    Burnt sad lumpia
    Davina G.

Disappointing Lumpia! :-( Drove over to try this place's lumpia, but it was a letdown. I'm pregnant and was craving lumpia. Received burnt lumpia that didn't match the photos. Small serving size and sauce didn't satisfy my cravings nor was it enough to coat BURNT lumpia. Why would you even pass that off to a paying customer... Unfortunately, not worth the trip. Sad sad sad **Rating: 1/5 stars**

I had a very positive experience at curbside kitchen. It was easy to order, the menu is legible Easy to follow. 2 items 1. Curb - Banh Mi (Adobo pulled pork) The pull pork was on the dryer side slightly salty. You can see where the Banh Mi inspiration come in to play (Vietnamese sandwich originally serve on baguette) pickled vegetables and garnished with cucumber. I think this combination gives the brightness taste. 2. Four lumpia 1/2 pork&shrimp and 1/2Veggie The Lumpia tasted fresh, not frozen . I prefer the veggie. Yummy Ending note - The food flavor was good , but in terms of gluten-free options or more health-conscious, CURBSIDE KITCHEN wouldn't necessarily stand out.

Adobe mushroom sandwich, fries and chicken salad

Great food truck outside of Armistice Brewery! This truck is parked in front of the brewery most days and it is a great addition as you work up an appetite drinking beers. I got the Adobe mushroom sandwich which had nice flavors and a good option for vegetarians. My partner got the chicken salad which was a nice, light compliment to the Adobe mushroom sandwich. Check this place out and support this Filipino American business!

Some serious loaded fries! Loved the garlic olio, cheese and bacon bit topping. The large is a good amount to share with friends. Conveniently located adjacent to the brewery The Armistice

Having lived in the South Bay for a couple of years, I've had my fair share of Bahn Mi sandwiches. I decided to hit this food truck up during the last day of San Pablo restaurant week because they claimed innovation on the original Bahn mi sandwich. This food truck delivered on its promise! Each item on the menu is Bahn mi inspired. I had the pulled pork Bahn mi sandwich with a large order of fries and a can of coke. The sandwich had a good large serving of pulled pork (see photos) with a nice pickled carrots, onions, and pickles. It had a little too much Mayo for my taste (see pic), but it was still delicious! The pork was juicy and had a great flavor with the pickled slaw. I will come back and try the other options on their small but mighty menu. The truck itself is located near the Armistice Brewing Company, so you can grab a beer while you wait for your food ( I waited about 8 min). Due to COVID the parking lot was empty, so it was easy to park right but the truck. Post COVID there might be some parking concerns as the lot is pretty small.

Stopped by Armistice Brewing for the first time and glad to be able to try this food truck. Very tasty spin on Filipino eats. So delicious and savory. Got lumpia, Filipino bacon fries, pork adobo taco. Goes well with the beers and seltzer. Can't wait to go back!

    Mushroom melt

We saw the 4.5 stars on Yelp and was excited to try this place out. This was a really disappointing experience. Every single dish was super salty and it was impossible to finish any of it. Sidewalk fries - this would have been a great dish as it included tocino pork, melted cheese, and green onions so the flavor was there, but it tasted like they dumped a pound of salt on top of it and mixed it in which ruined the entire dish. Curbside chicken sandwich - this sandwich was terrible. The breading had the taste of tripe if tripe could fall apart because that's what it did. The chicken itself tasted like it had been cooked in soup for 8 hours beforehand as there was no flavor in the chicken. Curbside burger - the burger had a lot of the same ingredients as the sidewalk fries dish with a meat patty added to it. This would have been a decent burger, but once again, it was way too salty. Mushroom melt - there were more carrots and veggies than there were mushrooms. This once again was super salty. Same theme... I expected more because of all the good reviews. The service was not all that great either. We will not be back.

The fries are good and the lumpia is good, but the burgers are a bit small and overpriced. There's not much variety on the menu either.

Parking can be a bit tricky as they don't have their own parking lot, so street parking only. Majority of seating is outdoors but shaded. They really put a lot of time and dedication to the ambiance. They do have a small parklet area if you want some more shelter. It's fast casual, so order at the window and they'll give you a buzzer that'll go off when your order is ready. I had the breakfast sandwich entree. As you can see, portion sizes are generous and the food did not disappoint! Breakfast sandwich was lightly toasted and the potatoes were well-seasoned. Customer service was a bit lacking. Had to go back to the window a couple of times to ask for stuff and felt bad having to bother them every time. Aside from that, great spot with plenty of seating for a brunch/lunch date.

I had the Marina Burger. The idea of goat cheese sounded good...not on a burger, however...zero seasoning to either of our double patties, so adding whatever doesn't help...no discernible flavor other than overwhelming sloppy goat cheese. The bacon was rubbery...and interesting, also no flavor...bacon w/o flavor?! Ugh. Patties cooked fine...just nothing special. The onions were horrible - sloppy, overcooked...just unappealing. Now I ordered the garlic parm fries...these are horrid. ALL the parm and garlic was at the *bottom,* not a topping, nothing sticked to the fries. Had to eat them with a fork, scooping this non-flavorful topping up w/ the fries...and the garlic is the worst I have ever had...zero flavor, and the parm? Where? It was there, only again, zero flavor. The fries at this place are frozen and have no potato flavor *at all*...so all in all none of either of our meals had any flavor profile or layering...it was simply food...the after taste of grill - smoke flavor is yuck...unenjoyable food all around experience. Now if they say they didn't grill...where is the flavor of smoke coming from? The location is OK...band was on a break, so didn't hear them play...not too busy, but I am curious now what Golden State Kitchen not far from this place has to offer...that was my original choice... Backyard is a meh.

We've lived in Hercules for over 30 years and are creatures of habit, so it was nice to venture the 10-minute drive to San Pablo. We were not impressed by the exterior strip mall building, but the interior of Mely's is very cute, homey, and clean. (I even peeked into the kitchen since the door was open.) I wanted pancakes, but got waffles instead since W ordered the blueberry buttermilk stack. We both had a side of eggs, his scrambled and mine sunny side up. The eggs were delish; mine in particular was perfectly cooked with slightly crunchy edges, a beautiful, silky, runny yolk, and no uncooked whites. The blueberry pancakes are so good! Of course they are huge and I ate some of them in addition to my waffle. We could have split just the pancakes and been perfectly happy. They cook berries inside the homemade batter and top them with a house-made blueberry compote. Maple syrup and soft butter on the side. The waffles are crispy outside with a light, airy, center, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I had strawberries on the side (+$5 !!). Since I ate some of W's pancakes, we took half the waffles home. W had a drip coffee--no decalf available so I had the fresh-squeezed OJ. It was a large glass so I took half of that home, too. The coffee was nothing to rave about, but it was coffee. Service was friendly and efficient--there is only one cook and one server, and it seems several of us arrived at the same time on this Sunday morning. Overall a wonderful find that we will return to so we can explore more dishes. We saw omelets and Benedict's come out that looked amazing! Plus, I want to try the dinner menu, which also looked pretty amazing.
