I actually want to give credit where credit is due. We moved to Midland about six months ago and we are from Houston it seems that every time we dined out in Midland there's a lack of customer service and care. At this location I was pleasantly surprised when I'm used to having such bad service anywhere else. Even though it took us a little while to get our food our waitress was extremely attentive and very kind. She was always checking in and making sure that we had drinks and were satisfied while waiting for our food. I would like for this location to give her credit although I do not remember her name I will describe her to you as best as I can. We dined at the midland location on May 30, 2018 the girl had glasses and black hair and she waited the section with the number 33 made out of Budweiser and Bud light beer cans. Great food, great service, great place. The only reason I gave it a four is because we had my two young nephews and it's not really a place for small kids. But the kids menu was great! I would just say only take kids if they're five and up! Other than that I loved bubba's 33! read more

I dont remember anything me or my family has tasted here ever tasting bad. The burger meat just melts in your mouth. The pizza is so delicious with crispy and not too doughy crust and they dont seem to count how many pepperoni they put. They truly top those pizzas. All of the staff we have come across in Bubba's is extremely nice. The food is promptly sent to our table. The dri is are amazing. The atmosphere is fun family friendly. There is nothing bad I can say about this place. Even the prices are so affordable and the servings are large. I absolutely love this place. read more

The food was ok. The reason I'm putting 2 stars is because of the service. Our server was NOT consistent. Half of my group had finished our food, while the other half didn't even HAVE their food. Now, the food was good, but it wasn't very fresh. The last thing that arrived at our table was a SALAD. I would think that it would have been one of the first things. I really enjoy bubba's. There apps are so good. I always order the onion rings and my family loves them. I recently tried the queso w/chorizo on it and I was excited to find out that it works well together. BF and I have only ordered burgers to go a couple times because wait times are too long inside. both times we ordered hamburgers without cheese but both times there was cheese melted into the burger( hard to try to eat healthier). burgers were otherwise delicious and we will try again, want to try the pizza. Only other complaint is their hours, not open for lunch during week but this chain is owned by same people as Texas Roadhouse so has same hours. If i were CEO i would have Bubbas open weekdays 11-4 and Tx Roadhouse from 4-11, instead of competing with themselves. a burger and pizza place not open for lunch? i don't get it! Edited, have been several more times and quality seems to be headed downhill. Stopped in for lunch and took a seat in the bar. Great atmosphere with lots of different options to watch on their several TVs. As soon as I sat down the waitress came over and got me started on a drink and gave me a food menu. After a long wait another server came to retake our order. We got two different explanations for the delay. We were okay with the wait but when the food finally arrived we were disappointed. I order online pretty frequently for work, and I park in the designated "to go" parking spots. Every time I walk in there are servers standing around talking to each other but do not acknowledge me. I remember a time when this place had it all, good food, great atmosphere, amazing staff, ok prices.. a lot has changed since they first opened their doors (as expected). Last three times that I've called to place an order for pick up I have experienced the following: the first time I called nobody answered and I got tired of re-dialing that I just ended up picking up a burger from whataburger. The second time I called I was told that they were gonna close in 30 minutes and that they didn't take any more orders so that was that. The third time I called to place an order over the phone I was put on hold for over 15 minutes (I waited)... got home from a long day of work and just went to bed instead. The times that I've had the chance to go with my wife and daughters has been just as bad. The last visit they had my wife's order all wrong and they took a very long time to get our order to our table. It was approximately about 1 hour to get our order to our table. The waitress rarely came to see if we needed more drinks and worse yet, never even came to assure us that our meal was almost ready. I really do miss the early stages of this restaurant. read more

Finally got a chance to try this place out and it's like any other burger joint. They have tons of same sized screen TVs located around the perimeter of the restaurant. It always bothered me when some places had bigger screens than others and if I wanted to watch something it would be on the smaller screen. All games should be treated equally! But you don't have this problem at Bubba's. I got the bacon burger, where they mash them all up together and it's like 33% bacon with the fries. The theme around the number 33 is obvious throughout the menu and the restaurants (note jersey numbers). It comes with special Bubba's sauce and I asked for ranch on the side as well. Our server took our order down on the napkins that were at the table. I'm not sure if they ran out but it was interesting. Took some time to come out but once it did I was pretty happy. The fries were probably my favorite. Perfectly sized and seasoned and with the ranch made them delicious. The special Bubba's sauce was an orange-y color and it tasted like BBQ meats. It wasn't my favorite sauce. The burger was alright. I didn't like the buns, they were kind of stale and hard. And the burger looked small on the platter. I was eating mid-meal or I would have definitely gobbled it all up. Would I come back? I would come back because it's a good hang out spot to catch up with friends or to watch the game. Great place to go in Midland. Went for the first time tonight. Been hearing good things about Bubba's 33. Went a little early fearing it would be packed, and it was getting pretty crowded when we left at 6:45. Tried the Fish and Chips, and it was very good. Wife had the Sunshine burger which she really liked, but would ask for no onions next time. Had fries, and cup of chili for sides. Didn't know the chili had raw onions, so next time no onions for me either. Chili was pretty good, not a fan of beans in chili, but there weren't that many. We decided to try out this place for lunch and probably will never go back. I will give them credit though with being able to get us a table quickly. But the service went down hill after that. They took an hour getting our order completed. And even then they made a mistake. Our server did not have a sense of urgency, and did nothing not even check up on us. Last night was our first time here. Food was excellent and the manager was very nice. Unfortunately, our server was Gabrielle and never greeted us, so the manager got our drinks and took our order. The only time the server came to the table was to drop off our pizza and collect her money. She was standing around visiting with other employees so we could see she wasn't just busy. I was a server for over 5 years and there is no excuse for indifference in a server, customers pay your bills! If you treat us well we will do the same! My group of 3 arrived at 6pm on a Thursday so I did expect a wait when I asked to be placed on the list. I was told it would be a 25 to 30 min wait. No big deal, Thursday's are busy nights, I understand that--I worked in food service for 3 years so I understand how these things work. I received a buzzer with an assigned number and gave my name to the hostess. At 35 mins of waiting I wasn't bothered but, at 45 mins of waiting and when I saw we were among the few groups that remained and others who came after us were being seated I went up to ask where we were on the list and how much longer it would be. Come to find out, we were no longer on the list because apparently we had already been seated. One of the other workers overheard the name and state that she had already sat that table as they said they were us. I still had the buzzer with a corresponding number registered under my table name that never went off and I wonder how the 4 people at the hostess stand never bothered to check for that. What is the reason for registering them like that if your not going to check? The hostess said he would put me at the top of the list and that the very next table available would be ours. I guess he reset that buzzer but it never went off. We waited for another 10 mins while we saw more tables who came in after us seated before us and promptly left after an hour of waiting. Neither of the 4 people who idly stood at the hostess stand attempted to remedy the issue despite my obvious dissatisfaction with the situation--not one appeared to care that they wasted my time nor did they attempt to get a manager involved. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food or waitstaff since I never got as far as the front door after waiting for so long--but if either conduct themselves the way the front house of the restaurant does neither can be any good. I will not be going back. I can get better service elsewhere for half the price. I wish there was a zero rating on Yelp because this place doesn't even deserve the 1 star rating. read more

We were told it would be a 20 minute wait and wound up waiting an hour just for a table. We then waited another hour and a half to get our food.. Burgers were subpar with the buns soggy from the grease (or from sitting in the back from not being delivered in a timely manner), fry seasoning was super salty, and service was horrible. Maybe the opening was rushed? Nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Our server acted like she did not want to be there and forgot some of the orders when the food came out. This place has such a great customer service and friendly atmosphere. The staff is always so sweet and Dre our waiter is the best and our favorite!! He has such a great, positive, uplifting attitude! Loud music with tons of TVs! The music level is similar to a particular road house (TX). You do have to raise your voice to talk to those at your table. I highly recommend the Philly cheese steak (add jalapenos). Although I would recommend that the beef be chopped a bit more, I had a hard time biting through some pieces. The pizza is ok - not the best but not the worst. For the pizza being hand tossed the crust is much more thin than what I was expecting. The 33 bacon burger is excellent. The meat patty itself is better than most places (33% of the meat is ground bacon). We've gone twice, once for dinner with fast delivery of our food (ordered at 530). The second time was for lunch, it took about 30 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered and it didn't look like the restaurant was super busy at the time (ordered at 1120). read more
