Amazing, chewy laffa bread, labne with olive oil, garlic confit and zataar, hummus with burnt butter- all awesome!
    Nicole L.

This was easily one of the best meals of my life and I've been vegetarian for 27 years! I don't always have the most flavorful options when I go out to eat, and every bite was interesting and delicious here! The staff was super accommodating (not judgey at all) about my allergies and marked up a menu for me. The halloumi with honey and chamomile, hummus, laffa, labnah with garlic and zataar, grilled leek and amba, grilled fennel and feta, and desserts were ALL amazing! I wish I had more room in my stomach to try more dishes! Will definitely be back on my next trip to London.

    Smacked cucumbers, tahini, chilli crunch

Vegetarian review: My Experience: I entered on a Monday at 12 (opening time) and while it wasn't too busy immediately the place quickly filled up. Service: 5/5 Our server immediately offered us complementary still or sparkling water. Which is rare in London Drinks: Kept it simple with water and tea this round. The mint tea was very nice and came in a lovely ceramic cup with fresh mint leaves Food: 4.5/5 The first course, babaganoush and Labnch, confit garlic, za'atar were very nice. The confit garlic on the lebneh was a stylish touch. Although there was not enough Laffa served with this dish. The Charred oyster mushroom skewer, tamari, coriander seed, agave was a real star, umami and Smokey flavor seeped out of this skewer The Chinese cabbage, preserved lime & cardamom skewer was fantastic, such a beautiful char on the cabbage The smacked cucumbers, tahini, chilli crunch was spicy, but the tahini did a good job of cutting the spice level. The Halloumi, chamomile & fennel honey treated halloumi with the delicacy that a chef respectful of the cheese ought to. Carefully seasoned and well done The Confit potato latkes, toum, Aleppo chilli we're okay, I was hoping for a bit better crunch on the potato and perhaps more flavor in between the slices but it was a bit bland, and the sauce that accompanied it, while great, was minimal The Radicchio, castelfranco, kumquat & basil is really what cost this restaurant it's 5th star. This dish needs to be completely reworked, the only flavor coming through here was bitterness. And radicchio can be tricky to work with, but there needs to be something to complement the bitterness like an acid or spice. Overall, the restaurant has a lovely vibe, a clear theme, great service and some quality dishes. Some dishes need a bit of improvement and better proportions and some need to be reworked completely, but a lot of potential here!

Widely regarded as one of the city's most popular vegan restaurants, it delivers food that is satisfying, hearty, and packed with flavour. I ordered the Chick+n Caesar Burger, which featured a plant-based chick+n patty, Caesar mayonnaise, lettuce, and red onion relish. My wife chose the Beetroot Carrot Vada Burger, made with a masala-spiced beetroot and carrot patty, mango lime slaw, green chutney, and tamarind chutney. Both burgers were served with a generous portion of fries and made for a very filling meal. What stood out most was the quality of the flavours and the portion sizes. Every ingredient felt thoughtfully chosen, and the combinations worked exceptionally well together. As someone who regularly eats meat, I was genuinely impressed by the texture and flavour of the Chick+n Caesar Burger. We also ordered two fresh juices: the Cucumber, Celery & Apple and the Pineapple, Apple, Ginger & Turmeric. Both were refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply looking to try something different, Mildreds is well worth a visit. The menu is creative, the food is delicious, and the overall experience demonstrates just how good plant-based dining can be. Highly recommended if you're visiting London and exploring the Covent Garden area. Service was great - super friendly staff Ambiance was nice - a chilled, quiet, progressive crowd

The mains were so good. We had the Korean fried chicken burger (which was HUGE, by the way), the beetroot burger, and the tofu salad. The burgers were very good, but boy, when I took a bite of my friend's salad, I fell in love. It was refreshing, the flavors were yum, and I'm drooling a bit rn thinking about it. The staff were extremely quick, kind, and sweet. There's lots of seating, although the downstairs area was quite packed. Overall, I loved the ambience of the place!

The moment I step in, one of the staff explained the concept of Tibit to me. Items are clearly labelled. Because I was there around breakfast time, I did not get a chance to see the lunch and dinner options. With that said, I really enjoyed the vegan "sausage" roll (1.60 pound). It was flakey on the outside and filled with delicious UFO (unidentified filling option). I commend Tibits for their plant-based ingenuity.

It was clean and roomy, and I liked the overall vibe. 4/5 SELECTION: It's all vegetarian (but they have labels for which are vegan, along with some other allergy notifications) and it's like a hot food bar, where you put whatever you want on a plate and then they weigh it, and you pay per 100g. There are 40 different dishes offered daily, including salads, hot dishes, and desserts. They also have drinks and cocktails. 3/5 WHAT I GOT: From what I remember/can see from my picture, I got white rice, mixed greens, bok choy, a grilled veggies mix, a green beans mix, a potatoes and peas mix and some of an artichoke dish. All of the stuff I got was vegan. It was all pretty good and tasted fresh and of good quality -- in fact, it was probably the best buffet/hot food type bar I've ever been to. None of it tasted like it'd been sitting out for a while, and none of it was undercooked or tasted too processed. The only complaint I have is that I wish they refrained from using oil, but it actually could've been much worse, so that's that. 3/5 SERVICE: The employees seemed friendly. I mean, we didn't really need to interact with them much, given the style of eatery, but they seemed nice lol. 4/5

Dishoom Covent Garden is a modern Indian restaurant inspired by the Irani cafés of Bombay,…read morecombining traditional Indian flavors with a vintage atmosphere and carefully designed interior. We walked into a space that felt different from a typical Indian dining experience because of the attention to detail in the décor, lighting, and overall atmosphere. The room had a classic yet lively feel, with a balance between old-world charm and a more upscale restaurant setting that made it feel like a place we could enjoy for both a casual meal or a special occasion. The food is the biggest reason to visit, with a menu that focuses on bold flavors and a mix of traditional dishes and modern interpretations. We ordered a few items and found the Chicken Ruby one of the standout dishes, with tender chicken and a rich, flavorful sauce that had a good balance of spices without becoming overwhelming. The Black Daal is another signature item and is worth trying because of its slow-cooked texture and deep flavor, with a comforting quality that paired well with the naan and other breads from the menu. Beyond the more well-known dishes, Dishoom has a variety of smaller plates that made it easy to try different flavors. The Gunpowder Potatoes and Okra Fries were great options if we wanted something to share, while dishes like lamb chops, biryani, and paneer provided more variety depending on our preferences. The menu had enough options for both people looking for familiar Indian dishes and those wanting to explore something different. The drinks are also an important part of the experience, especially the chai. The restaurant's chai has become one of its most recognizable items and fit well with the café-inspired concept. Having a warm drink alongside the food added to the overall atmosphere and made the meal feel more complete rather than just focused on the main dishes. One thing to keep in mind is that Dishoom can get very busy, especially during peak dinner hours. Reservations are helpful when available, but the restaurant also manages walk-ins with a queue system. If we did have to wait, the complimentary chai while waiting was a nice touch and made the process feel less inconvenient. The Covent Garden location was also in a convenient area for exploring nearby attractions before or after our meal. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the experience smooth without feeling rushed. Overall, Dishoom Covent Garden is one of the most memorable Indian dining experiences in London. The combination of flavorful food, unique atmosphere, and thoughtful service makes it stand out from a standard Indian restaurant. Between the signature dishes, café-inspired design, and welcoming environment, it is a place we would recommend adding to a London itinerary, especially for anyone looking to experience Indian cuisine in a different way.

This restaurant was recommended to me by someone who comes here whenever they're in London and it did not disappoint. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the restaurant is very busy/popular. I decided to have lunch on my own and there was about a 15 minute wait. All of the staff I interacted with were very kind, and the inside of the restaurant is dimly lit so it sets a cool and intimate vibe. It's a very vibrant atmosphere. The menu had so many delicious options to choose from. I went with the vegetable samosas to start and a fresh nimbu soda which was very refreshing. For my main dish I had the chicken ruby and a said of garlic naan. Everything was so incredibly fresh. The food was served as soon as it was done being prepared and the flavors were immaculate!!!! 10 out of 10! No notes! And I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking. For appetizers, we got some samosas and chili chicken which were delicious! They also gave us some of these rice crackers with different sauces which were delicious. For our entrees, we got some biryani, ruby chicken and rice, malai chicken, the gunpowder potatoes and 3 orders of naan! It was all delicious! The biryani with the yogurt sauce is my personal favorite but their garlic naan is great too. For dessert, we got the chocolate cake and I opted for the chai to end the meal which was delicious! This meal was stunning and you must stop by Dishoom while in London.
