On my short trip to Midland this place came highly recommended and I can see why. Very friendly service. The food is delicious! I ordered the lunch portion of the Szechuan double cooked pork and truly enjoyed it. The spice level was just right and the fried rice had vegetables in it which was a bonus to me! I'm glad I stopped in and would highly recommend it !!! read more

Everything is always great. This is our go to Chinese spot. We love the spicy sea food dry pot but everything we've tried is always a 10. The mapo tofu is also divine. I'll attach a few images from our last visit. Def try it out! It's also so beautiful in there and the service is great. read more

Really good restaurant, I enjoy their offerings Only suggestion is, the staff gathers 10' from the table having a loud conversation making it hard for diners to converse. It was a happy conversation... but it did detract from my experience. read more

Portion size was good. Rangoons were good. General Tso's was flavorless...just sweet. Chicken was tough, and the breading was overly soggy. For the price, it wasn't worth it. read more

From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The aroma from the kitchen instantly made me hungry, and the service was just as impressive as the food. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor -- you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. The duck was perfectly seasoned, and the sweet and sour ribs had just the right balance of textures and spices. The pork fried buns had the right amount of crisp with a little bit of chew. Lastly, the green beans oh so yummy cooked to perfection with a little crunch and sprinkles of garlic. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and the overall experience left me wanting to come back again soon. If you're looking for authentic flavors, excellent service then this is the place. read more

The best Singapore noodles Ive ever eaten. I wanted to start off by saying that before anything else. When we arrived at the restaurant I almost didn't think we had the correct location. From the outside this restaurant looks like it used to be a drive thru donut shoppe. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised by how clean it looked and smelled, followed by the decor and lastly the welcoming staff. On appearance alone we rated it a 10/10. We never expected to find our favorite Asian cuisine in Midland Texas. We have ordered and loved, the Singapore noodles, roasted duck, orange and sesame chicken and the honey walnut shrimp here. The Lo Mein noodles are the perfect amount of spice and texture. The beef and broccoli is also a delicious staple. What started as a quick spur of the moment diner ended as being a weekly staple for us. If you're traveling into or through Midland/Odessa, do yourself a favor and stop in at Szechuan House. read more

I've eaten at Szechuan House in Midland, TX half a dozen times. Service has always been prompt and polite. I like this place because it's quiet enough that you can actually carry on a conversation. The food has always been good, too. I ate there this week and had my customary sweet & sour chicken. The pieces were rather large, much more than bite size, so I cut them. Each piece was about 75% bread! Very little chicken. I cut a couple of pieces into thirds and the end pieces had no meat at all! If I go back, and I'm sure I will, I will insist on sweet & sour chicken--NOT sweet & sour bread. read more

Also had the crab Rangoon with cream cheese was excellent appetizer and small bowl egg drop soup was very comfronting and seasoned just right. Restaurant offers a lively atmosphere that transport you to China which is very clean and inviting. Service was very attentive and will be back soon. read more

Service was good but waiter hovered. Also everyone's food was not brought iat same time. So one person finished while other still waiting. Also food I ordered sesame beef was all breading-could taste no beef. All in all very disappointed for what we got and price. Won't go back read more

Ordered there many times and the food is always outstanding. It's a little pricey, but worth the cost. We've had the General Tso's Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, fried rice, crispy beef, egg rolls, all were outstanding. Highly recommended! read more

we went one time with a group of 7 people, then we're charged by 18% tip automatically without notice either before ordering food or at the time of payment, so we double tipped. Later we further found the restaurant automatically includes sales tax as your consumption to charge you the tip. It doesn't feel good that we also tip them for the tax we pay. More transparency can improve customer experience. read more

The most authentic Chinese food in Midland. The spicy boiled fish is my go to but the Singapore noodles and the spicy beef are also a must.

Do not order from this place .They have hidden fees and they said sorry but you still have to pay

I'm a Chinese food snob so I was very surprised how good the food was. We got the general tsos chicken, beef and broccoli ( my husband said the beef was the most tender he's ever had at a Chinese restaurant), kids chicken teriyaki and an order of spring rolls. It was all really good. The fried rice didn't have much flavor and the broccoli could have been cooked a little more but we will definitely be back. The place is really nice and the staff was great. read more

After reading several (mixed) reviews we decided to try this place out; there were several outstanding things about our meal! We started with the Crab Rangoons, which were delicious! For entrees we had the Szechuan Crispy Chicken, Sweet and Sticky Spareribs (not sure on exact name), and not pictured the Fried Corn . Fried Corn wasn't quite for our taste (seemed extra sweet, like had added sugar to the batter). But everything else was exceptionally delicious! Prices were high, but they were evenly aligned with the portions. Lastly, atmosphere was clean and relaxed and service was friendly. Can't wait to try again! read more

Delicous food and a much needed restaurant in Midland/Odessa. Service was very fast, I came on a sat day around 7pm. Food was amazing! Very flavorful and perfect level of spice. Interior was fun and unique. Had the salt and pepper shrimp and chicken wings and I must say that was my favorite. The garnish was to die for. The portions were huge as I'm sure it's meant to be shared. Had several other chicken and pork dishes that were also very yummy. Overall will definitely return. read more

Awesome food! Awesome service! Great Ambiance! I'm a longtime fan of Szechuan, came from Houston used to always go to West Houston, where all the signs are in Chinese, and in English. Landed in Midland and 10 years later, they finally bring Szechuan. Very skeptical I walk into this place look around and immediately like the ambience. I open the menu and suddenly realize there's actually stuff on the menu that is very similar or the same as what I used to order back in Houston. I immediately realize this could be the real thing. The server comes and I rattle off my standard order, look at the her and wait for a reaction. There was only one item I had to explain which she quickly pointed out an alternative after I showed her a picture. The food came quickly. It was very good but not quite as spicy as I'm used to, but I could realize that they're kind of taming it down to the local region of Midland. I mentioned this to her and she said just to ask for extra spicy next time. Hands-down this is the best Asian place in Midland. read more

Horrible food. Everything is breaded with no chicken. The taste is horrible. Save your money.

Food and service is always great at this place. Recommend any of the boiled fish. Plus the place allows byob so keep that in mind next time. They also do a great job with large groups. read more

The food is delicious. I had the chicken stir fry for lunch and it came with egg drop soup, my personal favorite! Service, our server was a wonder gentleman but there was a female server standing across from us while we were eating. She was watching tv, and drilling in her nose for a solid 5-7 minutes AT LEAST maybe longer!!! She drilled in one nostril then the other for extended periods of time, then went back to work serving her tables their food and drinks. It was disgusting!!! I couldn't believe my eyes!!! If I go back, and the food was so good I really want to go back, I will make sure that woman doesn't get near my food. I highly recommend trying the food! It is amazing!! Just watch out if you have a heavyset female server!!! read more

Start this review out with the only reason it didn't get five stars. The service was rather slow. I went in for dinner with two coworkers. The egg drop soup looked good, I had the hot and sour. It was dang tasty and had a slow build on the heat. Entrees: orange chicken with fried rice, beef and broccoli with fried rice and Szechuan crispy shrimp with steamed rice. The orange chicken was delicious and crispy. The beef and broccoli, the broccoli had a little bite but was blanched nicely. The beef was incredibly tender. Very good. The Szechuan crispy shrimp was WOW. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, crispy, extremely flavorful and the heat was fantastic. This place is a little pricey but the portions and overall food quality make it easy to justify. read more

hardly any meat in there just a lot of rice and egg very disappointed because it cost 25 bucks

There's dishes here that i can only find in other Chinese restaurants in the bigger cities. The "szechuan crispy beef" and "honey walnut prawns," you won't find at any of the other Chinese restaurants in midland. Our waitor, Kyle, is super nice and attentive. We love this place! read more
