The best in town. Husband took me here for our first date in 2012 and we've been coming here since with our 2 kids. Joe and his family are amazing. Food is amazing. It can get busy but they do the best they can and it's all so worth it. Will always recommend this to anyone when they ask what's the go-to place to eat. You can't get any better. The Green Curry Chicken was great. Nice spice and great flavor. I had them leave off the jalapeños. Perfect. Gracious service, no long wait and kept my tea coming. What more you you want? This is my husbands favorite place, however I don't have the same feeling. When they use fresh ingredients it's absolutely fabulous but sometimes their ingredients are not as fresh as they should be and I can taste the difference. Also, sometimes the sweet tea tastes days old. So they are either reusing day old tea or someone doesn't bleach the tea dispenser nightly. It makes a difference! read more

Considering the pack of authentic Asian restaurants in the area, I was pleasantly surprised by the food at Thai House. I love tom kha soup (coconut milk and chicken soup), and it was one of the best I've ever had (I used to live in Austin with a lot of great Thai food, so that's saying something). Their spring rolls are also great. My fiancé had rice and orange chicken, and said it was fine. I would recommend sticking with the traditional Thai dishes, not typical Americanizes Asian takeout dishes. My one criticism is that the inside of the restaurant needs a lot of work. It definitely looks and feels like a dive inside, but the food is worth it. read more

This is the only good thai place in the whole of midland and odessa. Their green curry, red curry, pannang is really good. Medium hot is very hot so most people only do mild. Service is good and people are kind but it can be slow as they are very busy. They open at 11, wish opened a little early. read more

Oh. Em. Gee. We lived in Midland for almost 5 years, and this was our favorite restaurant. Of all places, Midland, Texas, a Thai restaurant that actually has delicious Thai food. It is also one of the few Thai restaurants that actually makes it "Thai hot". They also have some fried shrimp on the menu, that I think was an appetizer, that my oldest son absolutely loved. Wow! This place exceeded my expectations. I haven't tried Thai food in this area, only in Houston and San Antonio, and I was very pleased with the outcome. The service was absolutely perfect, and the dishes were amazing. Ordered fried dumplings with a curry sauce and potato stuffing for an appetizer that was very delicious and red curry for my main entree. My Mom ordered green curry and we shared a pad Thai with a heaping serving amount. Yes we were hungry. The green curry was delicious too and had a hint of sweetness. The thing that separates Thai House from the rest is their FRESH vegetables!!! It's easy to tell when a restaurant uses the frozen ones. The pad Thai was amazing as well. The owner was so sweet, he gave us each a nice 2018 calendar and two candy bars on the house for dessert! Will be returning :) read more

This place if and when it is open is a must visit. Call to check because they are not the most social internet media current. I've been there more times than you can count and have never had anything but amazing service and food. After eating King and I, this place is amazing!! (But not compared to Washington's) this place is pretty spacious, but I can totally imagine it getting packed for lunch hour. We ordered chicken Phad Thai, Tom yum, and panang curry. I can handle spice but man!!! Medium is on fire! The Phad Thai was decent, I'm not a fan of curry, but my fiancé likes it and my Tom yum was not so yummy. The tom yum didn't burst in flavors like what I'm used to, just more of spice. It was served with white rice or fried rice which was awesome. This is definitely the best Thai food we have around. Our meal came out to be about $35 and they also gave us each a pack of mentos candy on the way out! read more

This place has the second best red curry I've ever eaten, and the first best is thousands of miles away. Just fabulous. They asked my desired heat level and I said "medium." it was at the extreme of what I would want to eat, but the flavors were amazing. Next time I would ask for 2 out of 5 or something like that. This is fantastic Thai food - not just for Midland, TX but overall! I am a huge fan of Thai cuisine and have travelled to Thailand on multiple work trips. While based in Midland (and popping over from Abilene here and there), I always incorporate a visit to this restaurant. I ALWAYS order the Tom Yum soup here with shrimp - the lemongrass flavor is not shy in their broth recipe and it is outstanding, one of the better Tom Yum soups I have ever had (it's spicy on it's own so I leave it as-is ,"mild" versus upgrading the spice level). While this large bowl is certainly enough for a meal and is served with rice, I always want to take leftovers home with me so I order an entree as well. The panang curry, pad thai, and pad see ew are all great. I will not accuse myself of always being a healthy eater but do try to stay away from unnecessarily greasy foods so this place meets my approval in that respect. Even their fried rice is simple in flavor and fresh, not greasier than it needs to be. Finally, the service has always been perfect. The servers are incredibly attentive, the food is brought out hot and in a timely fashion (but not so timely that you need to question how fresh it is!), and the owner is an incredibly kind and grateful person when you pay on the way out. Ordered the Kai-Soy and asked to add any vegetables to it that they could and WOW it was delicious! Also got it Thai Hot - the perfect amount of heat. This is an incredibly favorable, and fulfilling dish. Also like the green curry, but the Kai-Soy is a larger portion for sure. Highly recommend trying it out. read more

I ordered seafood tom yum and I was amazed at the amount of seafood and the varieties in this soup. My soup had mussels, shrimp, imitation crab meat, squid, fish and mushrooms! I saw all the reviews and thought this place was worth trying. First off this place is waaaaay over priced $2.89 just fro a 12oz can of sprite, the pad Thai was 13.99 for chicken and it was not a very big portion. The worst part is, it didn't have very many noodles, it was sweet and I did ask for spicy. Overall not impressed and defiantly not satisfied. The food was unremarkable. Nothing I couldn't make at home. We had a combo 22 and the fat noodle stir fry (can't remember the name) spring rolls and hot n sour soup. The spring rolls were decent, the soup was egg drop soup with a bamboo shoots added. Very disappointing. The fat noodle stir fry smelled of wet dog (i think it was shrimp paste) which was a bit of a turn off. The service was basically good. We waited forever for our check and thought we were supposed to go up front. We weren't. Our waitress just didn't bring us our check. The guy who checked us out was very nice and compensated us for or long wait for the check with a couple kit Kat bars. I won't be back. read more

My only critique is sir of te noodle dishes take a LONG time at lunch, we were told by our server that the cook for those particular fishes works very slow and gets backed up quickly. The Thai House is great because it offers quality in service and food that the other competitor (King and I) does not offer. The main praise I have for this place is the consistency in taste. I know that if I liked their Pad Thai today, I will also like it next time I order it because they have consistency. One of the main complaints is how small the restaurant is. But for me, I think this is a plus. The owner is able to keep family members only in the kitchen thus giving us authentic tasting Thai food! The owner and workers are always welcoming and friendly. I will keep coming back to this restaurant to support them and keep them open! Another note... If you need to place a to-go order, try not to call right at lunch. The phone will either be busy or they just won't answer your call. The owner makes sure that they don't get overwhelmed with to go orders when they are really busy (I think). Thai House is a small little restaurant in a strip center across from the hospital. As soon as you walk in you are pleasantly overcome with the exotic fragrance of curry and other spices. I usually get the green curry or one of the soups, and every entree has been a winner. The thai iced tea is full flavored and refreshing and the service is efficient for those who are in a lunch rush. In my opinion, it is hands down the best asian restaurant in Midland. read more

Here is a place that has good Thai food and an unpretentious atmosphere, which is something I truly appreciate in my Thai restaurants. Granted, this is not the "fanciest" restaurant you could go to, but in my opinion, quality matters more. I was completely satisfied with *every* element of my meal: fried tofu, Bangkok roll, and Pad Sew Ew. Plus, here is a place with a menu that has good variety and at a reasonable price. My friend who only had $20 in his pocket walked away with a decent amount of change, and our cost wasn't bad either. I don't think you could bring a "super-large' group here (the dining area is rather small), but a few of your close friends will do nicely. I highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly make an "out of the way trip" back here to dine again! read more

The Thai House has very good food. I like to get the Panang Curry and the cream cheese won tons. All of the staff is very friendly. There is usually enough curry to have a good sized lunch there and then get an extra order of rice and eat the rest at home for supper. The egg rolls are good too. The only thing which I don't like as well is the egg drop soup but it's not all that bad. They do close for a month or more for the summer and I think that's when the owners visit relatives in Thailand. read more

We never have to wait long for our food, and we always have a good dinner when we go there. The only thing we did not like was the fish. A very decent thai restaurant in Midland! I tried "King and I" and I decided to not eat Thai food in Midland anymore. But then my coworkers said this place is pretty good so I just tried it out. The price is reasonable, or rather cheap compares with other restaurants in Midland. It's nothing like Houston but I am very glad to find a place like this in Midland! We had panang curry and padthai. We wanted medium level of spiciness but it was a little too spicy for us. We will go for mild next time. Definitely a place that you won't disappointed. Let me say first I am being a little easy on the place with my rating due to location. I probably shouldn't expect top shelf Thai in the middle of west Texas. Brisket and BBQ absolutely, but not Thai. I found the food very bland overall despite ordering medium plus and adding some suspicious looking chili oil to some bites. I tried to order the Thai Roll but they were out of them at 6:15pm. Maybe they are really good! I asked for spring rolls but all they had was fried ones so I had the steamed dumplings. These were ok. Fresh and decent filled. I decided to order Tom Kha Kai soup instead of a big meal since I was flying in a couple of hours. I enjoy all Thai soup and especially anything with coconut milk base. This was much more broth like without the sweetness and richness I expect. Canned mushrooms and tomatoes also showed lack of the detail and freshness I love in Thai cooking.
