The only reason for taking off a star was the 'queso' and chips, the chips were great but the queso was not good at all, it tasted like blended refried beans it was not cheesy tasting and had no pull as queso should, it was very odd and it went in the garbage as no one liked it. The food was extremely tasty, and after speaking with the owner their model is that they don't have freezers - everything arrives fresh in the morning and when it sells out, it's gone. If that isn't fresh then I would love to know what is. The pineapple guacamole, queso, and fried burrito were amazing. Oh and, try the street corn!!! If you have a complaint about the price for fresh food, you are eating at the wrong establishment, this isn't Taco Bell, not by a LONGSHOT. Honestly, I've been waiting for Pancho to open since the signs went up in the window. I'm an always say yes to tacos kind of person, so I was ready to try this new place. But! I was prepared to be disappointed - gotta temper the expectations, ya know? There was zero disappointment here, in fact, the food was so good it distracted me from my margarita (best new pandemic skill, just sayin'). I made the 20+ min drive and then waited 45 min for my take out order and it was all worth it. And had I just been smart and planned better I could have called in my order in advance without an issue. Taco Tuesday is my favorite day and it's because of Pancho. I am so annoyed the best Mexican food in the area is not in Red Bank. This place is incredible. My burrito was awesome. My husband's torta was awesome. Salsa and guac were great. The plantains should have 8-10 pieces in the order but there are only 5. The amount of guacamole they give you is also very minimal. Pros: super tasty high quality authentic Mexican food stand items made with love, staff is super friendly, well decorated and clean. Cool ambiance and vibes. Cons: menu is difficult/frustrating to read, food packaging leaves a lot to be desired (sauce in plastic bags make it impossible to apply without a disaster), white styrofoam containers are annoyingly bulky (not eco friendly) and seem awkward given the relatively high price of the food. Limited beverage options. Guac and sour cream were added to the top of quesadilla which is annoying for those who don't care for it as it's not listed on the menu. Will be back for sure. read more

This was my first time visiting Pancho in Little Silver with my partner and I was very disappointed. The only tasty meal on the menu were the Birria Tacos which was similar to the real thing. The amount of rice and beans they gave with my tacos was ridiculous-- about the portion of 2 tablespoons! My partner ordered a chicken burrito and only found three pieces of beans?? The chicken looked like carnitas because it was shredded and the burrito fell apart due to the chicken broth with it! The guacamole tasted refrigerated and store bought. The chips also store bought. Limited beverages. The salsa bags made it very difficult to open and get any from it. The Elote aka the "mexican style Corn on the Cob" was so sweet with all that it came with it and we did not like it not to mention it was one sided with all of the toppings. We then tried the fried banana dusted w/ sugar and cinnamon and those were good but odd it was served with creamy chipotle-- $16 spent for 12 small pieces the size of gum balls. The presentation of the food overall was deceitful. The prices for these unauthentic Mexican meals were totally outrageous. I know they don't claim to make "Authentic" Mexican style food but I was expecting more from them. Not to mention the "decor" of the Guadalupe, ITS NOT MEXICAN DECORATION ITS A RELIGION. I live around the corner from Almost Home and knowing how good their food is, I knew Pancho was a must try. The el pastor taco did not taste authentic- tiny bits of pineapple (looked like it came from a can) chopped up and not marinated with the meat.. taco shell was cold and tough to chew. Meat was salty. I REALLY wanted this place to be good, I live very close and the same owners own some other BANGING restaurants in Monmouth county. I went a few weeks after they opened we ordered the Guacamole, Elote (Mexican corn), fish tacos, and the Birria burrito. I'm going to start with the good, the Birria burrito was good the meat was tender and tasty the ratio of rice to cheese to meat was on point. I'm giving this place three stars for the service and this burrito. Sadly the rest of our meal was not as good: First the guacamole honestly tasted like pre-made Costco guacamole, I really expect a Mexican place to crush it with the guacamole and was disappointed. The corn was grayish in color and either way over boiled (Mexican corn is usually grilled) or it was a frozen ear of corn, either way it didn't taste like delicious Jersey fresh corn which just seems like a missed opportunity in the middle of August. Next the fish tacos, okay these were NOT blackened fish which is described on the menu and note as "market price" they were shmedium SHRIMP. Shrimp tacos were alright but it's NOT a FISH taco. Finally and some other reviews mentioned this, please get rid of the plastic and styrofoam. read more

Cute place. Friendly staff. Was really excited to try this place but was disappointed. I ordered two al pastor tacos ( about $7 each) . There was a decent amount of meat on them. It was accompanied by a very small portion of (about two tablespoons ) rice. Friend got a burrito which was good, Satisfied the craving. And we got one bottle of soda. Totaled about $42 which took us by surprise and one of the reasons for the three stars. The other reasons- my tacos were soooooo salty. Borderline inedible. Also, I wasn't a fan of having to cut my salsa out of a tied up sandwich bag. That's just personal preference though. I felt a lot of the salsa was left behind in the bag and I had no way to get it out. That being said, I'll definitely give them another try just wish the prices were a tad bit lower so I could afford to go sooner rather then later. read more

I have to comment on not only how good the food is, but the service is top notch. We ordered delivery (because, kids) and we only got half our order. I called the restaurant, let them know and the person (I didn't get his name, unfortunately) who answered the phone not only apologized but had the kitchen cook up our missing items and he hand delivered the remaining of our order. Mistakes happen and we would've still gone back but it's customer service like that, that we truly appreciate and that will always make us want to come back. read more

I have been wishing for a really special and unique restaurant to pop up in Monmouth county for a long time. I've been here my whole life and was truly NEVER blown away by a place like I have been with Pancho. I stopped in on a whim to grab lunch to-go for my family a couple of months ago and we tried every taco on the menu. The Birria is by far my favorite. They serve it with this insanely delicious "jus" to dip the taco into and it's so flavorful and addictive. I could put that on ALL the tacos and be happy. I have never liked corn tortillas but the ones here and the perfect vehicles for the delicious meat they have inside. The guacamole is on point and the chipotle cream sauce is the best I have ever had. My ONLY complaint? They put the sauces in baggies and tie them and it's a little off-putting. Other than that, I am so so happy Pancho has moved into Monmouth county!! Whoever is making the tacos in the kitchen has to be insanely passionate about it, because it really feels like they are made with positive intention and love. My husband and I crave it about once a week and ordered delivery twice, each time it came hot. They close at 8 so make sure to order early!! We love Pancho. Cannot wait to order again!!!!! read more
