    Pimento cheese with table crackers
    Orlando F.

First time eating here and was delicious! I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Flavor was good and the mashed potatoes were creamy. For appetizers we had the pimento cheese with table crackers! Great choice with a pinch of spicy kick. Atmosphere has a tint 1960's with antique pictures gives it a slight "back in time feeling". The price is somewhat high, but given the food, taste, and top notch service, it is well worth the money. Oh don't forget to order a bowl of cheesy macaroni with your meal. You won't reget it! Diffently coming back.

    Seared Tuna Farmer's Market

Was sooooo excited to return for lunch after 7 months of not having the opportunity to meet with others. I ordered the same item I did 7 months ago, a half salad with tuna. The half salad was the Caesar Salad. I really enjoyed the amount of dressing and Parmesan, but that portion of tuna was pathetic. $22 for that plate? They should lower the price if they're cutting the portions in third. 2 stars only because our waiter was a really nice guy. Will not be coming back.

Strawberry sour cocktail is a bom

Solid 5 stars! The strawberry sour cocktail and crispy Brussels is Bom. They nailed it. This is my second visit and will come back for more. Chicken fried steak is tasty. Seafood pasta is good. TX fish is great and nicely grilled Coffee rub pork chop is tender, great service and atmosphere. To me, it's worth the price we pay for.

Worth a visit if you happen to find yourself hankering for a steak and a fancy cocktail in west TX. The only thing I didn't really enjoy were the crab cakes. Apps were good otherwise. Old fashioned's were on point and the steak quality was very good, albeit slightly overcooked. I'd give it like a 3.7 outta 5 in terms of steakhouses

    "Crab cakes"

Dinner 2/14/24 @ 6:15 Service and ambience upstairs was good. Brussels were tasty. But how they have the audacity to serve what should be called hush puppies and call them crab cakes is shameful. Especially for a restaurant like this. And for $25. What a disappointment.

Beef tartar and some sort of tequila drink with Tajin. Really good drink!

The reason it missed the 5-star mark with me was our waitress was slow to do everything. Even with taking our drink order. Then our food order. The worst was waiting for my final bill. And then she forgot our takeout box for my youngest. I don't know why she didn't have a greater sense of responsiveness with our party of 3, but it was like this the entire duration of our meal on July 25, 2026. It was super frustrating! The other reason I knocked off a star off was because the towel dispenser was depleted in the lone restroom. I had to flag down an employee with drenched hands. THE PROS I called about 20 minutes ahead of time to reserve a table because I knew this brassiere was on the small side. The lady on the phone was courteous and professional. If you have a hot date, I highly recommend reservations particularly in the evening. This seems like that sort of place. When we arrived, I found free street parking a short walk away. We were promptly greeted and seated. To enter the restaurant, you must go inside the Frost Bank tower's lobby, but to exit there is a door just beyond the bar. This place has beautiful, eclectic decor. The bar area was somewhat rounded and has an easygoing, but classy feel to it. THE FOOD The ambiance is what made this a great mother/daughters brunch date. The food sets it apart from the majority of restaurants in this oil industry town. The have East Coast-sourced oysters on the menu! These are far superior to their West Coast counterparts. I would have opted for these for our app if it weren't for my minions, I mean children. Pigs in a Blanket ($15.00) - yet another appetizer my daughters pigged out on that I didn't get to try. And they said they weren't that hungry! Lies all lies. They looked divine with nicely cooked juicy sausage and everything seasoning on the pastries. Avo Toast ($11.50) - my newly-turned teen daughter and I both had our own. I opted for eggs over easy which were cooked nicely. She oddly chose scrambled eggs for her, but she ate pretty much all of it. Smashed Burger ($17) - my youngest had this and said it was excellent. Nice touch with an American flag planted into the top bun. For the umpteenth time she did not share a fry with me. It is what it is. Mocha latte ($5.00) - my youngest's birthday which I will be missing since she'll be visiting her father is coming up so this was a treat for her. I tried it. Quite good after being thoroughly stirred. 1988 Martini ($18) - pricey but oh so good. The olives stuffed with bleu cheese were not bad. I had to try it even though the thought of bleu cheese kind of turned me off. Lol. Will I return? Of course because I have faith it will be 5 stars next time. Look at the other raving reviews! It has a nice easy-going, small-town Texas feel to it which is hard to describe unless you've lived in a town like this like I have. The inside is typically nice and chill; an ideal environment to grab a cocktail or two and conversate with a date, coworker, group of friends, whatever. Out of all the bars I have been to in Midland, I think Buffalo Nickel has the best selection of whiskey especially. I am not a huge whiskey aficionado but I have heard from ones that this is the place to go. I am more of a tequila and beer guy and they have everything I want. The unique thing about this bar is that the back patio is smoke-friendly. I am guilty of wanting some nicotine after some drinks so this is a great place for me. They also sell cigars if that is your thing. Cheers!

She treated us like we weren't worth her time, yet she was at her JOB of serving people and no one else was in the room. Go figure. Anyway, we ordered food....beware most of it is just frozen crap that gets reheated in the kitchen. Nothing is fresh. Salmon was a triangle shape like you get from Sam's club freezer dept, mixed veggies were also from a freezer and slightly reheated. One of my veggies was actually still frozen on the inside! Mac n cheese was cold. Seriously it had not even been warmed up appropriately. How hard is that? Steaks were okay and probably your best option there but not worth the $27. Bartender did a great job of mixing drinks. Mixed drinks were all perfect. Cooler was "out" so no draft beer at all. Second server also talked down to us like we were trash. We were just about to leave and go somewhere else when we received our third server who was awesome. Kristian was her name and she knows how to serve!! Great attitude, attentive, patient, talkative and friendly. So we stayed a few hours, DJ shows up around 9:00 and he did a great job with music selection. Dance floor is small but not crowded. No smoking in the main part of the bar so this is a nice place to go dancing and not end up smelling like cigarettes all night. I'd recommend this place for drinks and dancing but definitely not for dinner!! Also, ask for Kristian to be your server if possible so you get treated with respect.
