Came here for breakfast as they are one of only a few places open early (that I could find). Had the Hunter's Benedict which was awesome, but unfortunately I wasn't aware the potatoes came chock full of onions and peppers. Most will like that but I am not a fan. Everything else tasted good. What really made this place great for me was my waitress. She was sweet and kind, chatting up the regulars and singing Christmas tunes as she walked from table to table. Really great country breakfast. We had tried several of the more hyped restaurants in Jackson (e.g. Cafe Genevieve) and found them over priced and mediocre (as in $8 for a cup of coffee). Totally opposite experience at Bubba's. The portions were large, food was good, price was reasonable, and service was friendly. If we'd found it earlier in our vacation, we definitely would've gone back. read more

Great spot walking distance to our hotel/cabin. Got the 4 meat plate with pulled pork, brisket, bbq chicken, and sausage plus x2 sides of Mac n cheese to split between two adults and teenager. Plenty to fill us up with some left over. All the food was $30. Seemed like only a little bit of food when I opened the container, but once we started grubbing, we filled up fast! Also requested a side of each bbq sauce to sample everything. Meats were good and not dried out. Mac n cheese was more buttery than cheesy (but I love my homemade Mac and cheese so likely biased). Overall very pleased. Proximity and non-overcooked bbq gives this place the 4th star. Also, we walked in and ordered and only had about a 10 minute wait so that was nice! 5th star would have been given with cheesier Mac and cheese :-) read more

The sauce detracts much more than it adds here. It's too ketchup forward. Think Chef Boyardee. Brisket was good...ratio of fat content to meat was on point, chicken was good, ribs were dry. The bark is light, smoke ring is adequate, dry rub is lacking. Overall, it's okay, but nothing to write home about. Potato salad was nice, well balanced. Macaroni a bit box like. Texas toast was on. French fries were delicious. If you haven't been spoiled by excellent BBQ, this place is worth coming to, but if you have been, try the other options and save the BBQ for the noteworthy. read more

The food is excellent and the service is quick and very friendly! The baby back spare ribs, the brisket and the St. Louis ribs are terrific! You will not find better barbecue in Jackson hole. Our tour guide recommended it and we owe him one! Just go there and you'll see what I mean. read more

Great food and great service (Thanks Zuzanna!). I got the pulled pork and it was incredibly juicy. All the sides I got, mac and cheese, beans, and coleslaw, were excellent as well. I highly recommend getting the mac and cheese and beans. The portions are pretty generous so I could have been okay without the extra side (lunch special comes with two sides and Texas toast), but I came in late after hiking around Grand Teton so it was perfect. When we called to see if they could accommodate our food allergies, they said they would check in 30 seconds later told us that eggs were in everything. Including their pork ribs and baked beans and corn. How discouraging that they wouldn't just be honest and tell us they didn't want to check. read more

After a long, long day in Jackson, we were looking for quick eats as we headed out of town -- boy did we get lucky! Good food, fun atmosphere, and with three tired kids (and three tired adults), Bubba's was the place to go. I went with the brisket & 'cue mixed sandwich -- it was pretty good, especially when you added the 'slaw on top like we do in NC. Mac n' cheese was good, though a bit watery for my taste. The main reason for the 5 stars -- and I can't say this enough -- was Brenda. I've already mentioned the three tired kids right? Brenda made the whole experience GREAT, was VERY accommodating & understanding, and was wonderful with the children. We really appreciated her, and made sure to tell the manager as well. Just had great lunch at Bubba's. I had lunch Rib plate with beans and potato salad. All excellent and a huge portion. My wife had BBQ chicken and she said it was outstanding. My daughter had a chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce and she also said it was excellent. Have eaten breakfast here as well and enjoyed everything. The wait staff does a great job and I highly recommend Bubba's when in Jackson Wyoming. read more

We had breakfast here on a Friday morning. There was a bus load of people here but no wait time for us. I had biscuits & gravy (1/2 order) w a side of bacon, my husband had 2 pancaskes w a side of bacon & my 5 year old ate toast & bacon. The 1/2 order of biscuits & gravy was HUGE and tasty, the pancakes were also huge. 1 side of bacon was 4 pieces. The coffee was good and service was fair-good. This is our third time here and we'll be back tomorrow too. It was recommended by our hotel. Good thing, too as we wouldn't have expected a BBQ place to serve breakfast. There a few tourists like ourselves but seems like mostly locals and is slight off the beaten track but still easily walkable form the central hotels. Nice place. The food is really tasty and the staff are super friendly and very attentive. I'm glad I went there. (Never been there before) Fall of the bone baby bbq ribs, great cod fish platter, French fries was delicious as well as all other sides (zucchini, coleslaw, mac'n'cheese). Couple of notes: They can improve the bbq sauce and make it more smoky. Also food gets cold very fast, because it's not very hot when it comes to the table. Was staying in Jackson just for a day to see Yellowstone, had to leave early the next day and needed a good place for breakfast. Asked around and someone recommended this place. Figured a place named "Bubba's Bar-B-Que" would make an interesting breakfast stop so decided to check it out. Had a good breakfast selection and ended up making for a nice meal. read more

The server for our breakfast was excellent with a very attentive wait staff offering refills several times. We ate here two mornings of the three we were in Jackson, WY and were so happy with the food. Delish. They do practice social distancing. It was worth every dime. Coffee hot, eggs cooked right, great portions! Heads up- there is no waiting inside so if chilly outside, bring a coat and hat before your table is ready. read more

My husband and I recently spent 10 days exploring Wyoming,Montana, Idaho,& South Dekota. We were disapppointed with food selection and quality in our National Parks;then we had some Bubba's BBQ! It was by far the best meal we had! Our server was Stacie and she was fabulous! When we come back to the area, this will be on our list to eat some BBQ ribs and turkey. My boyfriend, his friend, and I all came to Bubba's for breakfast this morning. I ordered the biscuit sandwich with bacon with a side of hash browns and it was delicious. Our waiter today was Stacey. He was the best waiter I've ever had in my life. He was so nice and we didn't have to wait that long for our food even though the restaurant had so many customers. He came to our table, consistently refilling our water and making sure we were satisfied, which we were. This was a very good experience for us. Staff was attentive and food was quick, but it wasn't good. Brisket was dry and tasted more burnt than smoked (and I usually enjoy a thick crust and heavy smoke on my bbq meats). Macaroni and cheese tasted like watered down Kraft. Overall, very disappointing and wish we had gone elsewhere. read more

As we walked up, we saw the restaurant was busy and there was a wait for tables. We thought, "This place must be good." The host sat us at a table for two almost immediately. The waiter was prompt with the specials and bringing out drinks including SWEET TEA. The meat was very good. I had the Sloppy Bubba sandwich which was brisket and pulled pork with a sweet barbecue sauce. It was delicious. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich that had a vinegar sauce. She preferred to use my sweet barbecue sauce. The macaroni and cheese was the only disappointing part. It was not much different than the straight out of the box variety. read more

I realize that things change... We first came to Bubba's 20 years ago and their breakfast was big & good food at a reasonable price i.e. a value. I still have the souvenir hat that I bought at the time and couldn't bear to part with it through the years because of the fond memories... Upon today's visit, my main irritation is that they surcharge you for things commonly included in breakfast combos. For example, you cannot get the common breakfast combo of eggs, hash browns and a meat (bacon, sausage or ham) without getting surcharged for the meat. Bad form, Bubba! That being said, the pancakes are as good (thick yet fluffy) as I remember, the biscuits as are still as big (yet not too heavy) and you must be a power-eater if you can eat two of either of them. Their sausage gravy is very good and included enough sausage that I didn't feel the need to pay the surcharge for additional meat. My wife got the Denver Omelette and she said it was perfect, with the green peppers not being overcooked. My pancake-loving son loved their pancakes and my daughter agreed that their hash browns were the perfect balance of good textures with a crispy top. Overall, their breakfast quality is 5 star, but their lack of value drops them to 4 stars. read more

Honestly that was awful. Service was completely shit. Some dude slammed down tap water as I went in and didn't come back for ten minutes. I got ribs, fries and beans. The plate they served it on was so small you had to use their napkins to put the bean bowl and bread on. The fries were cold the beans undercooked. Only decent thing was the ribs and I'd give them 2/5. Plus they have zero sauces on the table. Every BBQ joint I've been to across the United States gives you that option. But to be honest ifvthe service wasn't so crap I'd probably have enjoyed it a lot more. Guess it shows just how important service is. read more
