for a bit. It's clean and bright. It looks like the shop is known for their fruit teas and have seasonal flavours. Right now is the Kyoho grape smoothies so we got both the chi-chi grape smoothie (cheese foam on top) and the bo-bo grape smoothie (agar bubbles). We also grabbed a chi-chi strawberry smoothie (cheese foam on top). Drinks were fresh and just the perfect amount of sweetness and smoothness. All 3 were delicious. We'll definitely come back if we're in the area.

I have only been able to try the taro and the strawberry as their menu is seasonal for fresh items, but those two have been some of the best bubble tea that I've had in a long time. I feel like my money is shown in the quality of their ingredients and it is worth the weight. I know it can seem daunting but trust me it is delicious. I can't wait to try the mango ones as it is about in season now.

Food: 5/5 - if you LOVE strawberries or mangos, this is a must visit for cool and refreshing dessert drinks or milk tea drinks. I love anything mango, so I tried their mango smoothie with fresh mango and green tea jelly. There's only one size. A bit on the pricey side but worth it! Ambiance: 5/5 a nice and clean ambience to the place with some seating. Service: 5/5 - you can place your order on the machine or there is someone taking orders. There can be long lineups but it goes quickly. They're located in the orchard shopping mall off Kingsway and Willingdon. There's free parking in the lot. I'll be back again and again.

Expensive but the grape tea and the king of mango tea are always so good - so worth the money!

I tried the King of Mango smoothie and my partner got the Tieguanyin Oolong Milk Tea and added the green tea jelly. Macu Tea is my favourite bubble tea spot now! Yifang being the predecessor. The King of Mango smoothie is so good and worth the price. The mangoes they use are fresh and extremely ripe. It's icy like a slushie, flavourful and sweet from the fresh mangoes, and the green tea jelly is phenomenal. The steep in the jelly is perfect and it complements the drink so well. The ratio of coconut milk is also perfection and doesn't overpower the mango. It tastes like you're drinking a mango. The oolong milk tea also has to be one of the best milk teas from a bubble tea spot I've had! The steep is strong! Perfect ratio of milk. The green tea jelly didn't go too well with this drink as the oolong overpowered the green tea though. I think it would be perfect with pearls instead! It's very crowded in this shop. There are some seats but most people use it to sit while waiting for their drink. The lineup tends to be long. I went twice an hour before closing and the lineup still took 30 minutes or more each. It's 100% worth the wait in my opinion. Give in to the hype!! lol

My wife and I tried this location while visiting from Bellevue, WA and it was very good! If you're looking for a nice summery drink, check this place out. It's located at Willingdon and Kingsway. I had the Chi-Chi Mango Smoothie and she had the Chi-Chi Strawberry Smoothie. Both were delicious especially the green tea jelly and Chi-Chi topping, which is their sweet and salty cream. They also use fresh mangoes and strawberries. You can see all the boxes of strawberries at the front counter so definitely fresh. So good!

Love that they use fresh fruits. Anything with chichi is delicious! The line is always long but it's worth the wait.

We got one of those and a Durian Smoothie. I think we somehow missed the Greentea part of this drink cuz when we got it, hubby and I were both surprised at how green the drink was. It's only now that I look back at the photo I took of the menu that I realize the word Greentea was in the name of the drink so...not so surprising anymore that our drink was green. I honestly didn't taste much Greentea in it though. Mostly I tasted KitKat and Brown Sugar. Didn't taste any kind of Cheesecake flavor in it. It wasn't a bad drink but I think I prefer the fruity drinks that we've had from this place in the past. I think I'd have also preferred this drink to be slightly less sweet than it was. We brought our drinks home and had them while watching a movie. Hubby sat further back in the room while our daughter and I sat in the front of the room, but I could still smell the Durian smoothie from where we were sitting!

I was a bit disappointed that the menu didn't seem to match up with the purchase kiosk. I really wanted to try their matcha tiramisu but found it was gone from the menu. I settled for a brown sugar pearl milk tea instead. I thought the drink was good. It might have been a tad too sweet but I got used to it after a bit. The pearls were solid overall. It wasn't an amazing experience but I'm willing to come back again. I do wish the menus are a bit more up to date as it was a bummer to not try something exotic sounding that appealed to me.

I've had Macu Tea at their Pasadena/LA location, and the mangoes there were bland. But here at the Robson spot, I ordered the King of Mango, and it was absolutely delicious. It was super refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. The drink only comes in one size, but it was perfect for two people to share, packed with mango goodness and all the toppings. Half of the store is actually used for mango inventory storage, which tells you how serious they are about their fruit. There are only two tables, and we were lucky to snag one so most people take their drinks to go. The line does get pretty long, and while they have one self-order kiosk, they could really use a second one. They also have a register, but that person seemed mostly focused on making drinks rather than taking orders.

It's been there for a while so starting to look a bit dated. Doing good business on a Saturday night, although we didn't have to wait for a table. We were not super hungry so just went for drinks and appetizers. They have a pretty sizable sweet drinks menu, with a lot of choices for toppings. I got the melon slush with half sugar. It was plenty sweet, and has the nice honeydew melon taste. For appetizers, we got the Taiwanese style chicken nuggets, and a mixed plate of braised meat and proteins. The chicken nuggets taste as expected, got good flavor, and was tender and not dry. For the braised plate, we got sliced pig ear, fish cake and sliced beef shank. I liked the flavors, and the beef shank was tender. Overall two drinks with two appetizer was like $43 before tips, so not expensive. Solid place to go for some inexpensive Taiwanese food and sweet drinks.

The popcorn chicken is always made fresh and food portions are generous at the price point offered. There's a reason why Bubble World still maintains a number of locations throughout the Lower Mainland and business is steady. Service is prompt and decent too.
