There are not many choices in Midland/Odessa for nice dining especially when looking for a place to take a customer or work colleagues. I am very happy that I found Saint Blaise as they hit all three of my marks for restaurants that I take customers to. Food: The food was great. I wanted to get the steak and potatoes but it was $50+ which I thought was a bit steep for just steak and potatoes. I opted for the blackened salmon which was cooked perfectly with delicious broccoli and mashed potatoes on the side that were also cooked perfectly. The gnocchi had a perfect consistency with a non-overwhelming sauce so also phenomenally done. The two drinks I got: Same Place and Maple Manhattan were well-made with each component complementing each other well and not overpowering one another. If you like tequila and manhattans I think you will be happy. Service: The servers were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire visit especially with the waters. Huge kudos! Ambiance: I will say because the inside space is a bit tight and small, having conversation when the restaurant was busy proved a bit difficult but if that is the case they do have seating right outside in the lobby area and having conversations there should not be an issue. First time dining here with friends to celebrate Friendsgiving. We reserved a table for four and the hostess was very courteous. Our server, Brooke, was awesome! She had a friendly attitude and made great recommendations on what we should order. Everything was delicious! The meatball appetizer was delicious! Dinner | $30-50 I went in and immediately was greeted at the front by "Aaliyah" She was super bubbly and inviting. We sat inside and it was nice, cool, and lively. Our server Aubrianna greeted us instantly. She gave us amazing drink and starter recommendations. I got the same place and let me tell you, BEST drink I've ever had. Fresh cucumber juice mixed with Aloe Vera Liquor creates heaven in a drink. I should've taken a picture of my entree, the smash burger. It was the tastiest and juiciest burger I've had in midland in a while! I was told to come back and try it BLAISE STYLE next time which includes a grilled jalapeño and bacon with veggies. Sunday brunch was perfect! My husband and I split the Cowboy Quiche and the French toast. The quiche was so delicious and topped with the BEST white gravy and sausage! The French toast was made from bread pudding and had a hint of cinnamon. Oh my gosh, you have to try it! We decided to split both the sweet and the savory dishes, we both agreed it was perfect! Let me start with the food was amazing. The service however left so much to be desired. Our drinks came out after most of our food. One drink was a pineapple mimosa... it's two ingredients. How does this take 25 minutes? My son ordered a muffin... we all finished our cooked meals before he received a cold muffin from a package. When I got up to check in it I was told, "well I can sped it up but it may not be cooked in the middle." Not... I'm so sorry. Sir... this is a packaged muffin from your freezer. Food was delicious, I would call it elevated comfort food. My wife and I split the Frito Chili Pie appetizer and we split a Smash Burger. The Pie was so tasty, and plenty of it, so we were able to take some home for seconds. The chili had a perfect balance of chili spices, meat and sauce with all the right fixins. The smash burger stood out on its own. Our server was fantastic, apologies I took too long to write the review and have forgotten her name. We met one of the managers and she was very nice too, she stopped by and thanked us for coming in and we talked for a few minutes. Even though it is in a bank it doesn't feel like it when you're in the restaurant. We went late afternoon on a Saturday. We do recommend trying this place. But why I won't be going back is #1 they charge you for every single cup of coffee and soda refill. Wow! My husband and I finally got a chance to check out Saint Blaise and all I can say is wow! Food was delicious, service was great, and atmosphere was cozy with modern downtown vibe. We got the beer cheese fondue and the owner Blaise recommended the pigs in a blanket as another dip option for the cheese and it was perfect! We also enjoyed the smashed burger, a delicious American classic, and the meatball sub that was so flavorful! We finished our meal sharing the bread pudding. Blaise hit it out of the park again with another recommendation and suggested to pair the dessert with their Saintini with espresso and it was absolutely yummy! The bread pudding was not overly sweet and complimented well with the Saintini, that gave a cafecito y postre (coffee & dessert) vibe. Definitely coming back again!
