I saw this passing by and honestly thought It was going to be really good but I was disappointed. It shows in the pics that they have crab legs so I. Was really coming for this but they don't have the snow crb legs it's the small whole crabs which I don't like . The food was just ok. I did get to try the frog legs which was pretty good. I was in town for one night and had a long drive in. My hotel was next door so wanted something quick and easy that I could walk too. This was the first buffet I've been to in years. Normally not a buffet type. It looked clean so I gave it a shot. There's definitely a lot of choices. Some looked like they had been sitting awhile though. So I stuck with the Mongolian grill that I could build my own. Not too shabby at all. The service was just ok. I had to get her attention several times to get more to drink. read more

Dear Mr. Buffet King. This was my first and LAST time ever coming near your establishment. I am disgusted and appalled not only at the food, if you'd even call it food, but the cleanliness of your restaurant. The carpeting was the most rancid id ever seen in my life. My shoes were getting stuck to the floor as I walked. Even the tile and everything I TOUCHED was sticky. This place needs to be shut down. The sushi tasted awful and smelled even worse. I practically had two bites and couldn't eat anything else. The service was not completely terrible - but the waitress handed us our ticket in the middle of us eating, which I found incredibly rude. Very pleased with the variety of food available and appreciate the senior discount (you do have to ask for it). The hot food is served hot and the spicy food is not too hot. Condiments are readily available so you can 'dress' your selections to fit your tastes. The drink service is fine without being overly intrusive. read more

I used to really like going here until my mother noticed small cockroaches around the area of the ice cream machine, a place where nearly all of the children go. We were highly disturbed by the carelessness of the cleanest of the area. The food is over all good but the restaurant is not really the best. It simply does not feel very clean at all and the ambience isn't really the best. The food can become messy but that is expected at a buffet. The price is a bit too high for the quality of the restaurant and food. The waitresses seem overworked and rude. The bathrooms are gross and some stalls never seem to be working at all. If buffet is your thing then Buffet King is it. Typical Chinese fare with so so sushi made right in front of customers. Selections run from large, fresh, sweet shrimps, blue crabs(tiny) in black bean sauce, Mongolian bar-b-q, clams,baked salmon, chicken dishes, etc. Something for everybody I must say. Good service. Gave me a horrible stomach ache. Seafood doesn't even taste like seafood. Ate a bite and already regretted it. Selection is pretty small. A lot of the meat taste fake. The stuff that requires breading is overpacked. Meatballs aren't even meatballs, but a ball of breading. Stuffed shrimp is a flatted "meatball" with a shrimp in it. Even the shrimp taste fake. Sushi was stale and gross. Fruit has no flavor and isn't even sweet. Will not be coming back again when I am in town. It is $10/person for dinner however. You get what you paid for. read more

We came for my son's birthday, it has been over a year since our last visit(which we did not enjoy a lot) but since their re-opening it's better than what it used to be, still not the best food but they have improved, staff is always kind and attentive. We might come back one day. read more

It's buffet "Chinese". You know exactly what you're getting (even if you don't know what its made of) and there is as much of it as you want! Nothing special here. The lady was braver than I and tried some sushi, and she was surprised at how not awful it was. So, there's that. Everything is over fried, tough and swimming in sauce. But every once in a while I have a craving for soft serve ice cream, General Tso's chicken and fried cheese all on the same plate, and this is the best place for that in town. read more

I'm sitting in this restaurant right now, half tempted to go put my sushi back on the bar and walk out. Apparently they have sushi here but you aren't supposed to eat it. I was making my way down the sushi bar, I didn't have an excessive amount of sushi, maybe 6-7 pieces, and the guy behind the counter cuts his eyes at me and gives me a dirty look and says something under his breath in Chinese. Why would you belittle your customer ? Why put sushi on the bar if you don't want people to eat it. I'm sorry that you have to make more, but that's your job. You chose to be a sushi chef, nobody made you do it. I've never been this humiliated in any restaurant before. This is the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to. They have a huge selection of food and they constantly refill the food with fresh food. I live in Austin tx and I have been to really bad Chinese buffets so to the people saying this place is "ok", trust me, you have never been to a bad Chinese buffet like the ones in Austin. The waitresses are great but sometimes they try too hard. Yes my boyfriend knows I'm pretty and yes my parents are Mexican but you don't have to speak Spanish to them.
