My family used to go here many times before and would always get taco bowl so I started craving it and decided to go order one. I ordered through yelp and got taco bowl, quesadilla, rice bowl, and fried oreos. The taco bowl was so crispy I got it with carnitas and jerk sauce. My sister got the bowl but didnt like that it was dry and chicken was dry as well. Fried oreos was wrapped in some kind of thick dough. I would only come back for the taco bowl shell. read more

A steak and shrimp bowl with buffalo and ranch is hard to come by at similar places. Visited this location for the first time this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the large portion size. I went here with a friend. Their concept is hella similar to Chipotle. You pick what you want and they make it right in front of you. I got the fried chicken (hard shell) tacos with chips. I glanced away for a second and then back at the employee making my tacos, he just cut up chicken tenders, chunky style. Already I was thinking "great it's just lame-ass tenders." But what should I have expected. As he was asking what I wanted on it I watched him put the smallest dab of toppings just in the center of my tacos. Now, there was a line behind me so I didn't want to argue with the employee to spread that shit all over the tacos. To conclude, the food is just ok. It's nothing spectacular. read more

Gonna have to update my review and knock off stars. I hate doing this But I think the hiccups and kinks are beginning to surface. This is my 4th trip here. Walked in and ordered lunch for the hubby, Mini-Me and I. 3 Burritos, 1 pork, 2 chicken and 1 order each of deep fried Oreo's and curly fries. The wait in line for the walk-in customers was roughly 30 minutes from walking through the door to point of ordering which extended to the line of people behind me. The lady in front of me actually walked out- that is not good, since she was on lunch break and as we all know- time is of the essence when you are working and lunch is the only time you have to eat, every minute counts. SOO long was the wait- that the two guys from the gym next door, standing in front of the lady who left, actually had time to walk back over to the gym and bring back business cards, to discuss membership with people in line in front of them, who had yet to order. Way to multi-task guys-- so, clearly, you can see, that is a bit of a wait time to order lunch. Why was the wait so long you ask- First, there needs to be a plan, procedure or another food bay in the kitchen for larger catered or call in to go orders. Team members assigned to fill the "call in to go or catering" orders cannot be cutting into the food creation line of their fellow team members who are filling the orders of customers who are actually in the store and ordering their food right then and there. Asking that team member to stop what they are doing to put stuff on the to go orders for them, is not okay. It's like being in a buffet line and someone is constantly cutting in front of you to grab the food, you are trying to place on your plate. You kinda wanna just hip-check 'em out of the way, so you can finish your order, pay and get the heck out of there, so the people waiting patiently behind you, foot tapping, can finally move up to order. Time is a tickin' folks! Customers literally are getting frustrated and honestly I even forgot where I was in the middle of ordering the burritos, because there were so many of these interruptions. The polite team member trying to make my orders and others before me was indeed very nice and apologetic, but how many times a day can the poor soul say, "sorry" to a customer because obviously the person (of hire kitchen management) that is interrupting food service, is simply not grasping their faux pas. As with any fast food place there is a weight and measure of the items in this case the proteins- but that small scooper, Bubbakoo please!!! it just isn't going to cut it when the protein is not cut into uniform sizes and I doubt anyone is going to pay extra for more meat after seeing that first scoop. I do not see this being so strict at other Bubbakoo's. Need I remind that there is another "like-minded" burrito food restaurant not too far away that just scoops! in other words the person creating my 3 burritos actually took a scoop of chicken, saw that a few pieces were over the top of the measuring cup and knocked them puppies back into the hot dish (awkward for them, awkward for me) and then proceeded to do the same with the pork. Really? I am sure they were simply following procedure, but come on. SMH Staff is super friendly, great choice of fillings, but please work out the kinks. I'll give it a few weeks and be back. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy Bubbakoo's and our town waited far too long for you to open up over here, but these issues have to get addressed because if I am writing it, others are thinking it and experiencing it as well. read more

Just disinterested and monotone even when I explained my inexperience. Food was awesome and I'll absolutely make it a regular lunch choice since I work at Petco nearby.. I ordered online and the food was good. Unfortunately, it wasn't ready until about 15 mins after the pickup time on the website stated. A couple mins I understand, but 15 mins is a big misjudgment. Idk how that estimate is calculated but you guys should probably get that one figured out. Also, the kid that was working in the front with the hat on clearly doesn't have much of any customer service skills. Didn't apologize/thank me for waiting or thank me for tipping him on a job he already makes an above minimum wage hourly rate. As a guy who worked in restaurants for years, I don't understand how you're not apologetic about something like that plus I know most don't tip anything for a takout order, so that was pretty disappointing. read more

This Bubbakoo's location blows away the others.... I like how they add cilantro to the guacamole here, I don't think the other franchise locations do this. It gives the guacamole a more homemade taste. The shredded chicken tacos are my favorite. The chicken tastes better here too. I've ordered from this location a few times and I won't return to Freehold location simply because the food is better here. Keep up the good work. read more

I usually love bubbakoo's, but my last visit turned me off. I ordered nachos online around 5:45pm for ASAP pickup. The app let me know my order would be ready by 7:05pm, over an hour wait which should be plenty of time. I arrive at the store at 7:10 to pick up my order and there is a long line of customers waiting to pick up food. My order is no where in sight. I wait another 10 minutes before I try to get 1 of the 5 hard working employees attention to check the status of my order and it hasn't even been started yet. It is now 7:20 so I cancel my order after waiting an hour and a half for nachos. This doesn't seem to be at fault of the employees as they were working their butts off efficiently churning out orders. Possibly poor management or ticket system. 3 stars because the food is still good. read more

This Bubbakoo's needs to emulate the Bubbakoo's in Jackson. The food here is slopped together. The service is 50/50 depending on the staff member. We get inconsistent portion sizes and not enough chips with meals. We frequent this establishment, but would definitely just drive to Jackson for better quality and service. read more

If you scan the reviews of this place, you'll see that I gave it one measly star in July of last year. In all fairness, I think the place was just getting its legs--and dammit, I was hungry, and I had to wait an inordinate amount of time for a rushed, sub-par burrito. But after many days and many more trips to Howell's Bubbakoo's, I'm back to update my review. We have to talk about Kayla. Kayla is not just an employee, she's the master--blessed with the ability to masterfully cram roughly 6,000 ingredients into a perfectly wrapped burrito. The other employees are pretty good too, but--I confess to hovering outside and watching until I'm sure that Kayla will be my server. (She deserves a big raise, guys.) I've noticed other reviewers bad-mouthing the ingredients--but I've never noticed anything other than fresh. Sure the place looks a little chaotic when it's busy (and it often is), but depleted ingredients are replaced quickly. I can eat healthy, I can pig out, and whatever I order is always prepared just the way I want it. I'm glad Bubbakoo's is in the neighborhood. And I'm really glad Kayla is in the Bubbakoo's. read more

I love this place so much! I order from here really often. The staff is pretty nice and whilst sometimes they do miss a thing on my crazy taco it's because they're busy but still tastes good! I was pretty shocked to see the previous reviews about this Bubbakoo's location because I think they're really great actually! I order here possibly once or twice a week when I can and they always give me exactly what I ask for and the delivery guys are great! When I go into this location, it is always clean and the workers are always happy and joking around. The food is just as great as the other Bubbakoo's locations I've been to (and I have been to quite a few). I also have to say that the ONE time I had a poor experience (it was a very busy Friday night and my delivery took over an hour), when I called they immediately apologized and offered me a refund for my order. I wasn't even expecting it, I was just hoping they'd let me reorder and pick up but they went above and beyond. read more

I always get the sweet chili shrimp taco combo. It's delicious. The combo is supposed to come with chips & salsa but they never give me the salsa unless I go back and ask for it after checking my bag. The queso is really good. The delivery fee is kind of pricey on top of tipping the driver. There should just be an order minimum instead of a fee like all the other delivery places do. read more

Went to the Howell location at 7:25 PM on August 1, 2020 to pick up my dinner order. Young woman cooking it had her mask down around her neck. Her mouth and nose were not covered. The young man filling to toppings containers didn't have his nose covered and neither did the young man filling the bags with my order. Canceled my order and asked for a refund. I keep having issues with this place. First, they charged me for double meat because I wanted a full scoop of meat on my food, and not a half-scoop of what they scraped out of the bottom of the container. Tonight I found out they want $4 just to deliver the food, on top of the $2 or $3 tip for the driver. A singular burrito delivered to my house is a $20 ordeal? No, thanks.
