We started with the nachos, and if you're expecting your traditional pile of tortilla chips, cheese and toppings, these are definitely not that! They're individual tostadas topped with guacamole, salsa, cheese and crema. A fun twist and actually really delicious. The kids went with the chicken and cheese quesadilla, which was a huge hit. Simple, but SO good, definitely one of those dishes where I kept sneaking bites from the kids. My husband ordered the Tlayuda Masa, and we actually had to ask our server what it was. He immediately told us it was his favorite item on the Masa section of the menu, so of course we had to trust him. And he was absolutely right! It's essentially an open corn tortilla topped with incredibly tender skirt steak and a seriously good sauce. This ended up being one of the standout dishes of the meal. I ordered the pescado and carnitas tacos, two come with each order, and WOW. Both were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I honestly couldn't decide which I liked more, which is always a good problem to have when ordering tacos. And the whole time I kept thinking, "This feels like a restaurant I'd find in Brooklyn." The food is creative without feeling overly complicated, the space is stylish, and there's just a really cool vibe here.
