Vegetarian Red and Green Enchiladas

The restaurant is very cozy and the management makes great effort to ensure each party is greeted and checked up on. That being said, our service on this specific day was a little slow due to the position of our table -- nonetheless still a great experience as the manager came by and ensured our table was taken care of. The food was a generous portion and extremely reasonable for the price. Everything was delicious && I will be back Reyna!! :)

Complimentary Tortilla Chips

Reyna's is a fun Mexican restaurant wherein patrons will eat an exceptional amount of Mexican food, from the introduction of tri-colored tortilla chips and salsas to the combos consisting of multiple different meals at once. There's a friendly atmosphere that will equally suit families as it does purveyors of the brewery that's a few storefronts down. Service is also accommodating and appreciative. The sauce options for the food itself can get to a solid level of spice, which I enjoy having the option of what I'd call an 8/10 spice level. Even Reyna's takeout, namely the torta, includes a solid amount of food with a side of accompaniments, fries, and an entire bag of tortilla chips and salsa. Then the cheesecake is decidedly better than average, crafted with passion as well. I can tell that they take pride in their space when I saw how meticulously the friendly employee cleaned the storefront's glass at the end of the night. Come, enjoy a delicious combo of enchiladas, burritos, etc. at a reasonable price and worry about calories tomorrow.

You have to order the quesabirria, it's tender beef tacos melted with cheese inside a pan-fried corn tortilla that you dip in broth. It's simply the best. Not the best start: there was no hostess at the front, so 3 parties stood there for 3-5 minutes even though there were multiple tables open. Once we were seated it was all good. We sat outside, ambiance was lovely with colorful flags and picnic tables and lively Mexican music in the background. Our server was flying around as the joint was understaffed, but it didn't even matter in the end because she handled it with grace and the food was phenomenal. Every server was so gracious. The kind staff and wonderful food and atmosphere made up for the minor delays in service. Overall it was a really lovely evening!

I did have a bunch of their sauces and salsas. None really stood out except their green sauce, which was used sporadically. Birria Tacos - These were very good. The consommé was flavorful, while the beef was tender. The tortilla was crisp too even with the consommé added. Elote Corn - This was rather plain. There was only a crema and cotija cheese present. It seemed like chili powder was supposed to be added, but I did not taste or see any. The corn could have been cooked a little better too. Guacamole - This was tasty. It appeared fresh and paired well with the chips given. I really liked the texture of it too. Chicken Flautas - These were deep fried tortillas with chicken, sour cream, lettuce, and cotija cheese I believe. These were solid. The chicken could have been seasoned a little more, but the tortillas were crisp and held up. Choriqueso Con Tortillas Tostadas - This was melted jack and Oaxacan cheese topped with Mexican chorizo over toasted nixtamal homemade corn tortillas. The cheese and chorizo was excellent, with lots of flavor. It did not look the best but tasted good. The corn tortilla was either old and stale or just fried way too long as it was very tough to chew. It could have made for a great bite. Will I go back? Debatable.

Once I realized our mistake, we decided to eat here anyway. My wife started with a beat salad that she said was magnificent. She followed that up with a salmon burger with sweet potato fries that she loved. I had a very interesting entree of crispy pork belly over refried black beans with cojita cheese and piece of cheddar jalapeno cornbread. It was great, the pork belly is rich and matched well the black beans and the cornbread. It also went great with my wife's sweet potato fries. We really enjoyed dinner and would try again. We were told that the group who owns Centrada and Il Nido recently bought the restaurant. Both are excellent and I have hopes that the food which was good already to rise to another level.

I waited a good seven minutes until I went around and started to look for someone. We originally wanted to sit outside, but when we asked, they told us there was a bunch of lantern bugs so we chose indoor instead. This was a casual dining experience nothing fancy at all our server was very full of life and nice. We got burgers, which were OK. It was decent enough, but wouldn't come back.
