Well... This establishment was closed with a paper sign on door the first time I tried to go and I should have taken it as a sign not to try again but sadly I did. Took a long time for at best mediocre food to come out which I barely ate because it was just not good at all. Delicious authentic thai food!! When passing through Midland always a must! Cant wait to be back after holiday break!!Everything is fresh and made to order love the chips and sauce which are made in house. Went to dine at this establishment at 5:54 pm it was open per the hours on the door however wha isn't stated on the door is that they are dine in for lunch and take out only in the evening. I was very disappointed. If I could leave a negative star I would. The dining room was clean but the chairs were stacked on tables. The food used to be good, but the way the hours are now it is anyone's guess if that is still the case. read more

Absolutely delicious!! Love coming here on a cold day to get their Tom Kha Kai (chicken coconut soup). It is phenomenal! It warms up my belly, heart and soul. I've also had their green curry on occasion, which was equally delicious. Their Thai and Chinese dumplings are yummy. Service is fast. Prices are reasonable, especially for the portions. Just be mindful, they do close for summer vacation, so it's best to check their hours first. read more

I've been eating at Thai House for years; and if I go a long time without eating there I definitely start craving it. I always get the Pad Thai (chicken for me) and the Cream Cheese Wontons. It's generally amazing. This last week I was craving it for my birthday. My boyfriend ordered takeout, and it just wasn't as good as it used to be. I rarely give a place two stars but as my first time trying this highly praised establishment, it's only fitting. The green chicken curry is great. Really great. But the portions are a complete rip-off. The spring rolls were a joke at $3.59 a piece. The side of "fried rice" was just rice with some soy sauce thrown in. I had tried: 1. The restaurant Chips, 3 our 5 stars. Texture Ok, taste, more in the sour range. 2. The Bangkok roll, a beautiful presented roll almost immediately after I asked for it. It had more much noddles than I expected. The side sauce was excellent. 3. Tom Kha Kani Soup, I asked for low spicy, being scared about my tolerance of their species. I should go medium next time for my taste. The soup base had to much lime, that overpower the coconut milk, lemongrass and ginger of the definition of the soup. I asked and it look like they put the lime/lemon while cooking the stock. I don't know if asking without lemon next time would help. The service was fast and kind. The restaurant has around 20 tables, which they served perfectly. The rotation of clients in business was so smooth, the waiting time was seamless during workday lunchtime. I've eaten here many times. I always get the chicken curry. Medium hot with fried rice. I put the rice in it. Fried rice absorbs the juice better. Then I pour the whole thing from the bowl to the plate so it won't take forever to cool down. It's really good. The people are very humble and nice. This place is very popular. The curries are hot, even if you ask for the mild, be prepared for a mouth-watering, sinus-draining delight. My wife prefers the milder noodles while I enjoy the yellow curry chicken. The blend of curry and coconut milk give a rich texture and great flavors. When I'm not feeling well, the rice soup with chicken fills me up and makes me feel better. Where to even begin? I had this curry and have thought about it non-stop since. It had the perfect flavor, you could taste the sweetness of the coconut, the richness of the chicken, and the spicy flavor I asked them to add in. My boyfriend had the pad thai and its always the same quality of amazing. Our servers are always kind and helpful. The restaurant is one of our favorite stops in Midland. There are funky hours but as long as you plan ahead a bit it's worth it. Of course, the owner (who gives you a candy bar on your way out) is so sweet it makes you feel good knowing your paying for a quality meal run by a quality man. This is the best place to get Thai food, and that's a fact! I usually get the Pad-Thai or the yellow curry and they are delicious every time. They can and will be spicy (which in my opinion is good) but if you don't like a lot of spice, you can ask for different spice levels, which are almost always true to the description. Joe (the owner) is incredibly nice, and gives away candy when you pay out. I have never had any dish there that I didn't like, and I've probably tried half of the menu! My only two complaints are, like other reviewers have mentioned, they are kinda pricey. My other complaint is they go on vacation fairly frequently, so be prepared to see a closed sign sometimes. However, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is quite enjoyable, and the staff is very friendly. If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would. I have been taking several of my coworkers here to introduce them to foods that is not Mexican Tex Mex or fatty burgers. So far everyone liked it. Yes it is chinese/thai, but it gets the job done when there is only a limited amount of thai places here you can eat at. My favorite thing to eat here is the Panang or Red Curry shrimp soup dish that comes with your choice of fried rice or white rice. The owner/cashier is super friendly and he always gives me Fruity Chewy Mentos when we pay for our bill. Yes, I'm going to have to say it's my favorite Thai in Midland. All of the curry soups are excellent and you can get them from not so hot to scorching your mouth hot. So, the choice is yours. Be sure to check this out if you haven't tried it yet. Edit: So, it's been probably a year and who knows how many visits to Thai House. I still love this place. I'm going to 5 stars from my original 4. They never disappoint. (except for the hot & sour soup... that's disgusting, stay away it tastes like canned tuna fish) I love every curry soup but have found my favorites in the spicy, sharp flavors of the red curry. And if I'm feeling more mellow, the green has just the soft flavors and fresh vegetables to satisfy my cravings. I've now probably had half of the menu and can say that it's all very fresh tasting and pretty good. Oh, and for a little dessert/drink/tea: Get the Tai Tea. I usually order it when they set my meal down so I don't drink it all before i get my food. It's a deep red strong flavored tea that is sweetened with sugar and condensed milk. it looks pretty with the red/white color and is sweet enough to cool your pallet after eating that spicy soup. read more
