Extremely disappointed with the way this situation was handled. We came to Bubba's 33 and one of the women at our table, who is 30 years old, presented her valid Louisiana driver's license. The restaurant refused to accept it because of their policy regarding vertical IDs. We were told this is store policy, and although I may disagree with that policy, I understand a restaurant can choose to have stricter ID requirements. What I do not understand is what happened next. I ordered a draft beer for myself and they refused to bring it to me because they said there was a woman sitting at our table with a vertical license. I was not purchasing a drink for her. The beer was ordered for me. Yet I was denied alcohol simply because another adult at my table had an ID that Bubba's chose not to accept. This woman is 30 years old -- not 18, 19, or 20. Her Louisiana driver's license is a government-issued license showing her date of birth. We were not attempting to circumvent an age restriction or purchase alcohol for a minor. I completely support restaurants checking IDs and taking responsible alcohol service seriously. What I don't support is treating an entire table of adults as though they're doing something wrong simply because the restaurant doesn't like the format of one adult customer's valid driver's license. A policy may be a policy, but the way it is applied matters. This turned what should have been an enjoyable meal into an unnecessarily frustrating experience. I hope Bubba's 33 corporate management reviews both this policy and how it is being enforced at this location. I will not come to this restaurant again or any other location read more

We stopped by for lunch while out running errands and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the service was absolutely great. Our server was attentive, friendly, and took good care of us throughout the meal. ​However, the food was a letdown. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was extremely greasy to the point of being hard to enjoy. Dinner with my bride and my oldest daughter. A Bubba's nacho plate, a smash burger, and a classic burger with tots and fries were ordered. Two waters a a Coke for drinks. A quick lunch, Bubba's 33 is donating proceeds for central Texas flood relief. Our server was prompt, took our order (we already knew what we wanted), and brought our drinks promptly! I will say the music is too loud, (Noon) making conversation unpleasant.. I'm old and have some hearing loss, but still find it too loud. The genre isn't bad... Well as many times as I have been to Midland I had never been to Bubba's 33, a very busy place that's for sure. It's a Sports Bar/ Restaurant. We were greeted by the hostess and although the place was packed we were seated at a table, the menu had lots of choices for all food types, they even serve pizza. Our server was friendly and mostly attentive even with it being busy. We had the fried pickles for an appetizer and they were delicious served with ranch and a sweet creamy sauce, I had the 12oz ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, food was good and will definitely stop here again. read more

WTF Bubba's??? Got take out and smelled very good, looked good to until I looked at the patty on my burger... There is a piece of shaved metal in my patty. I'm guessing it was part of the scrubber used for cleaning the grill. I'm not trying my luck eating this, with my luck- broken teeth, cut tongue or whatever. So the fries are good. Bout all I can say for now. More money thrown away at midland good establishments. They just getting worse and worse. And I'm sure there's no compensation for a ruined dinner, there isn't at any other place so why expect any more from midland establishments. read more

The place is great to watch sports! There are three sections in the restaurant: outdoor patio, family section, and full bar section. The pizza is delicious! Very tasty and crispy. I like pizza, so I give this spot a 4.6 on its pizza. The wings are great. Feels like any other wings. The wings just keep getting smaller. This is our first time coming here. We are here for work and wanted to try it. Aaron was our waiter and he was very friendly, checked on us often and even apologized when my burger had onions on it. The burgers are delicious. The fired pickles and onion rings are airy and crunch with a great flavor. We had the fire fry's with our burger and they were delicious. If you like spicy they are the way to go. There are plenty of televisions to watch something. The music was a nice mix. All in all we would definitely come back when we are in town. read more

I did a call in order last night she said it would take about 25 min okay no problem, fiance picked it up he had to wait another 45-1hr for the food , understand it's a Saturday night busy but he went and looked at the food before he left and it was COLD. I understand the wait time but then getting it and it was cold..... called the store talked to a guy manager and he said he can remake the food or refund. The food was great and overall it was okay. The only problem was the waitress, she hardly paid attention to us and only visited our table twice. Once to get my husband a refill and the other to get us a leftover box before we left. I enjoyed my meal but it would've been better if she checked up on us a little more. It was massive and uber-juicy. Great flavored patty, with a nice sweet-tangy sauce and crisp bacon. Skinny fries were hot and nicely seasoned. Wrapped up my caloric binge with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae. I unfortunately had to share it with my kid. It was served at room temp insteadof warm, and was almost brownie-like. It was the only part of the meal that was average to me. Bubba's 33 has a cool fun vibe to it, and is a great place to watch some sports and grab a bite and a drink. It's a sports bar, a dime a dozen, a bunch of $#!+ on the wall a bunch of TVs, it's a chain so if you want something familiar go here. Came with the family to eat, once we got a table my husband ran off to the bathroom. When he returned he told us we were leaving which is why we won't eat here again - Upon entering the restroom someone was obviously doing #2, when the person from the stall walked out he noticed it was an employee who then stood at the sink, turned the water on and started messing with his hair and face, never touched the water or soap at all, turns water off and walks directly out. Went in here for dinner after a hard day of work. Oilfield town so it was pretty crowded. Sat at bar, got great service. Food was decent, had wings and fried pickles. Certainly not healthy, but not my concern for the day. I ordered smoked wings, they came out fried but ate them anyway. Beer was cold. Lots of sports stuff on TVs. Outdoor seating area. Not as good as I remember! Came in about a year after I went with some friends. Service was super friendly. Beer was cold. Pizza was slightly burnt and tasted pretty bland. I ordered the Taco one. Won't do that again. Their rocket shrimp is phenomenally tasty though. Went to the bathroom and came back to find my beer and pizza gone. They found the pizza in the to-go box on top the trash and gave it back to me and comped me a beer, but sheesh, a guy has to get up and use the bathroom. Was really disappointed. We took a couple with us who had never been. We had been to the location in Lubbock where we had a good experience and told our guest they would really enjoy it. Ordered chips and queso and onion rings for appetizer. Both were awful. Queso was room temperature and so thin you couldn't dip it. They dressed it up with some tomatoes and maybe parsley. I would rather had cheese whiz. The onion rings were large, under cooked and as far away from fresh cut as you could get. We were embarrassed in front of our guest. I won't be back! read more

To preface this, our waitress was incredible and should probably work at a better playing place than this. I went here with my family for the day after 4th of July. I got the macaroni meal with grilled chicken and while it tasted okay, the cheese was clumpy and thick, while tasting watery and the (3 pieces of chicken) were just okay. Quite expensive for Just Okay. My niece got a plain cheese pizza, and it was probably one of the worst things I've tasted in recent memory. Saying it was like cardboard with cheese would be too stereotypical, but I am NOT KIDDING. If this was Amazon I'd return it. We packed everything up in To-Go boxes except for the pizza. Another person at the table got a chicken sandwich and although they said it was too wet with the added condiments, said it was merely okay. I also tried the mozzarella sticks though??? Absolute bangers!!! Get those for sure. Everyone loved them and were fighting to get the last ones. Best thing I ate the entire time. They had that cheesy stretch, and the breading was perfectly seasoned. For real those mozzarella sticks were amazing. I'd buy them in the store if they sold them the way TGI Friday's does. To be honest I was quite disappointed with this Bubba's location. Others than I've been to in Corpus and San Antonio have been much better.
