It's definitely no Waffle House but still pretty good(: Service is great and so is the food so I can't complain!

My husband and I have been eating at this restaurant roughly once a month for the past couple years and we love it. The food is nothing fancy, just typical diner-style food, but it's tasty and filling, and they're always happy to customize things to fit my dietary needs. Prices are rising everywhere, of course, but all things considered Huddle House is very affordable. We're always seated immediately (and always were, even before we were regulars), and the servers are friendly and seem eager to provide a good experience. One time I was seated where an air conditioner vent was blowing right on me and I was cold. I asked if it could be turned down a little and they did it right away, no questions asked. We used to eat at IHOP or Dennys a lot, and they're fine, but always very crowded and chaotic and loud, and the employees are overworked, which makes them forget things and make mistakes on a regular basis. That never happens at Huddle House. When we go, there are always a good number of other customers, but because it's a smaller restaurant, it's much less chaotic and the employees are able to provide better service to each customer. We really enjoy the calmer vibes and highly recommend it as a good diner-style alternative. read more

We entered and told them 6 people, there was a corner booth empty but waitress (Katie) said we couldn't sit there, but would put us in smaller booth, we told her we would wait for bigger space, several tables were dirty, and not one person was trying to bus them, another table became available but needed to be cleaned, Mason walked by and got the tip off it, but didn't try to clean it, after several minutes he started to clen, but then stopped to clean another, 3 times he went to clean it, but would just walk off. After over 20 minutes the manager finally came out of the back, and seated a family in the corner booth, that we could have been in, this family came in 15 minutes after us. I came in for dinner after seeing a billboard on the highway. The location is a bit out of the way from the main road but overall still accessible. The parking lot is clean and the facility appeared to be well-maintained so I decided to come inside. I was quickly seated shortly after I entered. The servers are cheerful and the other customers there also felt the positive vibes. I quickly received a menu and my server took my drink order. They serve Pepsi products at Huddle House. In addition, there is also free WiFi available in the dining room. I ordered an appetizer and an entree. The appetizer, Jalapeno Poppers, consisted of six poppers and French Fries, with marinara and ranch for dipping. Overall it came out hot and delicious. The main entree I ordered, the Country Fried Steak dinner, arrived just in time as I was finishing up my appetizer. The presentation was great--the person in the kitchen clearly did not plate up the meal with haste! More importantly, the food turned out hot, fresh, and tasted wonderful. In sum, I felt that I made a good choice visiting this Huddle House location for dinner. The food was great and the service exceeded my expectations. I will certainly return! read more

if you eat at establishments because you are loyal to an employee, this is the right place (go team Meg), otherwise RUN to another restaurant!!! The manager, Rachel, runs and allows the worst operations in the state of Texas. 1. Today I stood and watched not 1, but 4 parties (total of 11 people) leave, after standing in line in front of me, and not being added to a list. 2. I have watched 2 male staff act inappropriately, be rude to guests, and have terrible hygiene while handling food. 3. personally sat and waited and waited and waited for food to come out to cooked incorrectly or be cold. Made a trip for the weekend for work and family and heard about the new Huddle House open up in Odessa sometime back so we decided to give it a try. Now first impression of this place is that it is small compared to how it looks outside. Now the place was a bit packed so I approached the hostess stand and they quoted me about 30 minutes for a party of 4. About 30-35 minutes passed and our seats were ready so it was close to on point. Let's rate the services first. The hostess sat us to our table and our waitress quickly approached us to hand us our menus. Our waitress was very attentive and assured our needs were met and for it being in Odessa I was highly impressed! Now for the food, I ordered the strawberry n cream pancakes platter with eggs, applewood bacon and toast, my scramble eggs were well cooked and the pancakes were evenly topped on the strawberries n cream. My wife ordered the pecan pancakes platter was really good. Overall I do recommend this place the food is good and the service is great the coffee is spot on until next time Huddle House Odessa! read more

Ate there a couple of days ago, just after lunchtime. I had the chicken fried steak, wife had t he steak bits. Most of the food was good, but the CFS was less than inspiring. It resembled the cutlet you used to get for school lunch. I asked the server about it and she confirmed, it came to them frozen and breaded in a box. Certainly not worth the money I paid for it. The tea tasted like it was made from a bottled concentrate. It was way too strong and had a dusty taste. Didn't drink it and asked for a glass of water. Server was attentive without hovering. Just walked out of this place. Went in to get some breakfast. This one pretends to be a little fancier and has a hostess station. I sat at the bar as it was just me. After three minutes the hostess asked what I'd like to drink and brought that to me telling me a waitress would help me shortly. Right after that, I assume the manager started berating a waitress for being late in a huddle with all of the wait staff. Granted, there weren't many customers present. There were more staff present than customers, but you do t reprimand an employee in front of customers. Shouldn't do it in front of that employees peers either. Came in for my kids graduation stopped in the morning looking for some decent food. The food was fantastic people were great. Best food in Andrews I highly recommend this place. We came in and we're quoted 30 minutes for a three top, after 45 minutes I went to ask how much longer, no host jn sight, with tons of new guests coming in, after about 10 minutes standing there I stopped the manager. so we stopped by mid-week after a movie at the 191 cinergy cinema and a quick cat food run to HEB on 42nd. only a couple tables were occupied mid afternoon, with only a cook and a single server on during the short staffed period of the day. we were seated immediately, the place was spotless and smelled great. we ordered with some help from our waitress, jennifer. the philly cheese steak omelet & my wife's egg's benedict were both delicious and perfectly prepared. the sides: hash browns, biscuits & gravy and STIFF grits were perfect as well. the iced tea was much better (fresher?) than the usual tea served elsewhere too. several couples and a sizable family came in as we were eating, so that about half of that decent sized restaurant was FULL when we left. we never heard anyone complain about a thing while we ate (about 45 mins.), and in fact several of the couples were 'regulars.' this is the sixth time we've eaten at this particular location over the past 6 months, and this experience pretty much mirrors ALL of the others. the bill was 25 bux total!?! very reasonable even for fast food in the booming permian basin. we've both owned and operated separate west Texas restaurants, so we know about quality in every single area of the business. kudos to JENNIFER, the cook and to the Kent Co. for - finally - bringing a Huddle House to Odessa. Note: a little birdie said we're getting one in Midland. Hallelujah!
