We have eaten at a lot of LJS over the years. This place was clean, food hot and fresh. There was service, they brought our order to us. Clearly using fresh oil for the fish and fries. It was obvious by the cars in the lot and the steady stream through the drive through that this is not a one off event. I've had a few issues with schedule for these guys over the years, but whenever I go there, the meal is consistently good. The menu is a little confusing, but the different combinations or baskets or meals, etc. really look to meet every need without ordering extra. Today was the nail in the coffin. I've been in Big Spring over a year. I have tried Long John a few times, every time adjusting my order based on previous experiences. Today I nailed the coffin. " we can't take any orders!" Was what I heard today. "...we have to many orders" I would feel sorry for the owner, however they aren't there to run it so, it is what it is. Let's start with the fountain drinks. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Dirty bucket carrying unfiltered water into a machine that has layers of dirt and grime. Dirty employees(not all) with bad hygiene. Not all, but over 70% of them. Only on one occasion of about 4 did I get fresh food(didn't order drinks after previous experience) In any case. Easily the best long John silvers I have been too. The customer service was great, the food was fast and hot. The food was not overly greasy at all which is a nice change compared to a few locations I have been to in neighboring cities. Give it a shot and don't pay attention to the older reviews! Would give zero if possible! Absolutely horrendous experience... the restaurant was empty hot and dirty..... Food was so greasy it was not edible, my wife had the 2 piece fish and I ordered the Coconut shrimp and Fish combo... the shrimp were so small I didn't see them and when I asked about I was told they were under the chips? When found they were swimming in grease that was literally dripping from the fish. We decided not to eat what was given to us and I took it back to the counter and told the two ladies working it was not edible.... Nothing just looked at me. Never Again! The coleslaw and hush puppies were good. The fish was overcooked both pieces. I usually enjoy their food but no today.

I was incredibly impressed. We ordered our food and when we swiped our card and it cleared, our food was already ready. It also targeted fresh and was just as good as any other Long John Silvers. Very great service, good food and a clean reataurant. We will be back. read more

This must be the worst seafood in my life!! from the shrimp to fish to the fries. And how could they serve that to customers! They really need to work on the batter, current batter is far to salty and it absorbs too much oil.. the quality of the fish was really poor and left my mouth with a foul fish taste for the rest of the day.. Went to the drive through at 6:30pm expecting a line, but there was only one car ahead of me. Ordered a platter with fish, chicken, and shrimp. She didn't ask what sides I wanted, so when I got to the window I asked what sides came with the meal, and she said, I gave you fries and coleslaw. I hate coleslaw, so I asked her if I could have green beans, she gave me a free green bean! Great, and fast service. The lady at the window was very nice, and had my order ready right after she swiped my card! Will definitely keep going to this location. read more

Ok just left this location and I have to say .. after working at Long John Silver's for four years the quality was very poor at this midland location.. the chicken was rubbery and very oily the fish wasn't cooked correctly the shrimp was dry the fries look like they had been sitting for a while the only thing that was good was the hush puppies. And that is the food we got...had we gotten what "we actually ordered"there's no telling what it would've been like. To bad there is only one in midland. It's gona be awhile before I go back. read more
