Found this spot on a whim and cannot wait for my next visit! Ordered their breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and was in loveee with the fact they put TWO EGGS. Super hefty sandwich for such a great price. The one downside was that I feel like the bagel was not toasted and it was slightly on the drier side but it wasn't the biggest deal. I also ordered their white mocha and it was just the right amount of sweetness. My friend ordered their sisig and their thai tea and was really impressed with those two as well! She was even debating on ordered another thai tea LOL. The location was also very convenient and right by the Richmond pier so there's beautiful views nearby. Service was fast and workers were kind!

Spacious seating, friendly service, clean bathrooms. I came in and caught up on my laptop while my family spent a while shopping at the Columbia Employee Store nearby! They play relaxing music and good background TV- it was everybody hates Chris and then local news when I came in randomly on a rainy, Monday afternoon. Unfortunately I was not hungry but I would be down to come back and try the food! It was also too late for me to have coffee but they seem to have a good coffee selection as well. I took a drink from the side fridge- they have San Pellegrinos, sodas, aloe vera drinks, Mexican sodas, etc. Overall a chill place to eat and or do work if you're in the area and in need of a peaceful space!

Delicious food! They have a lot of variety, and reasonable prices. It's not near a whole lot else, but it's worth stopping by. Hasn't been crowded either time I went, and is kid friendly.

I really truly wanted to love this place! It was okay. My burger was dry and needed salt. The lumpia was fantastic though. It was just around lunch time and service was right on. Lots of folks eating outside and in.

Amazing salad. I haven't been as long as I've been living in and around Richmond. Pleasantly surprised how delicious the salad was... great big portions

I don't ever go to Richmond, but if I do, I make sure to stop here. They have a diverse menu and I would love to try everything on it! On our most recent stop, we tried the pork chops & rice (so good!) and the patty melt (bomb!). Everything was seasoned to perfection. Get the side salad with the green dressing. Very spacious, indoor & outdoor seating, never busy the times that I've been here.

I was in the area and on the hunt for a great fresh, healthy salad. Babaloos gave me exactly that! Great portions and great flavor. Balsamic salad dressing was so tasty too.

Had the best breakfast burrito here. I am not even a big fan of breakfast burritos! We love to walk the waterfront after.

Had the food was very good meat was tender and flavorful rice and salad was great also . I will be coming back to this place small business which I always like to support and had conversation with owner at the end and very genuine and his wife was also very nice great energy in this place and quiet and felt like I was having a home made meal thanks again

I'm the type that sits shotgun in a car on a cross-country trip and shouts out the brand names on the billboards we pass by. Old habits never die. I was walking on the concrete walkway around the Richmond Marina and saw the headline providing direction to this spot. It said "Hungry?" and I said it out loud like I was back in my dad's Rambler station wagon (photo: https://yelp.to/UAKfSrqAzf). The cafe was in an oddly out-of-the-way location since there was no retail businesses surrounding it. I mentally referred back to the sign and admitted to myself, "Yes, I am hungry. Stop judging me." I decided to order the $12.75 Cheeseburger with a slice of good ol' American cheese and a huge side of fries that I had no intention of finishing them (photo: https://yelp.to/qefQ7vsK2U). After all, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. At least that's what Madonna said when she tried to seduce a disaffected Justin Timberline. Anyway, straight from the grill, that cheeseburger managed to satisfy beyond my meager expectations, and the fries filled in jurisdictions of my stomach with No Trespassing signs. Hungry? I guess I was. FOOD - 4 stars...just a satisfying burger when I was in the mood for one AMBIANCE - 3 stars...nothing fancy in here except a big mural SERVICE - 3.5 stars...attentive enough TOTAL - 4 stars...Hungry? This place caters and the food is excellent. The ambiance is fine to eat in but it's the food that shines.

Ask the Community - Bubbaloo Cafe

Had lunch there yesterday and saw a stack of plastic recyclable cups by the water jug. Can you provide composable cups? BTW, only 8% of plastic that is put into the recycle bin gets recycled. Check out the documentary the story of plastic.

Are vaccination cards required to eat breakfast there. Are there outdoor and indoor seating for breakfast?

Bubbaloo cafe has indoor and covered outdoor seating available. Per CC County requirements, proof of vaccination is required to dine indoors, but no t required for outdoor seating.

Does anyone know if it's open today?

    It was until 7pm

Are they still open for takeout?

    Yes they are open

Feb 26, 2025 3pm 3.8 stars…read more We stopped by for a Hot Pastrami and Swiss sandwich (we ended up with "The Point Richmond") and a coke. $19 and change. There is a learning curve. The sandwiches on the menu all have cute names like "The Point Richmond" and "The New York". That if nice except that- for example... if you want a Hot Pastrami with Swiss, you need to read every ingredient of every sandwich until you find "The Point Richmond". The menu lists it having hot pastrami though it doesn't have Swiss. We ordered that. The Point Richmond pastrami was warm. I was thinking it was just warm rather than hot because of, how you say...oh yeah.. Physics. The relitively smallish amount of meat ratio to cool moist vegetables and room temperature Dutch Crunch (Roll) bread couldn't possibly hold heat for more than the minute it took us to get to the outdoor seating. When I looked at the on-line ordering menu at home later. I read that if I want Pastrami and Swiss, I should have ordered The New York, as it has Pastrami (though not heated) and Swiss. I also found out you can order Extra Meat for $3.49 or Double Meat for $5.49. A first timer here would have no clue that they should order extra meat if they want a hot sandwich. The sandwich was fresh and enjoyable. The cashier and the deli person were friendly. It was nice to visit Pt. Richmond after these few years. I might go back and choose the Build Your Own option. "I'll have a Pastrami and Swiss please. Double meat, double Swiss cheese, with horseradish and sharp mustard on the side if you got em. On a Dutch Crunch roll. Heat that bad boy to the hilt please?"

I had the Marina Burger. The idea of goat cheese sounded good...not on a burger, however...zero seasoning to either of our double patties, so adding whatever doesn't help...no discernible flavor other than overwhelming sloppy goat cheese. The bacon was rubbery...and interesting, also no flavor...bacon w/o flavor?! Ugh. Patties cooked fine...just nothing special. The onions were horrible - sloppy, overcooked...just unappealing. Now I ordered the garlic parm fries...these are horrid. ALL the parm and garlic was at the *bottom,* not a topping, nothing sticked to the fries. Had to eat them with a fork, scooping this non-flavorful topping up w/ the fries...and the garlic is the worst I have ever had...zero flavor, and the parm? Where? It was there, only again, zero flavor. The fries at this place are frozen and have no potato flavor *at all*...so all in all none of either of our meals had any flavor profile or layering...it was simply food...the after taste of grill - smoke flavor is yuck...unenjoyable food all around experience. Now if they say they didn't grill...where is the flavor of smoke coming from? The location is OK...band was on a break, so didn't hear them play...not too busy, but I am curious now what Golden State Kitchen not far from this place has to offer...that was my original choice... Backyard is a meh.
