We were driving back from El Paso to Dallas and we researched some local restaurants in the area, as we like to shop and eat local, rather than chains. My wife found this on a google search and we decided to stop in. It was a later lunch and the menu selection was good. The atmosphere was upscale/casual and decor was very cool and laid back. I ordered the salmon and got brussell sprouts that were both delicious with a side of wild rice. Everything was well seasoned. My wife got a burger and she said it was great. Our server was Perla and she did a great job attending to us and pricing was reasonable. We would definately come back if in the area. read more

We had a great lunch/supper at Pi Social today. Fun atmosphere on a hot day with the garage doors open. We sat inside with a view of the park across the street and stayed nice and cool. Alissa provided GREAT service. We ordered 1/2 dozen Thai chili wings. SO good! The best I've had in my 2.5 years in Midland, and I've tried a lot (we also put in a request to the chef for a Cajun dry rub). I don't love a sticky wing sauce, and these were perfect, flavorful & meaty. The house Sauv Blanc was cold and crisp and refreshing. Main course was a gluten free pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza. In town, staying in downtown. I eat late, and they were one of the only places downtown open. If you can judge a place by its burger, and I do, this place is up there. Didnt have to ask for medium rare, it just was - thats style. Bun is homemade and just chewy enough. Pretty good fries. I watched multiple people get overserved at Pi Social, including one who told the bartender, "I'm the best drunk driver you know." Later, a drunk man harassed me and my girlfriend while the staff looked on. He was only cut off after becoming belligerent. This isn't just bad service--it's unsafe. Overserving leads to harassment and drunk driving, and Pi Social is contributing to both. read more

After attempting to go to two other restaurants in Midland that were closed on a Monday evening. Since we were in the area, we walk to Pi Social. Thankfully football was on otherwise my husband would've been more pissed that we waited almost 20 minutes for a server to come to our table to get our drinks. We waited over 30 minutes to get our drinks and over an hour to get our food, my husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and it honestly look like it was microwaved, and it have been sitting out for a while. The pizza was OK. I don't recommend this place. The quality of service food is horrible. The only thing that I liked was the old-fashioned. At one point while we were waiting for our drinks. We were gonna leave until we notice our drinks were sitting at the bar waiting for our server to bring them to us which that was another 10 minutes. read more

The food is always fantastic, we eat here several times a month. We don't mind pay $150 + for pizza and cocktails, when they are always good. But, this is not a date place. They definitely want a bar/club venue. The bar over powers the dining and the live music in such a small area, makes it impossible to talk. Service is slow. After making a reservation 24 early, the host call me and asked if we would be ok with sitting out side. It was January 30th, so no. She asked again when we arrived. Still no. If you're looking for a classy place with great food and drinks, this is not it. I had read some nice reviews of the place and decided my wife and I should try it. We were suspicious when we noticed mostly younger people in the late afternoon/ early evening getting drunk. People doing shots, arm wrestling for who should buy the next round and basically had the feel of a singles bar. We stayed and ordered food, but found the offering to be lacking. Granted, my wife and I are older, but if you're looking for a nice place to have a nice dining experience, I would avoid this place. read more

The busboy attended us very quickly and cleaned off a table for us but we had to wait twenty minutes until a server finally attended us for our drinks. She never brought us menus until we had to ask her again for menus after ten minutes. She almost dropped the menus on us at our table and barely returned with our drinks. Beautifully decorated, great music & super friendly staff! We came in and got seated promptly and was greeted by the BEST waiter. He was absolutely delightful and hilarious. My food was pretty tasty. The star of the Wagyu sliders is the bacon jam. It is DELICIOUS. You'll definitely need to ask for extra though. They're a bit stingy with sauces lol. While I haven't had the pizzas from here, I have had several dishes including; the salmon which I prefer medium rare, so it's not over cooked and dry like most places, they did cook it so that it was not over cooked, but not medium rare like I prefer due to concerns of one getting sick and holding them responsible, understandable. I've also had the blue cheese salad with chicken and the blue cheese crumbles that were on it was nice and creamy..yum! Be prepared to drop some coin at this place though. read more

Such a fun spot!! Within the asking distance of Yucca Theater where we caught a Summer Mummer show. We heard the music and lights right away, it was as fun as it looked! The drinks were strong (fyi!), the Rustic Pi and fried mozzarella slices were sooo good! Our server was great, she was fast and kept us informed on our pizza until I got to the table. My husband and I have been here a few times and it never disappointed us. The specialty pizzas are amazing. I've tried The Hog, Wild Mushroom, and Buffalo Chicken pizzas. Amazing food. We've also tried the garlic knots appetizers. They are addicting but the taste is nothing special. Somehow you just want to eat more. I wish it had more of a garlic taste. My suggestion is to go during non busy hours cause the wait can be a while. We initially ordered the charcuterie board but they were all out so they need to work on their inventory stock predictions. If you like loud places on a busy Saturday night then this is the place to go. I still think they need to work on their service during busy hours. When it was a lunch hour or when they just opened and they were not busy, the staff had their stuff together more. Maybe they are understaffed? I recommend for the food. Where do I start... Killer location as downtown is slowly but surely getting a lot more attractive. Place is modern with a great ambience. However, the music is way too loud. Like super loud for how small it is in there. The food is good and that's why I'm giving it a two star. The service? A joke. Where is the manager? When I first ate here a couple years ago I was not really a fan, I gave the food another chance yesterday and it did not disappoint. I got the baked goat cheese which was absolutely incredible, and the rustic pizza which was pretty good. This place seems to get pretty busy any time of day and all during the week, I like the environment and think it's a great spot to have drinks and walk around and talk to people. The complaint that I have is that you may be waiting a little while for whatever you order due to the capacity and some of the items and drinks seem a bit overpriced for what they are. read more
